HP 40gs

I have a 8.1 Windows OS and it is not able to read the HP40gs. is there some USB drivers that can help solve this problem?

Hello Schienmeister,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I couldn't find any documentation that would support the HP Calculator 40gs being able to connect to a computer running 8.1.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • HP 40GS stuck on the hourglass for the calculation of certain integrals

So I used my calculator HP40GS for awhile, and I've never had problems with it.

Recently, when reviewing for the examination of calculation AP, I noticed that the calculator could not do some integrals. Because I already went through the lesson using the graphing calculator calculators and integrals without problem using my computer, I don't think that there is nothing special about this one.

    One of the integrals in question is 3 * e ^(-x/2) * sin (2 x) on the interval [0,2].

I tried to make the home screen capture (in the mode of operation):

    ∫ (0,2,ABS (3rd ^(-x/2) * sin (2 x)), x)

The calculator has been blocked at least five minutes on the same screen with the little hourglass until I pressed on 'on' to force her to leave.

Also, I tried to do this in CASE mode, using the manual view. This also does not work.

Other calculators in the classroom (TI-83) did the integral almost immediately.

My memory is not yet close to being complete.

Is there something I could do or check to solve the problem? Other integrals seem to be more or less fine.

    Thank you!

When you do digital integrals, some of them may take some time. On the 40gs and many other units of HP, the accuracy of the correction is what distinguishes the accuracy of assessment. Try to set the precision of DIFFICULTY 4 in the homescreen of modes and re-evaluate. I suspect that he will return very quickly. That should mean "exact to 4 decimal places.

You can also try to do exactly in the CASE and then to assess the result. In many cases, it may be faster.

  • HP 40GS systems of linear equation with parameters

    Hello

I'm in the learning curve of the HP 40GS - a very interesting tool.

Is it possible to solve systems of equations with parameters, for example:

    A * X + Y = 2 * 12

    5 * X - 3 * A * Y = 5

HP 50 g, this isn't a big deal, but with HP 40GS I don't have an idea so far.

If this is not possible, it will be possible if I have a third equation (so 3 equations in 3 unknowns)?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Joachim

P.S.: So far, I feel very comfortable with the HP 40GS and menus!

    ----------------------------------------
I am not a member of the HP Calculator development team - unfortunately!

    Hello

now, I found a way to calculate the systems of equations with symbolic coefficients:

See the document: http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00829737.pdf to page 346ff

With the command 'linsolve', it is possible to calculate with more unknown than equations.

I hope this helps anyone with the same or close problem.

Have fun with your calculators and do not hesitate to write other ways of calculations.

    Greetings,

    Joachim

  • Migration from 4900M to 40G?

    Hello guys,.

We have 4900M switches distribution with links 10 G connection to our switch base 6500.we seek to improve our links to 40 G. so this means that the switch will be replaced by a switch of nexus 7000 accommodating 40G... Question: Can I use a fiber cable in small groups of Nexus (40G link) to 4900M (4x10G) several links? see attached PIC

from 4900M does not support 40G connectivity.

What is the part number of the breakout cable?  QSFP-4X10G-AOC?

  • Possible LAG SG500X 40G

    Hello!

Is it possible to create a 40G to the S1 + S4 SHIFT swaps between two SG500X in standalone mode (without date)?

    Thank you

I have not the ability to test what I have not modules SFP however based on the information in the Administrator's guide, so that all the Ports of LAGS have the same media type this should be possible.

However, if you use 2 switches SG500X it may be a better idea just to stack them.  (Granted that in my opinion, you might get only a max of 20G between the switches then).

  • 40g of Cisco Nexus-FET

I'm trying to choose the right cable to connect to a Cisco Nexus 40 G - FET (on a Nexus 6004). I saw on Cisco's Web site that says the FET transceiver has 12 fibres inside. Yet, when he broke out to connect to four FETs of 10G on a FEX (2232TM-E), only 8 fibers would be used.

so... What type of connector DFO buy? A 12 FTU fiber or fiber 8 FTU? Are they interchangeable? I might as well use an 8 or a connector DFO 12 fiber on my fan-out cable?

Cisco uses 8 fiber lit even if standard DFO is of 12 fibers. Please refer to Figure 23 here.

As described further down in this document (figures 25 and 26) some (cited Corning) providers offer only fiber 8 DFO and which can be used for interconnection as well.

    Exit the Mail.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail.  Move the folder com.apple.mail on your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the content.

Reboot, re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, recreate the required e-mail settings and import emails you want to save to the folder on the desktop. You can then put the file in the trash. If the problem persists, return the folder where you have guessed replacing one that is there.

  • Portege R100 and new hard drive

I think to put in a larger capacity internal hard drive - 40G is now a little bit :(

Does anyone do this? The traps? Any suggestions on compatible drives?

    TIA

    Hello

As far as I know the old Portege R100 supported a HDD IDE controller.
So you will definitely need an IDE HDD. I think that it s a 1.8 IDE HDD.

I think the HDD IDE controller supports only the 28-bit LBA and it would mean that there would be larger than 120 GB hard drives not recognized.

That's why I choose smaller hard drives.

  • Equium A60-155 - HARD drive upgrade

I have an Equium A60-155 with 40G HARD drive.
The manual says that this model comes with up to 80G installed, but is it possible to upgrade to 120, or even 160G?

    Hello

If your laptop comes with a HDD of 80 GB then you ve got a good chance a 100 GB or 120 GB HARD drive would be supported.
I have no course with a size of 160GB HARD drive but I m m the 160 GB might be too afraid.

I recommend you use and test a 120 GB

    See you soon

  • Replacing the drive HARD on Portege M200

I have a Portege M200 with a 40G hard drive. I'm running out of space now.
Does anyone know the maximum disk compatible with this machine?

    I thought Seagate Momentus 320 g.
    Could someone advise me please?

    Hello

I read here in the forum about upgrade the HDD on Portege M200 and the guy has updated the 160 GB HARD drive.
So I guess you could improve the 320 GB HARD drive as well.

You need a 2.5 IDE HDD and it s any speed would support the HARD drive.

    See you soon

  • Satellite P10: Need for disk recovery after a HARD disk crash

I have a Toshiba p10 and the HD broke down. I've had this machine for 2 years, but I bought it 2nd hand, so I have no disks in the system.

Where can I get a system recovery disk and it is true that the recovery disc can work if I install the HD the same size? The current drive is 30g and I would like to install a disk 40g instead.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Hello

No, that's not true. You can use a different HARD and the recovery CD disk sizes has nothing to do with the HARD drive compatibility.
You should only be sure that the laptop and the BIOS will recognize the new HARD drive size, but I think that the 40 GB are supported on this laptop.

So if you put a new HARD drive in the laptop you have to boot from the CD drive.
To my knowledge the CD recovery and all devices supported and compatible, you can buy from the Toshiba service partner in your country.

I found the link on the Toshiba support page, so I recommend you to visit this site.

    Good luck

Having a problem of function with a new premium calculator, s/n [number of Series edited by Moderator].

    X to Y (X ^ Y) ensures actually Y to X power.

    Example: 2, entry, entry 6, X ^ Y, not return 64, 36 as it should.

Is there any fixes for this?

    Thank you

    Hello

    The function is:

"First argument" to the "second" power

where X is 'First argument' and there is 'second argument.

    You have entered 2 and 6, so 2 ^ 6 which is 64.

    That's how work calculators 28 c/28/48 / 48G / 49G / 50G.

There is no concept of X and recorded, as was the convention on battery level RPN calculators 4.

On the 28 28 c/s the power button was simply designated as ^, on the 48 series, it was changed to Y ^ X but probably only because of the legacy application.

the X ^ was used on some algebraic calculators (for example HP38g / 39g / 40g). The first is essentially an algebraic calculator (out now on line 38G / 40G) and mode RPN was probably introduced only for legacy demand (no RPN/RPL programming).

For more information see the next on comp.sys.hp48 thread:

    x ^ touch running y ^ x on HP emulator first prototype

  • Documents and data resuming inexplainable spaces of storage on 6s

Tonight I plugged my iPhone 6 s (64G, iOS 9.2.1) on my laptop Apple to sync as usual, but the bar of storage on the bottom in iTunes suddenly showed I had 40G of documents and data, which came from nowhere. My audio apps and other things only used to raise about 15G, so this added 40G of documents and data, he told me that my storage was almost full. I changed no settings at all, and when I go in storage in my iPhone, it shows that I used 54.5 G. But underneath, each app store does not add up to 54.5 G. It adds only up to the 15 previous G I.

    Please help; -

I also have this problem... I have a 128 GB iPhone 6s, running iOS 9.2.1 plugged into my computer today and all of a sudden I have 102 GB of "Documents and data"... very frustrating.
