HP 2000 t - d-2 00: support for Wifi updates

My goal for the upgrade of the card wifi on my laptop is to get bluetooth support and possibly get a bit more performance.  I think about adding an antenna external wifi also.  I am running the Ralink RT5390R.  My questions are, is there a list (white list) of only certain cards, I can choose, and what the card would be the best choice for my situation.  Any help and advice is appreciated.

Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bgn adapter Wi - Fi 709848-001

These are the cards that you can install. See p. 48 to find out how. First check if you have 2 antenna leads. If this isn't the case, it is very difficult to add one and a single antenna will hurt a little performance. Avoid Ralink and Realtek cards.  Of those, above, I'd get an Atheros card.

  • Update for windows update does not work

Yesterday (24/06/2014), Microsoft has released an update for windows update, which according to them was necessary in order to receive new updates. It is installed without any problem, except that it doesn't work.

I tried the fixit tool, but who finds no errors. To make things worse, it seems that this update of windows installed another version of the update agent is suitable for my system (Windows 7 Home Premium). Windows support for this update site indicates that the correct version is Windows update agent 7.6.7600.256, but windows update version 7.6.7600.320 and you can see the result of the image as to what happens when I try to check the updates.

I prefer not to do a system restore, but how to fix this?

Is this the same issue corrected / posted by LoginBroken on February 23, 2011?

    Dave in pa,

    Do a system restore point.

Open Notepad. Copy the information between the lines, then paste them into Notepad

  • MS Windows 2000 supports for synchronization of password IDM connector

    Hi all

We have a domain controller running the MS Win 2000 and there is no way we can update now.

I checked the PWD Sync connector Doc and he says that he accepts only MS Win 2003 and MS Win 2008.

Installing the listener on this domain controller. Is there an alternative or do you think it will work even if it is not supported?

    Thank you
    M

Not sure that MS is going to hit you with a $ 10,000 by domain controller maintenance fee if you stay on 2000 AD after July 2010?

I've seen IDM password synchronization running AD 2000, but that was in the old versions of connector and the IOM. Should work, but may have problems.

    Best regards

  • Support for Windows 10 in Qosmio X 70 - has

    Hello

I have a X 70-a, and according to the plan of Toshiba support, full support for Windows 10 only will be available January 31, 2016 ('coz that's what you get when you pay 1500-2000 euros for a cell phone, right?)

Any who tried to win 10 on a similar laptop? Personally, I don't see what is the hold up and do not understand why they need half a year to offer support because most of the drivers Windows 8.1 should be available (assuming that they were well written in the first place).

"That's what I get for a laptop of 1,500 euros" is exactly what I had in mind when searching for this Web site in order to get my windows 10 drivers only to find out that I am not on the priority of Toshiba.

Keep the windows 10 update has an option to restore your old windows for a month (available in recovery at startup menu), I took the plunge by installing Windows on my 770 - 13F X 10.

Here are the problems I encountered (I guess I'll find out later):

-Windows installed a bad driver for the wifi adapter (Qualcomm Atheros) that makes the BSOD on startup. I manually installed a Windows 8.1 driver found on a non official (atheros.cz) in safe mode, with a second PC and a USB key.
Win 10 then start over, but I can not activate wifi, both front panel and fn + F8 key for wifi doesn't seem to work. If anyone has a solution or just a hint...

-The main Win 10 Search bar doesn't seem to be functional. It's weird and annoying.

  • What exactly will happen to the wizard of Frontpage 2000 database during the XP support runs out?

I have been using the wizard of Frontpage 2000 database to develop a main set of forms that link in my database access 2000 on the side (non-public) back to my site. I realize that the two programs are considered as obsolete, but unfortunately, I can't find a replacement web development software which is what makes the wizard, unless I want to get heavily into the code (kind of like go back).

I have windows 7 pro and use virtual xp to run frontpage 2000 for my Web site and data-based forms.

What happens exactly when the XP support runs out? Y at - it a purchase option to continue with the updates, where I am, as it estimated 15 to 30% of the existing Microsoft customers who are always based on the use of XP will be "punished" to explain their desire to stay with a product that has succeeded all too well? (at least for me as far as where this feature goes)

After April 8, 2014, technical support for Windows XP will not be available, including the automatic updates that help protect your PC. Stop using XP in April 2014.

Although I know that some companies still using Windows 2000, so...

You're not real specific-, but the basic answer to your question is to find a list of the updates through the catalogue and download/save to some media.  Integrate as much as possible in support of installation that you plan to use after the date of 'dead' of the then 13 year operating system and several.

Drivers are not the responsibility of Microsoft unless it happens to be Microsoft hardware.  Go through the manufacturer (and it is possble the manufacturer will be * no * drivers for older operating systems supply - like XP.)

  • MY DELL LATITUDE D610 HOW CAN I UPGRADE TO THE NEW VERSION OF WINDOWS? NOW IT IS WINDOWS 7, WHAT VERSION IS SUPPORT FOR USE WELL ON MY DEVICE?

MY DELL LATITUDE D610 HOW CAN I UPGRADE TO THE NEW VERSION OF WINDOWS? NOW IT IS WINDOWS 7, WHAT VERSION IS SUPPORT FOR USE WELL ON MY DEVICE? PLEASE HELP ME

Read this: upgrade Windows 10 Dell Latitude D610

Take a look at my answer, complete instructions.

Basically speaking, Dell officially supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP on Dell Latitude D610 (and other models of Dx10).

However it can really run Windows Vista and 7 at least, as long as you max out the RAM (2 GB, 2 x 1 GB, can be purchased at a great price in eBay) and install the drivers, in particular graphics drivers, look in Device Manager and see what drivers are needed manually.

If you're lucky to have a D610 with ATi graphics card then you can even run Windows 8 and 10 with all drivers available, and I can tell you that it won't be slow dog not unlike a lot of people say, I don't have something similar (a HP Compaq nx8220) in common use. Keep as lean as possible (not bloatwares, anti-virus etc.) system, and it will serve you well.

  • No support for npapi plugin?

Hi, we use software that is based on JAVA for our clients to access our services. As I read in some news, support for NPAPI plugins will end in the 64-bit version of firefox 41 (so java no longer be supported). This is only version 64-bit windows or Linux and Mac also being targeted? We need this information so that we can tell our customers that we always support the browsers.
    Thanks in advance

Only the start of Firefox Win64 41,0 + version will have only whitelisted Flash Player 64-bit for now.

64 bit versions of Mac OSX and Linux may continue to use other plugins compatible 64-bit in addition to Flash Player.

That the Firefox 42.0 is the current target for Win64 version as was 41.0 previously. The Fx Win64 41.0 b # is based on the beta channel will be affected by the white list.

  • Where can I find detailed, systematic support for the advanced Thunderbird related topics?

In moving from XP to Windows 7, I opted for Thunderbird as a mail client in order to circumvent hyper intrusive Windows Live Mail to Microsoft (I used Outlook Express for years).

I have a very complicated E-mail structure, and it took me weeks (seriously) to learn how to reproduce it in TBird. Now, I try to customize TBird more, but none of the TBird articles/forum Q & A / searches on Google to ask my questions.

There is no support direct tech TBird, and I'm almost ready to leave for good. However - a last effort: where can I find detailed, systematic support for the advanced Thunderbird related topics?

    Thank you.
