HP 350 G1 Notebook PC - power supply

Hello

Can I use my computer power portable 220 volts?

Hello

When it says input 110V-240V 50-60 Hz, that means that you can connect to the wall with the tension around this beach. The charger will do the rest. FYI: My daughter who visited no less than 50 countries around the world since almost 6 years with two portable computers HP (first one in 3 years) then the other. Just what she needed: a universal adpater that I bought for her in a tourist shop (similar to those below):

Kind regards.

    Hello

Open your PC and measure the distance between the optical drive and power.  The power supply you want to install is by 3.4 by 6.3 5.9 and standard HP POWER supply is by 3.4 by 5.5 5.9 (inches). It might been very tight.

Corsair HX650 is 5.9 by 3.4 by 5.9 and modular.  You will find may be easier to install.

TIP: Remove the front panel and the side as the optical drives to the front so you give a little more space for help with the installation of the power supply.

  • Power supply selection guide

This MOD can make a post-IT.

Here is a general guide on how to select a power supply for your HP desktop computer.  The majority of the standard ATX power supply (PSU) must fit in an envelope of HP.  The exception would be a slim casing or the esoteric Merle.

Looking for a certification 80 + on the PSU to save electricity.  A PC is normally idle or operate at low load 75% of the time.  Therefore, to find a power supply which is more effective in the range 50 - 90W.  A power supply 80 + 350W reaches the level of efficiency of 80% at the exit of 70W (20% of rated output).  The output must be greater than 140W to achieve the same level of efficiency of a PSU of 700W 80 + equivalent.  So choose a power supply that is rated at 25% more than the maximum load of the ACTUAL spending of the rig you will save more of $ on electricity.

A modern PSU is designed to achieve maximum efficiency between 20 and 80% of the nominal power.  Running a power supply above 80% charge level will result in excessive heat, noise and premature failure.

A platform Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 (1024 MB of RAM) will rely on 350W max to the wall.  Taking into account the effectiveness of a block of power SUPPLY 80 +, the actual load on the power supply is only 280W (350 x 0.80).  To calculate the required power supply, multiply the actual load by 1.25 (25% margin).  In this case we only need a PSU 350W (280 x 1.25) to run this GPU.

Let's apply what we know of a rigging of Radeon HD 4870 (512 MB RAM).  290W max to the wall.  Actual load is 290W x 0.80 or 230W.  Now, apply the 25% margin rule and we come to a requirement of 290W PSU (230W x 1.25).  Even if we apply a safety margin of 50%, the power required is always under 350W (230W x 1.50).

There are no overspec need the power supply by 50%, unless you run your PC up 24/7.  Don't forget that there is a huge variation in the quality of the PSU and side.  Maybe a good 500W PSU is not able to provide as much energy as a quality 350W.  Antec Earthwatts/NeoPower/TruePower and Corsair Seasonic are widely available at several American retailers of quality units.

High-end power supplies number will need additional power supply PSU in the form of one or two 6/8 pin plug GPU.  You can buy an adapter to convert a molex 4pin to plug 6-pin power of GPUS.

    Hi Nautsj,

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet. Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. technical characteristics
    2. the total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
4 modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. guarantee
    6 i7 and SLI ready
    7. energy efficiency
    8 cost
    9. size - standard ATX PSU is 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "give or take a few tenths
    10. a single + 12 volt rail is a better choice.

www.Newegg.com has many choices of power supplies. Corsair, OCZ, Rosewill, Thermaltake...

The typical EVGA GTX 570 in 9 "long.  The adjacent slot on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant.  Open your PC and do some measures so that you know for sure if the card fits.  According to me, it will fit.

For what is a PSU, Corsair CX600has very little growth, but the Corsair HX650gives you plenty of space to grow.

I use the HX650 in two PC.  It is a modular model in order to have better options with the selection of cable.

"How-to" HP articles should be useful.

TIP: When installing the power supply, unlock the scanner and slide it forward to facilitate the removal and installation of the new power supply.

I bought the new laptop Satellite P100. Suddenly it does not start (no power to notebook) and the same time, I have only checked by the only power a/c no result, also do not charge the battery. I put t know what is the reason. Can someone give suggestion?
    Thank you bye.

If the power light is blinking there is probably a problem with the electronic power supply. In this case, the laptop sends flashes code. Read this code, technicians can identify the problem.
Please, don't waste your time but the closest service provider contact allowed in your country.

  • power supply

My HP P6203w has a 250 watt power supply, it can switch to a diet of 300 or 350 watts?

Yes, it can take any standard ATX power supply unit (PSU).  I normally recommend at least 500W; especially if you want to eventually upgrade to a dedicated video card.  You can measure the existing PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  I love Corsair products.  A modular power supply will work fine in a medium-sized business.  You don't have to use cables that are not needed.

  • Equium A200-1VO - what could be done to improve the situation of power supply?

I recently bought an Equium A200 1VO as one second laptop - my other (an Aspire) is excellent, but a bit heavy in the basket to autour. Anyway, it seemed fabulous value and has worked very well so far - but I just discovered a catch today, the low battery life. I understand that this gap is shared with most of the other laptops of a comparable weight.

In any case, I wonder what could possibly be done about (I often use my laptop while on the move, in locations without power outlet available, and less than 1 hour of power is very restrictive (I know powersave and others)-especially compared to my other laptop which is about 3 hours on battery)?

Is there a portable power charger (the type with which you can load to the top of their rechargeable batteries on the sector, then take them and be able to charge mobile phones, iPods, etc. several times without needing an external power supply), as the Proporta one, who could charge a laptop as well (well, this laptop)? And how about the 9 cell Li-ion battery that sell Toshiba (or for that matter, one 6 cells)?

How long will pretty much those give me? Are there other types of batteries that can be purchased for an extra life?

Any suggestions on how I could get more autonomy would be most appreciated.

    Hi guys

    > what could be done to improve the situation of power supply
You could buy a stronger battery which delivers more power for a long time
You should take a look at the value of mA; more better ;)

Also please don t forget that the Vista operating system needs more power as an early OS like XP.
Vista needs more power because it wastes more computing resources.
I read that a same notebook would run 2 times longer on battery with preinstalled W2K or XP.

  • How to change the power supply to the CD/DVD drive so that it is disabled by default?

When running on battery I often use the icon 'Remove hardware safely' XP to 'unplug' the carpet * CD/DVD drive for Safe some battery life. (Does?) I use Fn + Tab to bring back to life. I wonder if there is a way to make my boot Notebook (M400) with the power supply to the reader off by default. Moreover, any idea where I can find the extra battery for the slot of the CD/DVD player and who the price?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello, Robert

If you see the start page, you will see that this support forum is not a type of support Toshiba directly but forum users. But you're not alone and many users expect that a Toshiba support team sit in the office and before writing the answers.

In any case, there are many users of Toshiba laptops with very good knowledge and also amateurs who are trying to help the other guys in different problems and also to share own experience.

Professionalism is not the forum but action when you need help because of physical damage or something similar. If you need assistance and competent answers each authorized partner must be able to provide the info you need. But please don t mixture and Toshiba service partner because it is not the same.

In any case, I found the info you can use additional (second battery expansion) and it takes batteries with PA3510U-1BAL, PA3510U-1BRL room numbers. I can't tell you how much it costs, but you will find only using Google.

Back to your first question: if I understand you just want to save more power and because of this, you want to sign out ODD. It's a nice idea, but you have clearly misunderstood something. "Safely Remove Hardware option is there to help the operating system and and say this material, a part will be removed and don t exist anymore, but it does not physically the disconnection of any other material."

If you need more power use a second battery and enjoy your life.

If you have any other questions you are welcome. A lot of users here M400 and I hope in the future that some of them will participate in a little more.

    Good day! :)

  • Upgrading power supply

I recently bought a new video card and when I installed it, I got nothing but a screen empty. I was told that I may need to upgrade from my diet. I have a Compaq presario 6000 model 6ZPXE2 and it has a 220 watt power supply inside. I don't know what my card needs power is a NVida GForce 512 MB AGP and I was wondering if I can upgrade and what information and precautions I need to know. Is it possible to upgrade up to 300. 350 or 400 watts?

Hello spunnie, I checked the specifications of your video Nvidia GeFrorce 512 MB AGP 6600GT card.

It shows that it takes a 300W power supply minimum system for this video card.

This lack of power supply of power can indeed be the reason that the system shows no video, but it could also be that the card itself could be faulty. I bought many items off of eBay that have delivered to me and prove to be defective.

To be honest, I also received many items in good condition as shown.

I would say at least a power of 400 watts, many being somewhat underated power supplys.

You can search for a power supply with the 400 watt or capacity so that physically gets in your case.

You may need to cut the existing power, at least enough to get some measures in this regard, without disconnecting the cables if you can.

With all these devices installed on your system, now I'm really surprised, that it would not even start with the current power of 220 watts. You are just as, or even above the maximum of the existing 220 watt PSU.

    I hope this helps.

  • Upgrading power SUPPLY Compaq Presario SR1403WM block

I know this is an old computer and everything, but I'm always wanting to do some updates for her because I'm not getting rid of it for a while.

So I was wondering what would be a compatible power supply for this computer. I'm looking for at least a 350 watts so that I could run easily 3 hard drives, a dvd burner and a Radeon X 1300 XT.

If you know if this card will work with the 250 that is in this computer with my other updates please tell so I don't have to worry about this.

Since the computers original specifications I already changed to 3 320 WD HDD, 2 GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon 9550, while also removing the modem 56 k the 9 in 1 card reader and the original hard drive, CD burner and stick of RAM.

The 9550 is just a little weak for me and the x 1300 will be able to hit the sweet spot. That is why I wonder about upgrading the PSU or the card will work with the current.

Anyway thanks for the help in advance.

Ok. Good ATX PSU brand will do. (Corsair / OCZ / Fortron / shut up!) Your motherboard uses an ATX PSU specification. With what you already have in your system, you should get a decent at least 450 Watts and ATX12V 2.2 EPS12V, modular, 80 more specs. Care like these will allow you to use it in a motherboard upgrade when you are ready

I understand that if you remove your battery, you can't boot up your laptop.  This is not unusual. some laptops are set up in this way.

I understand that when you have the phone connected and charge the batteries of your performance is lowered.  There is more than one draw powere when it loads to the battery.

Here is a link to the laptops HP - test and calibrate the battery (Windows 7) to ensure that there is no problem with the battery.

Could also remove the battery once you put under tension.

You asked questions on the use of a 90-Watt adapter.  Here is a link to HP G4 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide.  Chapter 3 page 32 lists not one that is recommended.

  • 18.5V and 19.5V power supply compatibility, nc4200

    Hello

I have a notebook nc4200 who needs a new power supply.  I chatted with a HP consultant and he said I could use one of the new 90W slim smart adapters for it, but who has 19.5V output (whereas the original adapter 65W 18.5V).  Smart «Say» network adapters they are retro-compatible with all professional laptops from HP.  How is it important to make coincide the tensions?  The laptop can compensate for differences of +-1 volt?  Thank you!

    Hello

For voltage, + or - 5%-7% is ok, for power 90W is much better than 65W. Should be allowed to use the new charger.

    Kind regards.

  • loose connection to the power supply

I have a HP Pavilion e043cl 15 Notebook PC with name of the model E5K58UA I bought August 2013.  My best friend bought the same brand/model from the same place 2 weeks before me.  We BOTH have had this same problem almost from the beginning.  Speaking for mine... it became worst Crescent until I don't know if it will load OR start the next time I try to turn it on.  I have "glued it" the only way he will now.  It changes almost every day, so I have to move it and the re - paste.  We feel that it was a problem of hardware design for almost that we bought them.  Unfortunately, none of us buy the extended warranty.  It was mainly in the part that we bought at Costco with my Costco AmEx that allow you to add an extra year warranty and apparently are not now. I have done some research and think that it is the connection to the computer.  Can anyone confirm that, and if so, where would you recommend that I buy a replacement?  I don't want to spend a ton of money given these were $399 new.  I am sure that I am able to fix as well.  I also wanted it to go on the record it seems be a VERY common problem which should NOT happen on a laptop this quickly.  None of us carry these computers around with us on a daily or even weekly.  It seems quite ridiculous to deal with this problem already.  I got a DELL computer for 7 years.  I had to replace the entire power cord, but the connection port was never a problem.  This seems put together much cheaper.  I feel HP should replace the port free of charge, just don't expect that this will happen.  A consultant where I can get the spare part required at a reasonable price would be greatly appreciated.  I have confidence in particular a HP original spare part because those original seems not be made good in the first place.  Thank you very much!

There is no parts but HP parts. The power supply is on a dongle that plugs into the motherboard. They don't directly solder it on the map more.

Is it possible that the problem is solved when the power supply cools at an ideal temperature or you hear a beep that it will be necessary to get a new charger?

    Thanks for your replies!

The temperature is unlikely to be the cause of the problem.

The power adapter (sometimes called power brick) is designed to operate in a wide range of voltages (from 100-120 Volts AC) or 220 - 240 Volts AC) the only thing that differs is the type of power connector used to connect the power adapter to a wall outlet of the home or office.

Remove the converter and use the correct power cord or travel adapter Nicaraugua. Your adapter will not explode or be damaged. Converter is likely to be the issue.

You need a North American power cord to the adapter. You should be able to buy one on site or just go into a travel store and buy a travel adapter set. That's what I have for when I travel to the United States for business or travel.  I bought my Brookstone set for about $30.00 USD.
