  I understand that your 3520 Deskjet is no copy making more correctly however, you can print and scan without a problem. I will do my best to help! I might be far away but I suspect that there could be a problem with the printhead and it printing black ink. I say this because when you print from your computer, normally the ink colors mix to create a composite black, and when you print copies, it's only the black ink cartridge that is used.

  I want you to try a power reset and make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.

  Turn on the printer.
  With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
  Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  Wait at least 15 seconds.
  Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
  Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
  If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  I saw your post about your Envy 100 not pulling by glossy paper 250 gsm and wanted to answer you! I checked the specs for the Envy 100 and as you can see below, the printer should take in if you use a format supported below. Maybe you can try the steps from the link I posted for you. I think the cleaning rollers should help. You can also try to select different types of paper to see if one works better than the other.

  I know that probably the answer to this already, but here goes anyway. I have an old printer. HP all-in-One Photosmart C3100. He has just shot ten years old.   I have an Officejet 6310 all-in-one.  I have Windows Vista.  Yesterday, I replaced the black cartridge with HP98.  Now when I make copies or print a document, print the page gets more light and more light, about 1/3 to 1/2 through the page and very light down by a horizontal white line through the text.  I cleaned the cartridge with a damp cloth, I ran the command of cartridges clean but also align the cartridges.  I turned off the printer and unplugged and restarted again.  When I run a self-test page, especially the black line went up to 2/3 of the way, then it is empty at the top and gets darker, then the last 1/3 is fine.  The test pattern shows a few holes in the grid to black.

  I just checked the cushion under the black ink cartridge and it is saturated with ink.  I don't know that is where the problem originated.  I would be very grateful of any advice to solve this problem.

  Is it a HP cartridge or a charging/reman?  It seems to be a faulty cartridge.  If it is an original HP, then check the warranty of the cartridge as shown here.

  It is unlikely that the ink that you see in the field of the service station is the issue.  The ink that you see is the result of the normal maintenance routine that the printer uses to keep the printheads from clogging.  It is normal that there is ink in this area.

  I had Geek Squad go through everything on computer, looking for latest info on your site, etc.  Conclusion: Need new driver for the scanner compatible with El Capitan.

  Is a new driver in preparation?  I would like to know as soon as it is available, because I scan a lot of information every week.
