HP 17-w005na OMEN: keys stick on laptop Omen

Hi, I noticed that my new laptop key HP Omen stick on games, which means for example in doom when move my character will continue in this direction when I release the keys.  I thought it was the game itself, but it has now happened in several games such as Doom, Doom 3 and Ark.  This happens not all the time.  Looking around this seems to be a recurring problem with HP laptops.  Is there a fix because it restores a portable game useless if your in middle of a game and your WSAD keys suddenly go haywire.  I really hope that it is a software problem that can be fixed.  Help.

Hello

The only option I see and that may be worth trying is to make sure that you are running the latest version of the bios ( F.09 Rev.A ) that she mentions "Improved offer keyboard behavior matches are played on the system."

http://FTP.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp76501-77000/sp76810.CVA

You can check the version of the current bios of notebooks by holding down the fn key and pressing esc.

If you are running a previous revision, F.09 Rev.A can be found on the following link.

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp76501-77000/sp76810.exe

If you are already using this bios, or it is not correct the problem, my best advice would be to contact HP in this regard when the machine is still under warranty.

If you live in the United Kingdom, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

Kind regards

  • Vista product key sticker is worn. How can I get code?

my friend has a Toshiba Satellite phone that she bought from a retailer in the United Kingdom. Vista stopped booting and I checked the hard drive that has no bad sectors. It seems that I need to reinstall Vista, but the product key sticker is affixed to the underside of the computer and some of the numbers are worn. Looking carefully with a magnifying glass class I seem to have 21 out of what looks like 24 digits.

Anyone know how I can get the rest of the code? I have all the other codes from beneath the laptop. This includes the serial number of the laptop and the number that is greater than the activation key and bar codes.

In any case a round of applause for the one who puts the sticker under the laptop, where it must obviously be carried away.

Current situation for laptops.  More recent, some manufacturers are put it in the compartment to batteries or if I hear.

The activation key will be 5 sets of 5 characters.  You write what you can now.

Contact Toshiba and explain the situation.  See if they will give new keys (which I doubt.)  If this is not the case, contact Microsoft by using the information in this article:

  • Product key sticker is not readable, what can I do?

Hi, I reinstalled windows vista on my laptop, but it has stopped working. I bought windows vista with laptop a few years ago. The sticker key on my laptop is in bad shape and I can read only 3 sets. Is there a way I can get this key? I'm not sure but maybe I had also registered my product with MS also. A way to recover these data? etc.

    Any help is appreciated.

If you reinstaledl using recovery discs/partiton, there should be no need to use the key from the COA - what drive did you use?

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag (download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 ) tool
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, which will produce the report.

I made a recovery disk and reinstalled vista, I don't activate windows and now im area to and I can't find my cd and the product key on my laptop sticker disappeared. I need a new product key.

We cannot give you a new product key

you are pretty much out of luck

key finder program will not find your product key that your system and your sticker is faded

Contact Toshiba if it is a machine of toshiba and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

  • Faded to the Windows 7 product key sticker

I had to install a new hard drive on my laptop and did not have a Windows 7 installation disc Toshiba - laptop came with pre-installed software. The sticker of the product key on the base of the laptop is faded, so I used 3rd party software and extract the key from the registry. I downloaded an iso of Win 7 and used this product key and all very busy, and I used it successfully for the past few weeks. Now, it is said, I have 10 days to activate my product key is invalid for activation. I have read various threads that keep that product key recovered and used for the loading of Windows & is not suitable for activation, so I'm back to faded sticker. I figured out all but one the letters/numbers and wonder if I enter the product key sticker, and I guess that last number (I think it's a B, a 3 or an 8), if it turns out to cheat should I get another chance to enter the product key and try one of the other numbers/letters combinations? Thank you

You will never be able to activate a downloaded the ISO of Windows 7 with the key that came with the laptop. Your laptop came with a Toshiba OEM of Windows 7 version, and the ISO would be a commercial version.

You have to get a set of recovery discs from Toshiba or purchase the complete retail Windows 7 installation.

  • I have the windows product key sticker, but some of them are deleted. I really need help to send a photo to show him what it's like.

    Original title: product key

    Hello

I have the windows product key sticker, but some of them are deleted. I really need help if I can send a photo to show him what it's like. I formatted my laptop and he asks the authentic copy. I really need help coz 2 days left to activate.

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

You can extend the activation period of 30 days by running slmgr /rearm since the Admin command prompt.

Then take a picture of your COA sticker with your phone, blow as large as possible to try to detect all the characters input for Activation.  You can also use a magnifying glass.

If you can not use the key to product then you will need to either the order of the restoration of the factory of the manufacturer of your PC media, or if you have a C:\windows.old folder you can try to reinstall the factory to SLP activation file.  However we do not support this so you will need to search on your own.

  • Download Windows 7 Pro ISO, authentic, not infected by malicious software. Official. I have the product key in my laptop.

My PC is about to fail, when can I download Windows 7 Pro ISO, authentic, not infected by malicious software. Official. I have the product key in my laptop.

    Hello

Choose your version of bits (32-bit or 64-bit) on the link:

Download the correct ISO file and make your own drive and use the product key located on the COA sticker.

    http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-image-downloads.12325/

And Neosmart has instructions on how to burn ISO disk images using imgburn:

    http://NeoSmart.NET/wiki/Burning-ISO-images-with-ImgBurn/

The COA sticker is either on the underside of the laptop or in the battery compartment (you did already).

By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

If it does require phone activation, do not follow Demand of Auto, but brace yourself for a real person explain as to what has been done for purposes of re-setup

"How to activate Windows 7 by phone '

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

The above method also requires that you go to your computer manufacturer's website > Support and downloads Section > locate your model number and operating system > then download and install the latest drivers for it.

  • The Windows product key sticker has disappeared and cannot use it to activate

Windows product key sticker is missing at the bottom of my laptop and I can't do some of the latest figures, my laptop computer manufacturer did not provide any hardware Windows 7 or a disk and I contacted them and they won't help. My windows 7 is actually owner I have the sticker on the bottom of my laptop as evidence, can I send this to microsoft to help out me? also note, I had problems with my laptop and realizing that the hard drive has indeed not my old windows 7 installed and the hard drive is faulty, it cannot be extracted, that is the reason why I have a problem.

your manufacturer would have provided a recovery partition on your hard drive to recover windows. If your hard disk does not and you can't read your key, you will probably need to order from your manufacturer OEM recovery disks. (no key needed, because the OEM SLP key is embedded).

Try a bright light and a good magnifying glass to read your product key.

  • New XPS 8700 - no product key sticker?

    Hi all

I just got my new 8700 XPS of FedEx today. I was check your box to admire its design and learn where all the ports when... I noticed there is No sticker of the product key of Windows 8. It is also the Microsoft Certificate of authenticity (from what I've seen). In the past, each computer Dell with Windows 7 or more is shipped with a product label key desktop somewhere he had normally on top of the case and laptops he had under the battery, or just on the bottom of the laptop.

After you call Dell customer service, the representative informed me the product key is embedded in the motherboard. Dell no longer includes a sticker with the product key. I mentioned how it was weird because there is a square area above the service tag label that seems to be specifically for the product key sticker. Yet once, the representative assured me that, if I have to reinstall Windows, installation don't automatically assume the key to the motherboard. The representative was very nice and helpful, no issues here.

There are probably programs out there to recover the product key of Windows 8, so I can write it physically. For this reason, I'm sure I can get the key myself. My two questions are:

1.) can anyone else confirm if Dell is 100% not including stickers product key on their new computers?

2.) any person properly reinstalled Windows 8 with the help of the method of the 'motherboard product key?

    Thank you for your time,
    Ground Knightt

Is there a key on my laptop to immobilize the mouse in order to to fix a mobile mouse?

It depends on the laptop. Some laptops have a button somewhere or even have an option in the touchpad settings to automatically disable the touchpad when a USB mouse is connected. You will need to consult your manual for more information.

  • dissipated in the tag of the product key on the laptop, where I can find what it is

product key for my laptop disappeared from the tag, how do I know what it is?

    Hello

As you have lost the product key of the laptop, it's a preinstalled operating system and you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer.

They give you a different product key.

What you can do now is ask them to send you a set of recovery disc for the computer model reinstall the operating system to how it was when new.

Also while you are in contact with them, if you never receviced a reinstall to purchase drive, ask them how to make the recovery discs to do the same thing, if you still have access to the recovery partition.

Also ask them how to use specific keys to reinstall.

None of these methods of resettlement requires normally allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.
