HP 3050 has - J611a > > head scanner stop scanning continues.

Hello

The printer is new and has been installed correctly by following the instructions from HP, and all functions work correctly, printing and scanning on WI - FI, high quality printing and scanning quality.

It is used on an i3 with 4 GB of ram and Windows 7.

My concern is the scan head. His movement is continuous from one end to the other, but when I set the DPI 100 dpi more than 200, then the head like this:

-It moves about 4 cm, then stopes (the pilot light also arrested), back about 1 cm, and then he took over the movement. This pattern is repeated some time until it reaches the end. The quality of scanned file is not affected.

-Also when the printer powers on the movements of head scanning back or front ~ 5 - 6 times over a distance of 1 cm, then stops.

All ideas, this is a normal behavior? My other HP F380 AIO and other scanners made scanning in a past, without interruption, regardless of the DPI.

Hello

It's sounds like normal behouviour,

The movement at the start is an alignment, the scanner lights looking for a white band that is inside the scannerglas (out of our sight) to ensure that it is in its original position.

The movenment recurring when higher dpi scan is normal as well, the scanner will scan the document more than once to ensure best results. The F380 had another technology works so different.

    Hi hawka2610,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  I understand that you want to know how to print from iMac to your Deskjet 3050 printer.

I have included installing the document printing software for a wireless network connection . It has a section devoted to the different operating systems.  Click on the version of Mac OS X you are using.  It will guide you through the download and installation of the printer software and connect to the printer.

    Hi @Valerie35,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are running into some problems of printing and scanning to your HP Deskjet 3050 has, when you try to scan, you get an error message 'not found computer '.

  • DeskJet 3050 has: Scan Options window

    Hello

I have the DeskJet 3050 a printer and when I scan something it automatically scans in JPEG format. As I want to change my scans, I downloaded and installed the OCR software (I followed the instructions posted on the support forum HP, installation of the software for the HP Pro 8500 printer A910n JO). After you install this software, however, I can't find a scan window that allows me to choose the format for the scan options I'm about to do -: in other words, I don't have a window which now allows me to choose the RTF rather than JPEG. Do you know where I can find it?

(the instructions given on the Support forum for this step are: 4) now open the HP Deskjet 3050 scan window. Select "Scan" everyday and in the dropdown for "Type", select "Rich TEXT" or «indexable PDF»

(My problem is that I can't find the window of scanning HP DeskJet 3050 - and constantly scans automatically to JPEG format)

    Thank you

First of all, you must have the drivers and software HP Deskjet full functionality installed.  The scanning software provided with the HP Deskjet 3050 does NOT include OCR capabilities.  However, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910n printer come with OCR capabilities.  Thus, the installation of the software and driver for the OfficeJet included installing the OCR package that can be used by the HP Deskjet 3050 HP scanning software and the product HP OfficeJet.

The HP scanning software are accessible in several ways:

    • #1 method - the Windows 7 Desktop: start-> all programs-> HP-> HP Deskjet 3050...-> HP Scan
    • #2 method - the Windows 7 Desktop: start-> all programs-> HP-> HP Deskjet 3050...-> HP Deskjet 3050...
    • Method #3 - Windws 7 Office: find HP Deskjet 3050 desktop icon; If it is present, run (double-click on).

Method #2 and #3 will launch the Desktop Client software. Under the analysis section, choose 'Analyze a photo document' to launch the HP scanning software.

    • Method #4: Navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \HP\HP Deskjet 3050\bin; Run Scan.exe HP (double click).  (Note: the C: drive is the default installation drive, change accordingly if you have installed the software on a drive by default.)

In the HP scanning software, you should see a number of shortcuts named Scan on the left panel of the dialog box.  Select the Scan shortcut named 'Scan' every day and change type of file to RTF settings in the right pane of the dialog box.  You can also create your own Scan shortcuts and configure the settings for scanning for this Scan shortcut to your liking, including the file type.

Click on 'accept as Solution' if it has solved your problem, while others may find it.

  • 1355cn stopped scanning

My cn 1355 is on my home network.  I have fine print, and have swept between her on the network to an application.  The other day it stopped scanning.  Nuance PaperPort (shipped with the printer) say now when running configuration Analyzer Wizard "no software not detected.  The scanner power is off, the cable is not correctly connected, or address IP settings are correctly entered. "I am running Windows 7.  By checking the printer selection dialog, it indicates that the printer has a valid address is in energy saving mode and has a green check mark.  I can always print it.  ???

Since the announcement, I saw another thread on the same topic. The printer is supplied with software PaperPort 12 and then the selection "analyze" the software reports "Scanner not found". There is a button on the bottom of the dialog box in PaperPort with 'Port '. I selected that, no changes, just accept the settings and then tried to scan again - and that market as before!

Hello @Williams2and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have any questions about your ability to scan.  I would like to help!

You are connected via a USB cable or a wireless connection?

After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

  • Cannot print to HP 3050 has

Hi, my HP 3050 has stopped printing. I can send a file to print and the screen - to say that the printer "now printing" but nothing happens. Even if I try to copy, it will analyze then screen says "copy...". "but even once, nothing happens. I get no error message. Paper is properly loaded, and ink cartridges are filled.

    Hi Waterboy71,

    Thanks for your reply.

I sent a job to print and noted in the status of the printer it says tricolor cartridge is incompatible or exhausted. This one is a HP one and I didn't think it was so old. I now have it replaced with a new cartridge and it's new to print.

    I use OS x 10.6.8 incidentally.

    Anyway thanks for your help.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 stopped scanning

I have my 8600 Officejet Pro connected to my computer and use Windows 7. When I got the all-in-one, he scanned beautifully. Then one day he just stop scanning. I get an error when I try to scan which said"The HP 8600 Pro Ofifcejet not found. »

I ran the HP Print & Scan Doctor half a dozen times and to halfway through, I still get the error message "The HP Officejet Pro 8600 was not found."

On the HP Print & Scan doctor, when she leaves, I get a screen that verifies offshore:

    -Device Manager

    -Pilot Check

    -Device status

    -Windows (WIA) Scan

And then I have a yellow triangle with an explaination in next to "HP Twain scanning" brand

He has a box that says: "Please save your work and close all applications. Unplug it from your printer by pulling on the power cord from the printer. Plug it back, turn it back on, and then click "Restart the computer." Once the computer is restarted, run this utility again. "What I've done several times - it doesn't change ANYTHING. Still, I get "The HP Officejet Pro 8600 is not found" error box again...

I would add also, I was able to print without missing a beat and I use a USB cable to connect the MFC to my PC as our wireless here at the office isn't bad.
