HP 15: Turn on Bluetooth

I'm trying to connect my phone via bluetooth for my laptop (HP 15), which uses a wireless internet connection.  I followed the steps online: settings > change PC settings > wireless... except that the option 'Wireless' is not an option.  I have PC and devices, accounts, OneDrive, search and apps, privacy, network, time and language, ease of access and update and recovery than my options.  I used to connect, but I'm not sure why I have more the option 'Wireless '.  Thank you for your help.

Hello

    Hello

You can activate Bluetooth using the FN + F8 key combination. Just press this combination to turn on and if your laptop is equipped with a WLAN hardware switch, turn it on too.

After this start Toshiba Bluetooth tool and search for Bluetooth devices. :)

  • Turn off Bluetooth to run at startup.

How can I disable bluetooth running each time windows starts, I like _only sometimes_ - not always. My laptop is A200 23W and I always on WiFi.

The easiest way is to remove the "Bluetooth Manager" shortcut in the startup folder.
Here is the explanation for XP, but it works in the same with other versions of Windows:
-mouse-right click on "start" "" select "explore all users".
-remove the shortcut in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu Menu\Programs\Startup\Bluetooth Manager"
    Restart now.
Note that no Bluetooth will begin at startup. Press + and select Bluetooth to turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
(You can also start "Bluetooth settings" of the Bluetooth folder if you prefer this way).

  • Satellite A300 - 1 M 9 - cannot turn off Bluetooth

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 - 1 M 9 with a new installation of Windows 7 x 64 ultimate. I installed all the drivers I could find, and the system works fine.

However, turning off the Bluetooth feature does not work. When I use the key FN to turn off bluetooth power turn on over 30 seconds, and when I turn it off Bluetooth settings it is also upward. In the center of Windows 7, I can see how the bluetooth device goes away when I turn it off and then quickly reappears.

How can I change this behavior so that it disables and active only when I said to do? :)

    Hello

Have you tried to turn Bluetooth off in Device Manager? It works or do you need Bluetooth from time to time?

I assume that you have installed the latest driver for Bluetooth on the Toshiba site?

Last but not least, you should try to update the BIOS. You can get the latest version on the Toshiba site.

    Hello

Looks like you're not able to turn on Bluetooth.

If this is the case, here are some steps recommended by Apple General troubleshooting:

    • Based on what you said, this step should help and is the fist step I recommend you do that is to reboot your device.
      • Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
      • Drag the slider to completely turn off your phone.
      • Once the phone is off, press and hold down the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears
    • If you are trying to pair the iPhone with another bluetooth device, make sure that your iPhone and the device are close together.
    • Make sure that the Bluetooth accessory is turned on and fully charged. Accessory test to see if it needs new batteries.
    • Restart the bluetooth accessory.
    • Make sure that you use the latest version of iOS
    • If you are trying to pair a bluetooth accessory, unfair it first, then place it in discovery mode.

    I hope this helps!

To activate the Bluetooth and WLAN connection, you must use the WiFi hardware on the laptop switch and if you press FN + F8 to toggle.

  • Satellite A100-338: how to move it or turn off bluetooth

    Hello

I have an A100-338 on a platform of vista Home premium 32-bit that supports bluetooth. It has a bluetooth stack, but how do I turn it on or disable bluetooth?

I went to the toshiba download page and it suggests I have remove the battery and install the new driver called btmon vista and restart. It also States that I should then use the recovery disk to install the Bluetooth stack, see note 2 to read me first note text of new pilot (I might be missing just something here)

If I use the restore disc according to the manuals provided by toshiba, the laptop HDD a100-338 will be wiped on his first day of purchase. Really, I don't want to do this, but wish to use bluetooth.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Turn on bluetooth for too long

So I just bought a Apple Watch, and of course, it must be connected via bluetooth. I'm afraid that my phone turn on bluettoth long period damage. T it? Or iphones have superior functionality for cases like this.

Question side: did turn cellular data for long hours or frequent twisting / cell data stop harmful for the phone?

    iGabo wrote:

    T it?

Of course not.  Why would a design company and sells a device that would be detrimental to itself?  They would not.

  • How do you turn on Bluetooth? Or how can I make it work?

    Hello

I got this compaq Presario CQ61 on November 15, 2009.

Everything was fine with it for more than a month, but since the end of last year, I get this small windows all the time that appears: "BTTray - error: unable to start bluetooth stack service".

To try to get rid of it, I disabled my Bluetooth in turn it off

    But windows still appears...

So, I would open my Bluetooth again (since he did not help) until I could use it with my phone...

The problem is that the icon has disappeared 'Control Panel' or 'Device Manager '.

In "Programs and features", I see "module built-in HP with wireless technology - Broadcom Corporation - 6.2.0.9600 '... However, in the 'Programs' folder, I go to "WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software, I see a lot of .exe and among them, the BTTray... but clicking on it or all the others, nothing happens and nothing opens...!

Do you think I should uninstall this program? It's the same one I see in "Programs and features": "Module integrated HP - Broadcom Corporation - 6.2.0.9600 bluetooth wireless technology"...?

Where to get a replacement for this 6.2.0.9600... I tried without success!

My computer is clean of viruses and malware. I use "AVG anti-virus" and also "Malwarebytes '...

It seems I'm not the one with this problem... but I can't find the right answer on the forums. Can you please help? Thanks and best wishes

    Shaanou

You can uninstall HP integrated in programs & devices and reinstall latest since your drivers page. You may need to use HP Wireless Assistant to BT to activate again before installing the driver.

To find your driver, select your specific model CQ61 HERE

  • Can I turn off Bluetooth ON but keep WIFI?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 computer with a switch keyboard that activates or not the wifi and bluetooth.

I also have a bluetooth speaker that I use for music.

My computer is plugged into an ethernet which becomes active when the keyboard switch is 'off '.

I want to use the Ethernet connected all by activating my bluetooth speaker.  However, I can't do that because when I turn the switch "on" wireless keyboard and bluetooth become active.

Is there a way to activate bluetooth and wifi to get away?

    Hello:

If you have not already done so, you can download and install the software HP Wireless Assistant for the operating system you are running on the download page for your laptop. The HP Wireless Assistant will allow you to independently control your Bluetooth, wireless adapter is enabled or disabled and.

If it is already installed, just launch it and click on the gray button to turn off your wireless network card.

  • Cannot turn off bluetooth from the option of the family disappeared in the context menu of Tablet

    Hello

Well, I installed Win 7 on my X61t, as well as new software from Lenovo, and I can't understand how to disable bluetooth now. I used to do that via the context Menu in tablet, I had radios settings there and I could turn off/turn on the WiFi and Bluetooth separately there. Now, I have only one option of radio wireless disable, which basically does the same thing as the wireless switch, so it's a bit useless.

I guess that option could have dissaperaed because I have not installed logins now (and I can't install it because I'm fine with what I get with 7).

So, how can I disable BT now? I tried through the taskbar icon, I tried via the Control Panel, through network connections, even through the Device Manager. Even when I disable all BT devices and connections Bluetooth LED remains on, so it is not totally disabled at the hardware level. Of course, so I want to be able to turn off quickly, as I did through the context menu of the Tablet, via the control panel is not really a solution anyway.

Oh, and I don't know if it's important, but the Bluetooth light is on all the time during the boot now, and I don't think that it was before. Although maybe I just never used on startup with bluetooth turned on, so I didn't notice... here, not sure.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, has soon!

    Dear Stansfield

Hope a low-tech suggestion works for you.
Have had a similar experience with the portability of devices two radio WLAN and Bluetooth individually vs black & white radio power.

Found I needed to load the last shortcut key driver in your case for a X 61 Tablet 7764 CTO,
    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-68009

Then use the combination Fn and F5 (in blue) instead of other options in some menus of the Windows user interface.
And voila, I found that the behavior has been defined in the "Fn + F5 parameters" button at the bottom of the pop-up window, the second box option
"Alternate between turn off all wireless radios and by turning on all radios.
instead of the first choice that I wanted
'Display a menu that allows me to control the parameters of power to radio wireless in my system individually.

Had the behavior corrected, and now he's doing what I want to happen.
It will be useful for you, too.
