HP 8600 officejet pro printing issues

Hello

I have an officejet pro printer hp8600.  I have connected to a network. I had to reinstall Windows 7 64 bit on my computer following an accident.  This meant also to reinstall the printer drivers as well.  I am able to print from Word, however I can't print from internet.  I get this message: "there was an internal error and Internet Explorer is unable to print this document." (Internet Explore 11) I downloaded pint and Scan Doctor 4.2 and made 'issues of difficulty printing' and all checks very well.  In my view, that the problem is that I can't solve my printer because it has a warning sign in my area "devices and printers".  When I run the troubleshooter, it is said that it cannot identify the problem.

Thank you

Deflace

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: OfficeJet Pro 8600 is no longer connects to the network

I serve my 8600 OfficeJet Pro on a local network with a wireless connection to a router. Now the printer will not connect to the router.

I can ping the printer to the router, then the wireless hardware works. I can print when it is connected with a USB cable, scanning to a USB key, so printing/scanning equipment works.

WiFi Protected setup does not work. When prompted I press the button on the router for 3 seconds, the printer who sees because I get a 'connection to the network"roundy roundy, but it times out instead to complete the connection.

The WiFi connection wizard does not work. Analysis of available networks found my network, but when I enter the password, I get a "trying to connect to the Network" roundy-roundy, followed of a message "Wireless invalid password (WPA) has come."

The printed report assures me that's the wireless works, and that the WPA password that I entered the printer does not match the configuration in the wireless router. It is wrong - it's the same password using my computer and the computer has no problem connecting. I changed the password on the router (and the computer) and tried the new password on the printer, but that does not work either.

Is there a way to erase the memory of the printer and restore the default settings that can help?

Temporarily remove the password and all the safety devices on the router. Save the settings. Now try to connect the printer to your SSID not guaranteed without password. Are you successful? If so, go back and add a WPA2-AES encryption with your password and try to log in again. Do not use WPS.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 +: OfficeJet Pro 8600 + very slow to print

We recently purchased a new MacBook.  From the beginning on this MacBook, our HP 8600 printer takes long time to start an extremetly to print.  Sometimes it prints ever.  The printer is set up wireless.  Sometimes the print area will say that is having problems connecting to the printer, but not always.

This only happens on this MaxBook.  I have an iMac and a Windows laptop, both connect to the same wireless printer.  Both of these printing devices print jobs fairly quickly.

I downloaded the new drivers.  Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.  Restarted the printer and wireless access point.  Disabled iPV6.

Don't know what else to try.

  • 8600 Officejet Pro 8600 no more stopped printing

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 Plus 8600 that I installed on my home wireless router.  I use a Dell laptop with the Windows 7 operating system.  I have installed the printer without a problem when I bought it a month ago.  A few days ago, I tried to print a page before going to my work and could not operate.  I don't think much since I'm in a hurry, but later when I returned from work, that my printer was still not working.  I unplugged the printer and close the router and the laptop.  I rebooted everything and always the printer would not work.  No test page or anything.  I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled and the Test of Fax report prints fine, but when I tried to run the printer test page, I got the error message "Unable to communicate with the printer."  I have worked on this for two days now and nothing I will work.  I used the doctor Print and evrything goes, but still no luck.  Help please?

WEEL I finally thought to it.  My McAfee did an update that wiped out my ability to print.  I changed the settings for McAfee and I was able to print again.  Thanks for your help!

    Hello @dhzz,

    Thank you for your response.

    (1) the printer EWS must appear on the browser before moving on to the next step. Please make sure that the printer and the computer are connected to the same network. If the SAP is not displayed, it means that the printer and the computer are on different networks. Get IP address and enter in the address bar of the printer. The image below is an example for a printer EWS. Please note how the IP address is entered (marked inside the red rectangle).

    (2) the link I provided was a 'and' added in the end. So try the address without 'and': http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL40129/bi-108860-3/OJ8600_Basicx64_1315.exe

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: OfficeJet Pro ePrint 8600 - cannot select paper tray - HP needs to fix this problem

This is a limitation of the software that HP needs to fix. I bought this machine multifunction largely for two features, ePrint, and two bins to paper. I had released two paper because I often need to print on paper thick and does not want to manually load the cards into the printer whenever I don't want to print on thicker paper. Unfortunately tray 2 is not compatible with card stock so I keep copy regular paper in tray 2 (tray 2 is defined as the default tray) and I keep card stock in Tray 1, which is compatible with cards. The problem and the limitation is when I am traveling and want to use ePrint. Even if my default tray on the printer is 2, which is where the paper is, if I use ePrint to print, HP ePrint by default tray 1, which means that I print on thick paper. This isn't only a problem when you travel. One of the advantages of the ePrint, in theory, is I can print on my desktop at home via ePrint printer when connected to my VPN employers. I've had this machine for two years. It seems that HP would have an update now to solve this problem. So far, nothing. Frustrating!

    Hello @HudsonOH,

Thanks for posting in the forums of HP and welcome.

I understand that you are not able to choose your paper tray of your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one using ePrint. I would like to help with this, as much as I can.

Unfortunately, when you simply send an e-mail to the printer, you cannot change the print settings, because it uses the default settings on the ePrint server.

However, if you have an Android or iOS device, you can download the HP ePrint app. This allows you to add the printer by ePrint e-mail address and send print jobs when you are not with the computer (need you an active wifi or data connection, however). The application also allows to select print settings if you can ensure that you don't waste card stock paper you loaded in the machine.

To download the app on iOS, simply open the app store and type 'HP ePrint' in the search bar.

To download the app on Android, you can open the store game (or game of Google) and search for "HP ePrint.

Once you have installed the application, you can add your printer via his email ePrint:

    1. open the ePrint application and select OK on the demo screens.

    2. Once you reach the home screen, it will show your printer name, or not find printers (depending on whether you are at home with your printer, or on the go). Select this check box.

    3. you will see a tab at the top that says all, select it.

    4. press on the + symbol to add a printer.

    5. Enter your ePrint e-mail address and select Add.

To print using the application, return to the home screen and select an item to print one of the options listed. Note: If you are on iOS, you can even add your e-mail information in the application so that you can print emails.

In addition, you can sign up here for updates on the new firmware and software for your printer, in which case no alternative workaround should arise: stay connected with updates from HP

    I hope this helps!

I would like to work with you today with the resolution of the problem of scan that you encounter when you try to scan from your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer to your computer Windows 8.1. I understand that when you click on the HP printer Assistant icon you get a screen "install". This indicates that your software is here and ready to work, but your printer is no longer bound to this software. For this reason, I will guide you through the steps for reinstalling your device to fix software problems and the pilot. Please follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Uninstall the drivers:

For the purposes of troubleshooting, it is important that we have a clean slate to work with. So, I'll you delete everything Officejet software and drivers on your computer.

    2. When the splash screen opens, type programs and features. Click on programs and features to open it.
    3. When the programs and features opens a list of the programs installed on your computer will populate. Scroll down the list until your see HP Officejet 8600. Select the HP Officejet device and click Uninstall
    4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation of your product.

Once the Officejet has been uninstalled successfully, please proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Remove temporary files:

    1. Open the screen, Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. When the splash screen opens, type run. Click on Run to launch the run dialogue box.
    3. In the run box, type %temp% , and then click OK
    4. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
    6. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 3: Reinstall the drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the latest drivers for your HP Officejet
    2. Once the site opens, please click on the download button at the top left
    3. If you are prompted, please allow the download to run
    4. Once the download is complete, please follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer.

Once your printer is reinstalled successfully, please try scanning and printing to confirm that everything is working properly again. If your printer is unable to install because it is not 'detected' when installing, please let me know how your HP Officejet is connected to your Windows computer (USB, Ethernet cable or wireless).

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: officejet pro 8600 habit of scanning by plateau

    Hello

My printer won't scan anything through the plateau on top. I currently have a "HP Officejet Pro 8600' that I use for my mac. When I first put in place more than 6 months ago, I had no problem whatever it is across the Board on top of digitization, but now after the upgrade to Yosemite I got nothing else problems. During my first installation of Yosemite was not able to print or scan but after blocking it with a few updates, I'm not still able to scan documents through the State Bar through the Analyzer of glass I can scan things.

    Any ideas?

Also when I choose HP scanner allows you to change the presets for photos to documents until after I scanned something by habit.

Hello @Picture-j and welcome to the Forums of HP

I'm sorry to hear you had problems, but I will certainly do my best to help with your JO 8600!

To start, let's see if we can get this upper tray (ADF) to work with a copy. Can you put a document (or a blank sheet of paper to save ink if you do not need a copy of what it is) in the file ADF and ask him to make a copy. Does it work?

If so, what happens when you try to scan using the ADF? You get an error? The wheels just spin? I would like to know all the details that can help

If it does that it is, it could very well be a problem with the hardware itself, and in this case, I suggest that you try the procedure described in this document the ADF documents (ADF) does not Pick Up paper to clean the rollers and I hope to pick up the paper.

Let me know how things are going and we'll go from there!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 leaves black lines on docs scanned when using the document feeder

This is the second HP Officejet Pro 8600 I had - one was replaced by HP, after that the same issue arose.  I tried to clean the entire unit, but we still get a thin black line running vertically down the page.  This line is divided into sections of 1 "and 2.5" in length.  Sometimes I get the fine line and then almost a shadow line that is parallel.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated I have scan documents to PDF format and it's hassle to put everyone on the flat for scanning.  I use the charger of the doc on a daily basis and wonder if this could have something to do with the lines.

    Thanks for any help.

The question is a spec on thin (~ 1 "wide) glass to the left of the main bed scanner.  Clean this area as described in this document.  It can be difficult to see the affected area, a bright flashlight which is held at an angle to the glass can help find the place.  Even a very small spec on the glass can cause a black line when using the ADF.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 copies are almost completely black

Copies of the Officejet Pro 8600 are almost completely black.  The party central - perhaps an ich in width - is somewhat readable.  Printed documents are okay. This printer is 2.5 years old and worked fine in what concerns all the until today.  Thank you.

Hello @Tim1943 and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you use in the copy output problems.  I would like to help!

I would recommend starting with a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I suggest you then plug the power to the printer into a different wall outlet.

Another recommendation would be updated the firmware of the printer:

Printer updates for HP Officejet Pro 8600 (N911), 6600 (H711) Officejet and Officejet 6700 Premium (H711) e-all-in-One Printer Series

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • OfficeJet pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 Connect USB on Windows 10

I've recently updated Windows 8.1 to Windows Pro 10. I lost connection to my Officejet Pro 8600. When I try to reinstall using the HP CD, the system does not recognize the USB cable is connected. The cable I use (which came with the printer) is not under any stress, so I don't think the USB cable is defective. How can I fix? Thank you!

    Hi @ThreeofSeven,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 to Windows Pro 10 and when you try to install using the installation disk supplied with the printer is not recognizing the USB cable. I want to help you with that.

I would like to start by uninstalling all HP Officejet Pro 8600 previously installed software and drivers.

    1. If your printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cable from the printer.

2 Windows search to uninstall a program, and then click the control panel to uninstall a program in the list of results.

    3. in the list of installed programs, click the name of your HP printer, and then click Uninstall or Yes to confirm uninstallation.

    4. follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation of software.

    5 restart the computer.

Then, use the HP printer installation wizard to install the latest version of the software and drivers for your printer. Note: wait until you are prompted to connect the USB cable.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

    Thank you!
