HP 5610: HP 5610 fax wireless

When I signed up for ATT Uverse, wireless connections are OK for TV, telephone and Internet.  I just noticed I can't FAX with HP 5610 all-in-one. HP 5610 printer can send FAXES wireless or do I need an adapter?

It does not have wireless Telec. You must connect an analog telephone line to the Jack on the back.

    Hi @gatekeeper1,

I see your message that you want to know if you can fax wireless and the configuration of the fax. I'd love to help you.

I have provided a few steps to set up the equipment for the fax.

Plug the phone cord provided in the box with the printer on the fax port () at the back of the printer.

Then connect the printer to a Lan port of line on the plug wall, if available, or you can also connect the telephone cable to the back of the modem. (a filter may be required by the constructor of the provider)

    Hey @HD-Heemskerk,.

I see you are trying to fax from your PC in 10 Windows with printer all-in-one Officejet 5610. I can help you with that.

You should be able to fax if you download and install the latest drivers. You can find the drivers by clicking on this link.

When you want to fax you must start by opening to the top of the print window, as if you were going to print. When you do, you should see a printer or a file to print with the printer name and (Fax) at the end. If you select that and try to print, you should see your fax options appears.

Please let me know if this allows you to fax. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

Well, you might want to try this step it would reset your default printer...

  • Unplug the power cord from the HP all-in-one device.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord from the HP all-in-one device.
  • Release the buttons after the HP all-in-one device to start.
  • The HP all-in-one device will now reset to the default settings.
  • you know that you have made the right choice if the printer asked for your country and language at startup,

or there would be another solution for the latter, which is not really recommended and this is to disable the sleep mode on your printer, I suggest you call the tech support of hp 18004746836

  • Robo call problems

    Hi all

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 with a dedicated line (non-shared) fax.  He has set up at the auto-answer and print all incoming faxes, as well as a fax for each incoming call log.

I now get robo-calls on the fax line.  There is no fax associated with these calls, but the machine still print a sheet of newspaper of fax for each call - about six calls a day!  I lose a lot of paper and ink because of these robo calls.

How I set up my machine for only printing real Fax, incoming and fax corresponding sheets of newspaper (and ignore the robo calls)?

    Pecete,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

If you have a Fax Service you can block certain numbers - without this service, I don't know of a way for the printer to know the difference between something you want and anything you don't like: there is a printer with a small brain.

You can use the HP digital fax option instead.  This option allows to shunt your faxes on your computer instead to the book - then you can decide what to print faxes.

Explanations of - USB connection - HP digital Fax begin on page 73 of the HP Officejet Pro 8600 User Guide.

HP Digital Solutions - Fax - Wireless and Ethernet PC - explanations begin on page 52.

    Hi @tariqnawaz,

I understand that you are not able to scan several pages at a time. I can help you with this.

Download and run the Print and Scan doctor. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically. Find and fix common printer problems using the tools of diagnosis HP for Windows?

If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

    Uninstalling the printer software.

    HP Officejet 6500 Wireless all-in-One Printer - E709n drivers.

Select your operating system, click Next and click on the software to download and install.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

What operating system do you use? How to find the Windows Edition and the Version on your computer.

If you need help, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • OfficeJet 4500 g510n-z no error but the! sign is on.

What is wring? You can direct me to errror messages Journal?

It doesn't seem to be a problem with the printer itself as everything on it seems to work.  The fax wireless to PC you mention is purely software of the PC.

About the light of attention, trying a hard reset by disconnecting the cable from the printer, while he is the one minute and then reconnect the current.  If it does not start automatically, press the power button to turn it on.  This resets the hardware and the software of the printer.  In most cases, this will reset the light of attention.

Regarding try Fax, send a fax to the printer itself to check that the feature is always present.  If this succeeds, then we know that it is strictly a matter of software on your PC, preventing the sending of faxes from the PC does not work.

Since it is here and now it's not, try to uninstall completely printing software.  Once it is uninstalled, run HP Officejet software and driver removal utility to ensure that the software and drivers are removed to a clean install.

Reinstall the software in the same way as you did previously, even if the USB cable is not necessary since the printer is already on the wireless network.  You should be able to choose an installation over the network and it should scan the network and install the printer already on the network.

A clean install to reinstall any software that was missing before.

  • What is the proper maintenance of Photosmart printer?

My first inkjet printer is a HP Deskjet 842c and it worked fine for almost ten years before that I gave to my friend - still works.  After having such a reliable product, it's a no-brainer to buy a HP printer again.  In 2009, I did a serious upgrade and got an all-in-One (TouchSmart Web of HP Photosmart Premium all-in-One Printer C309n) with all the bells and whistles... scanner, fax, wireless, capable of printing photos.  I immediately fell in love with her, using a scanner and print more photos...

I was very surprised to find out this week that a component, I had not heard of, called a print head was not working and needed replacement.  HP parts helped me and got spare $ 50 for me in a few days.  When it arrived, I did everything the instructions advised - remove the old part, clean the printer in a specific area and the manner and replace all ink cartridges (which cost me a lot).  After much work and calls to HP, I was informed that the printer itself wad dead replacement and necessary. I was shocked, as the life expectancy of my first HP printer had been so long.

I really want to buy a HP Photosmart once again, but want to make sure I'm doing everything that is good to keep the happy printer and have a long life.  If there is no regular maintenance, cleaning, etc. I do with my new inkjet can someone advise to extend the life of it?  When I removed the original printhead, that he had a bunch of gunked-up ink on it, and that was obviously not good for her.  I never even bought an extended warranty, since I had no failures of the first.  I'll get it for my next.

Any advice would be greatly appreicated help me...

    Hello

Sorry to hear about your experience, it sounds like one you print a lot and I was chatting with some people here, to see what printer model that would better suit you your needs. If you want to stick with a photosmart, you could go with a system of 5 ink print head again. This could be a good option that you already have a print head "spare" if something goes wrong. Otherwise, you could get away PS and look to Officejet Pro instead. Take a look at the printer Buying Guide for more information http://h71036.www7.hp.com/hho/cache/597655-0-0-225-121.html

BTW, if you are having problems printing quality that people have had success with the printhead from soaking recommended by Bob in this post , I would say only this, if you are out of warranty, otherwise contact the HP Support.

You could make ordinary print head cleans, but just be warned that little ink get used during this process.

Hope it will be useful to you. I would suggest contacting HP when buying is still once it is probably of discounts available for upgrade to new models of printers.

  • Win7 x 64 install an Officejet 6500 has MORE. Cannot print

Win7 x 64 install an Officejet 6500 has MORE. Printer is connected to the wireless very well. Win7 x 64 computer can ping and see the printer on the network.

Get a message error everytime I try to print saying: "it cannot connect to the printer.

Same computer can connect to the printer and to view and modify settings wireless very well.

I guess it's a problem with Win7 x 64. I need to fix this before to decide to take back to Costco and exchange for the Canon I almost branch instead. HP you have always had driver problems, but still? Really!

Has taken over the crappy HP. Picked up a Canon PIXMA MX882 instead. Impeccable installation, in 10 min I'm printing, scanning, fax wireless with not a single question.

I am VERY disappointed with HP and its incompatibility with Win7 x 64 drivers. Don't advertise your crap software is compatible, when it is not! I lost hours of my personal time, trying to get HP to work then most of time taking the piece of crap back (I really like the hardware of the printer - software "guys really?"). I will never buy another HP printer. And on the Canon Wireless Setup was easier. A button called easy set up on top of the printer and BAM done. * beep * HP, * beep * indeed.
