  Each laptop comes with preinstalled operating system must have installed all the drivers for all hardware components. Did you found a problem in the Device Manager or what?

  HDMI problem: according to TV specification, it must have two HDMI ports. Please make sure that you have enabled the right port on your TV.

  One last thing: don't forget to create a recovery media using preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool. Mage recovery relief is very important if something goes wrong with preinstalled OS or HARD drive.

  This device is the fax modem. It is a rather antiquated device.  Do you really use it?

  I would like to uninstall the device and ignore the error message.

  This device is not the reason why you are unable to connect to the internet.  I suggest you find a PCI or PCI Express x 1 card network card and install it in one of the available locations.  I can't make suggestions on personal credit cards because you have not specified what operating system is installed. I'm fairly certain this isn't Windows 8. Your venerable PC is a bit too far back in the Windows 8 compatible PC platforms.  It's impressive that it continues to work after all these years.

  If you have installed Windows 7, then the simplest solution, especially if you have access to a router wireless, would be to install a dongle usb wireless for internet access.

  HP has some major problems with the support pages they know but are moving at a snail pace to fix.

  In fact, a snail is faster, because from what I've observed, they have done nothing to solve the problem up to now, after more than a month.

  I found a few references to care packs, but none that really meet this model and the OS which is Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit Edition.

  If you select the download button, it seems that here, the connection cannot connect to the FTP as happens with errors of popup like 425 can't open data connection.

  So two things has driver and is there a http download?

  Had to download off site due to firewall blocks FTP. But as an alternative would download flow anyway.

  I had to restore a HP Compaq dx2300 format microtour Win XP system from the recovery partition.

  Everything seemed to work fine except no driver found for PCI Simple communication controller.

  There was no modem in Device Manager.

  I downloaded the driver for the modem on the HP website, but it will not identify / install the driver.

  Remains of the error. (no driver found for PCI Simple communication controller.)

  Your label says HP Expert 2014. I made a mistaken assumption that you were part of HP.

  I agree that it probably isn't a standard part of HP. I also looked at their specs and the database driver.
  I tried to use never version on the HP web site for their standard model for Agere 56 K PCI Modem driver. He did not consider it as one appropriate driver.

  However, I could only identify a compatible driver using a new pilot identifier utility (new to me at least).

  It seems to work.

  I think I'll keep it in my toolbox in the future.
