HP 17-f053us: mobo replacement and windows 8.1 activation code

Model # 17 - f053us

Product # G6R30UA #ABA

Windows 8.1

I bought this laptop News 16 months ago and the two USB 3.0 ports failed and he is now out of warranty.  I bought a used mobo 763422-501 similar to that of the computer now.  I read on the map after a map change parent, you must re-enable windows 8.1 and the key is embedded in the BIOS.  Is there a way to get the key of activation from the BIOS before you start the replacement?  Should I have the activation key of the replacement card or the motherboard that is in your computer now? Y at - it other traps that I could meet with this replacement?

Yes, I was referring to the Council that went into the laptop. If the new Board of Directors has a built-in Windows key can just choose it upward, but if not you have the original key to use.

  • Can not disable windows and put an another activation code

I read on one of the threds here this

If it's an OEM license - No. OEM licenses are bound to the first computer, they are installed on and cannot be transferred to another computer.

It leads me to ask about my problem. I used my laptop OEM activation to activate the windows on my computer. He lets me activate and reported as authentic but a guy who helped me clean this model of think of malware, I have NON-genuine windows. Now I have another windows XP SP3 that I haven't used and I want to put this code, but XP won't let me.

    When I do

before you perform the following steps:

    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. in the Open box, type Regedit and then click OK.
    3. in the left pane, search for, and then click the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current WPAEvents

    4. in the right pane, right-click OOBETimer, and then click on edit.
    5. change at least one digit of this value to deactivate Windows.
    6. click on start and then click Run.
    7. in the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK.

    %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a

When I do that said windows is already activated. I can't start a new activation process.
This keeps back restore registry value
    OOBETimer

I even tried KeyUpdateTool_enu.exe and said that the new activation number is the same as on the machine.

    This is apparently a problem
    Scan of MGADiag.exe

    --> HWID data
    N/A

    Activation 1.0 data OEM-->
    BIOS string matches: no
    BIOS marker string: N/A
Marker of OEMBIOS string. DAT: GIGABYTE

    Activation 2.0 data OEM-->

    Any suggestions?

  • Unable to activate Windows, error wrong activation code

I bought a 2006 Dell Studio 1555 with Windows 7 Pro/service pack of a member of my family about six weeks ago. It came with an installation disc (not OEM) and a key product, but when I did a reinstall of the computer keeps telling me that it is not the right activation code. It is also very slow during the update of Windows. I checked the product with Winkeyfinder 2.0 key and the program says it is the correct key but microsoft won't always validate. I have always used and had good results with Microsoft products up to now. I was just wondering if it is my mistake to correct or someone elses. I used windows os since version 1.0 and have never had this kind of problem. Please help me find an answer. Thank you

I have the disc copy windows 7 starter edition. but I have not key activate Windows 7 starter edition. can u help me how to activate... ?

a look at the COST that is attached to your computer or in the compartment to batteries. This is where you can find your product key.

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

    Once downloaded, run the tool.

Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button.

Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message.

Please indicate the version and edition of windows from your COA. do not specify the product key.

    Hi James,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.

According to the description, you have problems installing updates.

The problem may occur due to incorrect parameters with Microsoft Installer logging.

Perform operations from the links below and see if it helps.

You cannot install some programs or updates

You may receive a "0x8007F0F4" error code when you try to install the updates on the Windows Update Web site or the Microsoft Update Web site

Important:  This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    Hope this information helps.

    Good day!

  • New laptop: product upgrade to Windows 10, confused activation Code.

Tried going to Win 10.  Machine directly from the factory, never used.

Requests product key as not active.  But as OEM no key available.

CTRL-X system says not active.  Press activate and it said: everything is done.    Option not on Metro "change PC settings."

Nothing unusual.  This should apply for 99% of users.

The solution is that, somehow, this machine hardly used became totally corrupt.  Wifi networking stopped and activation has been confused.

So a factory full reset (nothing else would do) and then everything worked correctly.

    Lessons

    • The system report Windows-X of the activation status is significant noise and not only.  If it says not active there is a real problem to solve, even if the tricks of metro says it is activated.

Thanks for those who have tried to help.

  • Can't activate Windows 7, as the activation code is an update

A friend convinced me to let move me from XP to W7. I've never had so many problems with my PC and it is as slow as ever.   Apparently he is not a genuine version of W7 I'm unable to activate and can not be updated.  Now the guy who has installed, it will not talk to me.  I don't want to buy the program if I don't have to.  They gave me the activation code is for an update and not the original activation code.  Suggestions - also the obvious of course?

Also, I was using IE9 I think and Adobe Flashplayer kept crashing so I changed to Firefox - same problem.  Switched to Chrome - same problem.  What the f & % #?
