HP 6830:6830 scanning

I created my printer 6830 with assistance from Support.  Now, I try to scan a document and send it in the glass.  The screen shows this analysis was good and full email.  I added myself to the recipients.  I have not received the email.  Any suggestions?

Hello

Things to check would be that you have inserted the full e-mail address correctly and that the printer is connected to the internet.

Another approach (although not as convenient or live) would be to scan the image and save the image file which can then be attached directly to an email.

I just bought my 6830 and it prints well.  I just tried to scan for the first time (on computer) and had an error:

One of these problems has occurred:

The connection to the computer has been lost.  (Prints fine then no)

The application of scanning the computer is currently in use (do not think)

An OCR application is not installed on the computer.  (Don't know what it is)

I had a HP Officejet before and it parsed correctly.  Do I need a new OCR application?  If Yes, where can I get it?

    Hi @analisa808,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you cannot scan to PDF with your printer HP Officejet Pro 6830. And I'm happy to see it for you!

To get help, I'll need some more information:

    1. If you use Windows or operating system Mac and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
    2. If the printer is connected, USB, Ethernet, or wireless.
    3. If the printer is able to make copies.
    4. If the power cable is connected to a surge protector, or directly to a wall outlet. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

In the meantime, if you are using Windows, try the HP Print and Scan Doctor program. And let me know what happens!

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 - scan to network?

    Hello

Anyone know if it is possible to set up scan to network folder/path directly using the Officejet Pro 6830? The option does not appear on the printer control panel and requires the computer to be turned on in order and this option for the analysis to cross successfully.

If not, are there plans to add this feature in a new version of s/w?

    Thank you

    Breleur

    HI Sylvain,.

The model HP Offiecjet 6830 Pro does not support scanning to a network shared folder.

For series Officejet Pro 8600 Officejet series manages this type of functionality, not the 6800 series.

I highly doubt such a feature will become supported in the future...

You can check the scanning to E-mail option of the printer, such only require the printer to connect to the network and need not the PC can be powered on:

    Hi @kskhater,

It may be best to contact Apple to make sure everything is configured correctly and the necessary ports are open.

You can create a second admin account, is not on the privileges, it is to determine if there is a problem with your user profile. The question might have something to do with your printing system. I know that the issue is scanning, but the printing system, it's what the driver, and since we already have reset the printing system, Apple may need to reload, or the operating system. Create a second user account will help determine whether the problem is related to your account.

As you can see, at this point, we are at a stage of diagnosis, troubleshooting is the process of elimination. To identify the cause in order to solve the problem.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: Officejet pro 6830 scan won't save in mac Sierra

I open HP Scan of Applications on my iMac, running Mac Sierra.  Scanning documents OK then I have the ability to send to the printer or folder.  When I try to send a file, the 'Save' button is grayed out and I can't save the analysis.  I tried to save in different formats and different folders, but without success.  Any ideas?  I can save a scan if I directly on the printer, but in this case I don't get a choice of file to send it to.

    Hello
The HP scanning application is not compatible with Sierra, so you may experience problems.
Remove the HP scanning by moving it to the trash, then empty the trash.

Instead install HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/installations/Essentials/HP-easy-scan-1_7_0.pkg

If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.
Click on the Bank on the menu bar, click Reload Page, click all update if an update is available.

    Kind regards

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830 E3E02A: HP Officejet Pro 6830 scan via web control panel

Hello, I just bought the printer, and I tried to configure the analysis via the web control panel.

When I tried to scan, I got the message:

"You can't use this feature because it has been disabled. For more information, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the printer. »

Given that I'm the one who created the printer and I am the network administrator in my house, there is not one that I can talk to

I tried to find permissions in the printer itself, but I couldn't find anything.

Can you help me configure the scanning to any computer that connects to the control panel (only designed connected to the wifi can do anyway is safe)

    Thanks, Lidor

    Hello

Please specify what you are looking for to WebScan.

Here is the procedure to activate Webscan (you are almost there to implement!),

First, we assume that your printer is installed over the network (whether via a wireless or Ethernet connection)

    1. Go to your printer and to determine the IP address of the printer for example 15.37.213.128
    2. The priner key IP address in your Internet Explorer browser
    3. Go to sweep, there should be an option Webscan. If it says "you cannot use this function...". ", you will need to enable it.
    4. Activation of the Webscan: Click on 'Settings' > 'Security' > 'Administrator settings' (simply 'continue' if there are any warnings about certificates, you may need to click on "Advanced" to continue)
    5. Under 'Settings administrator', it should be a "Webscan' option, be sure to what is"checked"and"Apply"or"Save"your settings.
    6. Go back to perform a scan and you should be able to see the Scan options. Select "Document Source" to be "ADF", PDF "Type of Document' and 'start scanning '! (You can also select "Document Source" to be "JPEG")
    7. Once scanning is complete, right-click and save your file in the destination of your choice.

Here is a relevant video showing how Webscan is done, you are right in saying Webscan can be used in any OS, the video example uses Chrome for example:

    Hello @dinvas,

Thanks for getting back to me with your Scan-to-Email method. I did some additional research in the area of e-mail sending the issue that you are experiencing and found the following information:

"The ePrint server will not accept messages sent from private areas."  (Source) The e-mail domain "@xs4all.nl ' that you are having problems with a private domain would be qualified bird. That's why the scan to email to your Hotmail account works fine, but others do not.

  • 6830 HP scanning capabilities

    Hello

hp 6830 adf has the two-sided scanning ability?

Which means that it can analyze a face double page automatically?

In the case where it is not what printer has this kind of capability?

    Thank you

    Dror

Generally, there are very few models that allow the two-sided scanning.

Currently the 8620 8630 models or Officejet Pro are the only consumer models that provide this type of functionality.

Other than that, there only more end sales of models such as the M425dn of LaserJet Pro with such capabilities.

I'm trying to scan on my all-in-one printer, but it won't pull the paper down in the adf.

Open the HP Officejet Pro 6830 software (it is wither appears on your dektopm or under all programs > HP > printer folder).

Click on scan a Document or Photo and check the scan source is defined as "Use (if installed) document feeder", and then click the scan button and check for the difference.

  • My new printer HP Officejet Pro 6830 continually prepares to scan whenever it is turned on.

My brand new HP printer officejet Pro 6830 repeatedly "prepares to sweep" movement of the scan head in position again and again each time it is turned on. What is going on?

Welcome to the HP Forums @jporter0,

I saw your post on your Officejet 6830 attempting to initialize a scan when the printer is turned on and I wanted to get do you I share my suggestions.

Try a power reset to start and make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet, avoiding the power and surge arresters bars.

With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

When the reset is complete, try to make a copy, print, scan again and let me know if you see any problems with these features. If you notice the error codes, include them as well!

Hit the "Accept as Solution" If the issue reached a resolution! Click on the thumb below to love my post or show thanks to me to lend a hand up!

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: Printer OfficeJet Pro 6830 how to scan to PDF files

I bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 6830, and I can't understand how to scan documents from the printer to my computer in PDF format. It analyzes only in JPEG format.

The documentation I found online says that the PDF option should be present on the touch screen, but are the only options on my printer to scan to the computer, fax scan, scan to e-mail, etc..

I have 10 windows and a new HP laptop.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

    Thanks for your comments.

The disc that came with the printer may or may not have the support to win 10 OS as the priter was launched before Win 10 is available - where the download URL would be a safer way to get the WIn 10 OS feature MANY software.

We recommend that you download (save on the hard drive) rather than installing in online it.

After you install the FULL features software, you will be able to scan in PDF format.

    Hope that helps.
