  We have exactly 2 Administrator accounts on the computer of my family [Windows XP]. One is one of the user accounts, the other is a global administrator account. Both passwords. Both have been forgotten.

  If this is related to the UEFI/BIOS password - you will need to try to get into the BIOS and try 3 times with wrong password. Finally, you will get something like the system off the code. Enter this code.

  Open this site > www.bios-pw.org and enter the code off. You will receive a response for HP code which can be used to access the BIOS and reset the security settings.

  If you already have this code disabled, just visit www.bios-pw.org

  You should be able to remove the need for a power on password as follows.

  Shut down the laptop.

  Now on TAP the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to access the start menu, then select f10 to open the Bios menu.

  Use the arrows to select the Security tab and press ENTER.  Use the arrow keys again to highlight the power on password and press ENTER.

  Enter the current password and then the new password, simply leave this blank and press on enter - do the same for the confirmation field.  Press f10, select this option to save the new settings and press to enter.
