HP 5524: Change printhead HP5524

I am not able to print red graphics or text, it comes out yellow. I suspect that the part print head Megenta is blocked. I tried to use the CleanPrinthead of the printer option, but this does not seem to solve the problem. I saw that a new printhead can be purchased, but the messages say that the printhead on a printer of 5520 is not replaceable. Can you tell me if the print head is replaceable on 5524 printer and how do I go about this?

Those here Youtube videos try to clean.

On a DJ, customer 5000 (sold the plotter to him a week ago) has used a printhead light cyan #83 for a week. Now says he gets 'CHANGE printheads 2516' error (it may indicate more precisely "replace 2516", but not sure "). Before use, the print head has been sitting 2 years however not sealed with masking tape on the nozzles and only had 17 ml shot from there. I installed and was surprised to see that it seemed to work very well and has about 1 1/2 weeks. I noticed that it weighed about 2-3 grams less than the other print heads (about 35.2 gm while others weigh about 37, 5-38 + gm or two, but it seemed to work fine.) I have purged the tubes until I installed print heads. All others are new.

I am aware that the relocation and cleanup can possibly contact may be in order, but wonder if I am missing other opportunities that may be obvious to others.

    Thank you.

    Hello

If you clean the print head and still does not ink, you may have to replace it.

Other cases, I have seen defective cartridges or tubes providing no ink in the print head causes this problem. I hope this isn't the case.

  • change the printheads on officejet 8500

the carriage does not move to the left automatically change the printheads. Where is the OK 'button? Is it the OK that appears when you press the icon of ink on the screen?  If so, holding a 5 seconds contact screen with this OK does nothing.

    Hello

What is your exact printer model?

If it's the HP Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a), you should press and hold OK Phisical once we open the door of prithead.

For HP Officejet 8500 Wireless or Premium (A909g/A909n) you need to press and hold the * button for 5 seconds.

Once the door is open, take a look at the screen, it should tell you what exact button to press.

  • error printhead after changing the printhead in L7680

I have an OfficeJet Pro L7680 that is a few years old.  Recently, I have noticed a decline in the print quality for mainly black, but also a little yellow, and after changing the black cartridge with no changes, I decided to change the Black/Yellow Printhead.  So, I thought that if I'm trying to change a print head, I should change the other (cyan/magenta).  I bought new Office Depot print heads.  After replacing the print heads that I was able to print a page or two, and then all of a sudden the printer started saying there is a problem with the cyan/magenta printhead.  I tried to remove and reinstall, the suppression and power reset and then put it back up, etc, but nothing moves it.  I have not yet called HP, but I hope that when I do they will help because the print heads are under warranty until 2014, even if the printer is out of warranty.  In the meantime, I thought I would ask here is - it possible I only have a print head of DOA?  Or would it be the printer?  Unfortunately I threw the old printheads immediately (stupid me) so I can't try that goes back to the old magent/cyan print head and see what happens.

    Hello jmmarton.

Your chip printheads were damaged by inserting wrong while the transport is always on the right side. This document provides instructions on how to replace the printhead to the unit.

  • Printhead 7510 gliding is more to the center when I open the printer to change the ink cartridges.

I have an all-in-one Photosmart 7510. My slides print head is no longer the center when I open the printer to change the ink cartridges. It remains in place on the right side. I can't access the cartridges. Otherwise, the printer can print pages without problem - it is not blocked when printing. I have had this printer for during 9 months - it is a new problem.

Thanks, but I returned the printer for a replacement - it was still under warranty.

The hp scan doctor can not solve the problem.

I tried turning off the router and the pc and the printer and reboot, several times without any modification.

  • Photosmart 5524: 5524 Print Duplex

Hi, I already bought HP Photosmart 5524. I had a problem with printing and double-sided scanning. After you print the first page, the printer pulls the page and it does not print. If I change manual double-sided printing option, the printer will work correctly.

    Hello, @marek30 - greetings!

Welcome to the HP Forum! It is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get help and advice.

I understand that you need to configure printing double-sided with your Photosmart printer.  Please follow the steps mentioned below and check:

    • Go to control panel - devices and printers.
    • Right-click on Photosmart 5524, then select 'printer properties '.
    • Select the tab "device settings".
    • Ensure that the "two-sided" is set to "Installed" rather than "Not installed" and save the settings.
    • Now, again give a right click on the printer icon and select "Print Options".
    • If a "Printing shortcuts" tab is available, select the option "Print on Both Sides" or «print double-sided (Duplex)»
    • If 'Print shortcut' is not available, click the "Layout", "Includes" or "Finishing tab", depending on which tab is displayed in your version of the driver.
    • Locate the "Print on Both Sides" or "duplex printing" menu or an option, then the option link or page flip depending on whether you want the document reads like a brochure or a Tablet and save the settings.

That should do the trick. Let me know!

    See you soon

  • Design Jet 5500: replacement of printhead

    Hello

I'm trying to replace the printhead on the HP DesignJet 5500 and following the instructions in the manual and the video guide on the CD (which is straight forward), but come with a question.

I have reached the stage of "Sunrise door above wagon" and a few seconds the print carriage moves back behind the front before the step of "pull and release the latch on the top of the cart. I am concerned when I release the lock to reveal the print heads to get behind the front until I had time to replace the print head and cause damage.

Why the printhead carriage moves during this process? Is there a way to stop this, so I had time to replace the print head?

    Thank you

On the right side of the top cover is a protuberance that based on a small switch in a hole at the top to indicate to the printer top cover is closed.  When you follow the instructions to replace the print head, the carriage moves to the left and wait about 30 seconds for the roof to open, knowing that he opened when happening releases.  On your machine, the switch for a reason not publishes so the printer think that you do not change the print head and transportation goes back. See if something is crowded in that little hole.  If you bought the printer from someone, sometimes, when he is assured that breaks switch for technicians find a way to activate it otherwise the plotter will not work.  Last use what you need to do and stops is when the carriage moves to the left is turn the printer off with the switch at the rear of the machine. Then change the print head, close the lid on the transport and the top cover, turn on the power and when the printer has completed initialization is calibrates the printheads.  To test if I'm right, just open the Center cover with the printer by hand or replace the print head message.  It should tell you to close the cover and is it does not means that the switch is always on.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: New printhead - printed without using the installer cartridges - want to use

Has had a chance to offer a new free printhead when one would not accept my new replacement ink cartridges.

Didn't I have to use new ink cartridges supplied with the new print head. On the contrary, kept all the cartridges no-SETUP, that I had just bought. Printer accepted them and printed a huge amount of things. Some of the prints seem too dark. Now the printer asks to change the cartridges and will not accept the cartridges SETUP.

    (1) is my printer not configured correctly because I haven't used the SETUP with the new print head cartridges?

    (2) is it possible that I can get the printer accepts CONFIGURATION ink cartridges so that I don't have to lose their?

If the printer did not print installing cartridges and now you want to use them, it will not accept them. I'm sorry. Replace ordinary cartridges.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a: align the printheads

There is no black printing when printing a document.  I changed all 4 cartirdges, cleaned the heads but always without success.  When I go to SNAP PRINTHED I get an ALIGNMENT FAILURE error message.  REFER TO THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE DEVICE FOR MORE DETAILS.

    Hello @rbletsch,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that your HP Officejet 6500 a e-all-in-one printer does not print in black. In addition, after having replaced all 4 cartridges, the alignment is a failure on your Officejet. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Misalignment normally associated with print head. The print head of your machine is which "reads" your cartridges and ink to go on the control document. If the print head is defective in your HP Officejet printing system is corrupt and you need a replacement of the printhead to fix this. A defective print head would cause also no black print. That being said, I'm going to run through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this problem of ink black and alignment.

To begin troubleshooting, please click here. When opens the document of support please do run Solution three, four, solution and five Solution. This includes all sub-steps under three listed Solutions. If the problem persists, replace the print head would be the next step.

If your HP Officejet is out of warranty, I recommend checking out the @Bob_Headrickpost: black ink does not because there are useful measures to soak the printhead to remove the excess ink that could block the ink black and causing finally alignment to fail.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hear from you!
