  When a media type other than plain paper is selected, a combination of the color inks will be used to print the image/text on the media; There is not a way to print using only black ink in the printer.

  You should check with the printer manufacturers support site, but many printers will print at all if no have all the ink cartridges.

  Windows cannot override the printer design in this area.

  a restart should not be necessary. Just change the subnet using c# client, the Web Client or the DCUI mask. It is possible to use a PowerCLI script to make the change. It goes the same for the VCSA. I don't think that a reboot is necessary.

  Click Settings / preferences / properties to access the preferences screen.

  Click the Advanced button.

  Set printing in grayscale or black ink only.

  Don't forget that as a color device, although the ink will not be used when printing it still will use for the tasks of maintnance device cleaning, alignment, preparation of the printer, etc..

• E2500 router communicates only with HP printer cable.

  I have a HP color LaserJet 2605dn printer and router e2500. I decided to run an Ethernet cable from the router to the printer instead of via the USB port of the laptop that works fine for a couple of years.

  Is the green light on the router would be flashing quick or light yellow on the printer. Guess there is a communication problem. After some reading material at random on Web sites and messages, I manually changed the IP address of the printer: 192.168.1.110 (that is outside the range of the DHCP users (6) quantity, which starts at 192.168.1.100)

  Leave the configuration window Panel > devices Printers & I added a new "Standard TCP/IP Port" to match the one I put manually (192.168.1.110).

  I varied results when I ping this new IP address while that the yellow light on the Ethernet port on the printer flashes quickly. Sometimes I will have 4 packets that have been sent in the ping also received, sometimes none are received, sometimes 1 and sometimes 2 packets are received. For example, ping results are contradictory and I don't know why that should be.

  I guess that none of my configurations 'Basic Wireless Settings' and "Wireless Security" have an impact here.   Using the printer management page, make sure you on the JetDirect Automatic for networking information. If your automatic support of networking, it must acquire an IP address from the router if the LAN cable is in good working condition. Make a print on the printer configuration page to see what IP address it acquired from the router.

  If you decide you want to put a static IP address on the printer, make sure you on the JetDirect information
  Manual and instead use 192.168.1.110 tends in the poole DHCP address, try using 192.168.1.26. You will need configure the printer driver in windows accordingly to point to the IP address.

• C4480: Printing labels color leads to double image, levels of grayscale print normally

  I have a C4480 which generally prints normally.

  However, when I print a pdf file that I created for some labels, it prints a miniature double image on all labels on the left side (except the top one). The pdf file is displayed correctly on the screen and I got another print the PDF on a different printer and it works beautifully.

  I tried changing various settings and the only thing that gets him to print normally is by selecting the grayscale option.

• Problem with doc in grayscale, print of pink and yellow hues

  I made a document that is mostly black and white in RGB mode.

  We have sent this to a printer and prints were either coming out with light pink or yellow highlights.

  The printer says they must have CMYK docs.  Recorded docs under Mode: CMYK.  Still having the same problem.

  I have even isolated the gray (black/whte) copied layers, put them in a new doc, set mode as grayscale, and... same problem.

  I've tried everything now.  Even the printer isn't sure what's happening.  The gray looks of doc to PS, but print with pink or yellow tints.

  He said that when I place the pipette over them the CMYK color is 100% K without C, M or Y.  I can't seem to get this to happen.

  Any ideas would be very appreciated.

  N ° if you worked on your original, do not close and try to go back in history. I hope you saved before you start to try to convert this file. in this case, go to your registered version. If you have trashed your original, you may need to do a lot.

  To return to your original CMYK or RGB. Now go to image > duplicate (while you are working on a copy). Flatten the duplicate image (layer > flatten image, if it is available). Then go to image > mode > lab. Now, the culmination (not only visible, highlight) the lightness channel and go to image > mode > grayscale. It should ask you if you want to ignore the other channels. If it is not the case, undo and try again to highlight the lightness channel. Then click on edit > convert to profile and CMYK custom, choose the destination profile menu drop-down. At the bottom of the custom CMYK dialogue is black generation. Choose maximum and click ok.
