HP 15r205tu: i3 5010u, uncore after sleep and wake up power consumption increases

After start of the uncore cpu power remains unused 1W (according to the CPUID HWmon) below.

If you sleep and wake up the laptop, then the uncore power increases to approx. 2W.

Time remaining on the systray icon is touched by it.

Navigation on the duration of use of a low-power battery is reduced after sleep wake cycle.

Is this a known issue? Is there a solution?

Thanks for the post and suggestions.

Now, I know what has caused this problem.  I had turned off the network adapter cable into the Device Manager to save energy!

This caused the uncore somehow to go crazy and pointing up (only after the day before). Now, I have activated the wired lan card and all is well. The laptop can be used for about 9 hours on battery power saving mode now sometimes the loading of web pages.

Thanks again.

PS: If any unused pci express port is disabled it can lead to the same behavior.

  • Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered successfully after sleep, and then blue screen

original title: display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered successfully after sleep, then BSOD.

Well, if not some time ago, we got a Nvidia GeForce 240GT video card. We used an ATI Radion 3460 I think and it worked normally. Then when we got the nVidia card, we started to see the problems. Occasionally, he would show the blue screen of death. I tried to reproduce the error and came to an interesting conclusion. Whenever I put the computer in sleep mode turn off mode 'sleep', I wait a bit and then the login screen appears. I connect and it shows me the "display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and was recovered successfully. Then after that, if I go on YouTube and try to watch a video, the computer hangs and a BSOD would leap upward. I am angry. I used "standby mode" so and with the new map video, everything got worse. I tested this problem on Windows Vista and 7. And btw, the drivers are up-to-date, I made sure the driver nvlddmkm himself file is up-to-date, and temperatures are perfect.

update the drivers from NVIDIA. Also make sure that your power supply is powerful enough to handle the new nVIDIA card. "A programmer is just a tool that converts the caffeine in code" Deputy CLIP - http://www.winvistaside.de/

  • Since the upgrade to El Capitan, Lightroom crashes after sleep and requires Force Quit. Is there any solution for this?

It happens constantly and is extremely frustrating. Everyone knows this or does anyone know a fix?  I use an Imac, retina 5K to 27 in late 2015.

    Thanks in advance.

Disconnect all your external drives, then check if blocking is occurring always. El capitan has made some changes that actually a bit lazy with reassembly of external hard drives after reactivation, and it's a good idea to check if the cause of your problem is the external drives. If this does not prevent blocking problems, you can reset your Lightroom preferences files. See here: http://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

  • Dell 11 7140 place - do not start after reboot and shutdown without power connected

    Hi all

I had problems with my new Dell 11 7140 place since I bought it. If I reboot or shutdown the Tablet without the power cable plugged in, it crashes on start/stop to a black looking screen as he stopped (but it isn't). He will sit on this State forever or until the battery is completely discharged. If I press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds I can force a shutdown and turn off the tablet.

It's even worse if; After that I have to reboot the machine, it just sits there on the circle of rotation points and never goes anywhere. After a few tries, it will eventually in windows recovery, but he never manages to recover anything. The only way to get the Tablet working again is to reimage the dos operating system.

    I tried the following:

    1. Most recent of the installed BIOS A07
    2. All the latest pages Dell device drivers
    3. The latest version of Windows Update
    4. I tried to start in safe mode, but get points again spinning
    5. Tried to restore points that had once or twice the PC to start again, but the system is messed up. Built in Windows apps like photo viewer don't work anymore and I just to reimage.
    6. Tried running the Dell diagnostics, but which did not find anything wrong

The funny thing is that if I reboot or shutdown with the power connected, then everything is OK. I can do this all day with no problems. Standby and hibernation work OK with no power attached.

I have tried everything I can, but I'm at a stage where he's going to have to go back to Dell. Please can anyone give me any suggestions of what I can try, thank you.

To follow up on this post, the final solution to this issue was to return to the Dell Tablet. The motherboard has been replaced under warranty and since it was returned to me I have had no more problems.

  • HP Envy m4 Windows 8 do not sleep and wake properly

I recently got a HP Envy with Windows 8 m4, and every time I try to sleep, he never goes in mode 'sleep'. I'm assuming, since fans are always running up and the power light is still on (not flashing). If I try to wake him up, he doesn't. I tried pressing the power button, by clicking on the mouse and trackpad and typing on the keyboard. I tried to change the settings of the Control Panel, but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Responsive touchpad after sleep and the screen lock

    Hi all

I have a Pavilion dv6 and the touchpad has the groovy feature where I can type in the upper left corner to turn it off. The problem is that when the screen saver comes on and locks the keyboard, the touchpad responsive when I unlock the computer and I have to turn it off again. He also always reactivate during the resumption of the mode standby and doesn't remember the State it was at the time to sleep.

Is there a way so that it can remember what state that I put it? I don't want to disable it completely, because I use it, but it's annoying having to keep the neutralization of him.

    Scott.

    Thanks David,.

This tip was very close, but not quite right for the version of the touchpad software I have. He however gave me what I needed to understand that such an option has even existed!

    In my Touchpad settings:

On the left hand side select "Tapping" and then "cogwheels" parameters which appear to the right

The 'Touchpad Switch' option off for a session is there.

Who is doing what I wanted. It enables even when the screen is locked is not a problem, but it disables it again when I unlock it.

    Thank you.

  • Windows 8. The mouse cursor disappears after that my computer sleeps and wakes up then.

I unchecked property "mouse shadow."  After about 5 minutes of my violin with the other properties of the mouse, the cursor appears again.  My computer is brand new.

    Howdy,

I too have been looking for forums and playing with the power settings for days - it was driving me crazy!

I happy to report that I found a work around for this problem.

Simply plug your mouse / KB in a USB hub - I got a hub powered bus of really cheap 4 ports (one that does not require an external power supply). If you like your classic Intellimouse Optical as I do, it may be the solution for you.

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Create custom jobs sleep and wake-up

Hey people, I'm looking for someone who is a little geekier then I have helping me fit these tasks.

What I want to do is, PC

#1 switch mode 'sleep' when it has been idle longer than 10 minutes beginning at 10:30 and ending at 02:30.

    #2 wake up at 05:55.

It was working fine until I disabled the two tasks for a few weeks, because I wanted the PC to stay on 24/7, and then re enabled them.

The PC wakes up now at 05:55 (while leaving no log entry in the task history), then the task of "put the pc to sleep" he puts to sleep 15 minutes later.

In my view, that it is a question too simple for TechNet. I was able to get the conflict. I also changed the task of awakening to do something useful instead of running just an empty cmd.

I now update the signature for MSE file. Please mark my answer as the answer. I paste in the task that is exported for someone else who may want to use it.

A secondary question is why does have the external USB drive go upward because some accessible a network port?  Nothing on the disc has been consulted.

    Thank you!

You will need to turn off the wake for network access in the energy saving settings.

  • Windows 7 is extremely slow going sleep and wake.

I timed it the other day; It has taken almost five minutes for Windows enter the mode 'sleep'. I tried to turn it back on, and it took literally five minutes before the logon screen appears. She does on a regular basis, and it starts to become very irritating. I tried to update my drivers, but Device Manager claims they are up-to-date. If it helps, I run the 64-bit version on a HP laptop with 4 GB of ram. The processor is an AMD Turion 64 X 2 TL - 60 to 2 GHz. I can provide more information if necessary. If anyone has any advice at all, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

A problem of incompatibility for 7 with your chiopset drivers (ACPI). You can try to find the Win 7 drivers on the website of the manufacturer of the system and on Windows Update.

    Hello

I m not a Portege M800 owner but normally I would say that you should try to update the BIOS and install all Windows updates, but you already have it not.

What can you do now? If you have installed your own version Windows try again with the factory settings. Maybe it has something to do with software or then I don't know m.

  • HP Envy D410a computer sleep and offline wireless OSX problem

    Hello

I'm new but I searched on this forum as well as the apple support forum to get answers.  The problem, I tried to correct is limited to the Wireless business.   I'm under 10.6.7 OSX and Windows 7 64-bit.  Now I can constantly reproduce the problem of the printer goes offline on a Mac, but the D410a works perfectly with Windows 7 64 bit.  I can stop the windows computer or put it to sleep and to restore power or he wake D410a functions perfectly.

When I put my Mac to sleep then wake him up, I lose the connection to the D410a.  Specifically, I'm trying to print or scan him unsuccessfully using "Preview", the HP Scan 3 utility, as well as the location of Print & Fax that allows you access to the parser.  Try several suggestions throughout these forums, I was able to partially address the problem. I read on the issue of the "Energy Saving" being a problem feature.  I tried power saving setting in the options "after 5 minutes of inactivity" and "after 15 minutes of inactivity'.  But the problem seems to come from the Mac.

I put my IP on the D410a address to an IP address outside DHCP (static IP).   I fiddled with the configuration of the router, ensure that the printer signal is strong, or that the router is to remember its location.  I played a bit with port forwarding, (don't know what I was really doing). I have checked the firewall settings on the Mac, and they turned off the coast.

Now as I said earlier, the only way I can get the D410a to respond to any request of Mac such as printing or scanning wireless. is either entering in my router (Dlink DIR - 655-cutting) and make some changes and save the settings.  I guess that's somehow resets the D410a and becomes available on my Mac.  The other way I can 'Reset printer' is on the print server and playing with a few features.  Specifically, I changed the gateway to 0.0.0.0 and the printer printed what was on the qeue.  After having put the Mac to sleep he lost the connection.  I changed the gateway to 192.168.2.1 and the printer and the scanner have been "reset".  Finally, it loses the connection to the Mac.

Please, help me with smoothing this mess.  I like to use Windows, but there are things on my Mac that require the use of the D410a.  Have work would improve my workflow.  I just got this printer today and I'd rather not go through the hassle to return because I bought this printer for its quality of size and compact construction.

... I forgot to mention that I tried to completely reinstall the software.  I also tried an installation of the drivers in a specific order.  1 uninstall the HP drivers > restart Mac > add printer drivers and install Apple HP > download full HP drivers from the website and install.

Check if your router multicast/IGMP proxy and transmission to enable them if they are not. They mess with re-discovery service of HP I think.

Let me know if it works

  • Windows Mobile 8 turns is not on after sleep.

I have a Haier laptop with windows 8 is installed. Few days back my laptop got problem with mode 'sleep', it might be light not after sleep and I had to stop it to turn it on. This time after sleep, I tried to turn it on, but it has been set for the auto repair, after some time it says "Your PC couldn't be repaired" with options like system restore, refresh, reset, guest... Whenever I turn on the same process repeats... Now what should I do? Any suggestions?

Since your laptop now Windows 8 OS, you will have an error "the inserted media is not valid" when inserting it with Windows 8.1. To get this fix you are trying to insert the media Windows with Windows 8 OSrecovery or installation. Then, try to update your PC or reset your PC. Otherwise, you must reinstall Windows 8.1 with your media recovery instead of use the refresh or Reset.

    Kind regards
