HP B210a Airprint question

First of all, the specs:

Mini Mac (OS x 10.6.8)

Router Linksys WRT110 (Firmware 1.0.07)

Printer HP B210a (no update available) (192.168.1.240 IP address)

IPad (iOS 5.01)

Latest drivers downloaded HP to Apple.

Now, the story:

I bought a B210a HP specially to operate as a wireless Airprint-compatible printer.  The printer connected to my network wireless without any problem.  Installing the printer on the Mac was a different story:

I tried to use the last installation of HP software.  It would not recognize the printer if it is connect via USB.  Once the popup advised to unplug the USB, the software once more could not find the printer.  So, I tried a few other ways:

A. He has appeared as a printer via Bonjour (large), but when I tried to install the drivers of the B210 series I got an "error: 30886" message.

B. I tried to connect via LPD with static address.  It connected but has then continuously 'offline '.

C. I tried to connect via IPP.  Connected, it automatically paused for printing before each attempt of a job.

D. I was finally able to connect using HP Jetdirect-socket and install the proper drivers.

So, after a day and a half to install, uninstall, start, restart, configuration and reconfiguration, the printer is now connected wireless to the computer.  I can print from the computer.  I can access the printer web page via IP address in my browser.  What I can't do yet is Airprint.

When I try to print on the iPad, no printer is listed.  When I press "Select Printer", I get the message "No Airprint Printers Found"

I tried the Apple Support site and, of course, they say check with HP.  Here are some details on the configuration of the printer:

Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One B210a

IP 192.168.1.240

Gateway 192.168.1.1

Server DNS 8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4 secondary

Channel 11

Firmware TAL1FN1127AR

WPA - PSK authentication

Automatic encryption (AES or TKIP)

All - Pass Network Diagnostics

Signal quality - very good to Excellent

Any ideas?

Find my own solution... at least for the moment.

(1.) download Airprint Activator (release 2)

http://netputing.com/airprintactivator/AirPrint-Activator-V2-0/

2.) installed

(3.) as a first step, he wants only to recognize the Hello to connect to the printer.  Then...

4.) deleted the HP Jetdirect connection, I got to the printer via IP static

5.) Reinstalled the HP Jetdirect via IP connection static

6.) Airprint Activator recognizes the connection via IP

7.), IP connection that now presents itself on the iPad as an Airprint option.

8.) choose the IP connection

9.) now works on my iPad Airprint (text and photos now print)

We have no idea the Hello connection.

I'll post again if it stops working.

I've sorted my own problem and I put this here for everyone in a similar situation with airprint questions. The problem for me was my new router from talk talk upgraded. Everything seems fine. • question of AirPrint

    Hi people,

first of all thanks to everyone will try and help me. I have a problem with my printer HP airprint. Everything used to work like a charm until yesterday. I had to buy a new modem, and I chose a dlinkgo of link GO-DSL-AC750 Modem-Router ADSL Wireless AC 750 Mbps Dual-Band.

Internet works fine but my printer and my macbook air can no longer communicate. Sometimes it seems to work, so I add my printer to my list of empty printer. No matter what I do after I restart my mac that does not have the printer and the scanner cannot be joined. I was wondering what is work here and if anyone has experienced something similar. Thanks again,

    Marco

The publication of the printer on the network relies on a protocol called Hello. This is responsible for the display of the printer in the default view of the window add a printer. Since you do not see the printer, then it suggests that you have a problem with Hello. To verify that you can activate the Safari to act as a browser of Hello. To do this, open Safari and then preferences. On the Advanced tab, you will see an entry Hello and the possibility to choose to have the Hello in the bookmarks bar or bookmarks menu. Select the bookmarks menu and then close the preferences window. Now, if you click on the bookmarks menu, you will see an entry of Hello and if you select this option the printer must be included. Do you see it?

Looks like everything is going well, my iphone, ipad and itouch all detect the printer and it seems that he sends it but nothing every lot of the printer

    I turned off the bluetooth

I put it closer to the router

    I tried to turn it

I think I did everything. Help, please

    Hello

Airprint uses Hello pockets that depend on IP multicasting, it might be caused by no. Multicast support by the router or protocol can be disabled by default.

To identify the problem and check if it is related to your router or not, please try temporary of the iDevices directly to the printer (ad-hoc connection) and check any changes:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02945489

If you are able to print successfully using direct connection, please specify your brand of router, model and firmware version in order to better understand any possible cause.

  • Connect a printer non-airprint for the Airport express

Can I use an express train from the airport as a stand-alone wireless network to allow printing from an IOS device.  I want to connect an AirPrint not printer to the usb port on the Express with no ethernet cable is connected and so no internet and use it as a printer from an IPhone?

    My main questions are

    1. a no AirPrint printer allows printing from IOS using the Airport Express Terminal

    2. If so, the Airport express can not be connected to the internet?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. a no AirPrint printer allows printing from IOS using the Airport Express Terminal

Actually, no. Connect a non-AirPrint printer to the USB port on the base station will NOT make it capable AirPrint. In order to print from a device iOS on this printer, you need to a third party (such as the Printopia) application running on a Mac.

    2. If so, the Airport express can not be connected to the internet?

Function of the Express print server does not have Internet access at work. In other words, you can have the Express create a local wireless network, connect a USB printer and share the printer on the LAN. However, yet again, if the printer is capable non-AirPrint, iOS devices will not be able to print directly to it.

  • iPad Pro - questions before you buy

    I buy the iPad Pro 12.9 ".

I have an old computer Intel iMac with Leopard (I know - obsolete).

    My questions:

-Can I connect the iPad to my computer and access to the files of my iMac to download on the internet on my iPad?

-Can I connect a Kensiington trackball to the iPad?

-Can I connect my printer to the iPad?

    Answers would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Nina

    Number on the trackball

The printer is a '' maybe. '' If your printer airprint enabled it will work natively. If it's just a wireless printer, you may need a soft of the manufacturer of the printer, or a third party printer app. If she is not a wifi printer, then no, it won't work because there is no support for wired printing

  • HP Officejet 8625: AirPrint broken after updating the printer itself

Our printer has worked successfully with multiple devices i two Macs and a pc.

My daughter has allowed the printer install an update of last week and it no longer works via the wireless network or via AirPrint (devices does not detect the printer, cannot connect mac).

If I plug it in with the USB cable, I can print with my Mac. The system is normally with most devices using AirPrint wireless to access the printer (my Mac included; "I think he uses theough Hello AirPrint).

I have reset the printer by default, it unplugged for a while, restarted several devices. It worked fine until the HP update.

    Hello @spruitts,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you have a problem printing with your Officejet 8625 after the firmware update.

    I would like to help.

You cannot print wireless, but you can print via USB. It makes me feel like the question is associated.

I would just make some network problems, deciding that something is wrong with the printers firmware.

Try to go through the following documents.

  • Problems of AirPrint

Need help, as I have tried everything I can think of!

I have a printer HP DeskJet 3050 a (J611a, SMP1FN1115AR firmware version), which is connected to my router wireless Netgear WNR200 (firmware V1.2.3.7). I have three computers connected Windows (2 wired, 1 wireless) printing over the network absolutely fine. The printer is configured for ePrint and I tested too - everything works correctly.

My mother has an iPad 3 (new iPad, the iPad, Apple no matter what you want to call it!) version of the software 5.1.1 (B 9, 206). I have it connected to my network, and it can access the internet. When I try to add the printer (click the arrow of the action in safari, select printer print, select search for printers) it says "AirPrint printers No Found.

I installed the HP software & Bis, and he finds the printer and prints without problem, demonstrating that the network works fine.

I followed the HP store, update the firmware (all devices were already at the latest), I enabled RIP_1 (_2B & 2 M) on the router, but nothing helped. I saw a suggestion to disable IPv6, but cannot find how to do that on the iPad, but the router is not IPv6 anyway so don't think that is the question.

If anyone has any suggestions or (God forbid) a proven solution, I would be very happy to hear it until all my hair is ripped!

Either by the way, the reason why I'm doing all this is to convince my MOM to buy the same printer (or the 3070) - so far it is not to leave a good impression. Also, I need to come here to test him, so excuse me if I take some time in response to suggestions.

    Thank you
    Paul.

Your router blocks of Hello packets (mdns). You can check wth Netgear to see if they can help you to reconfigure the router or get an update firmware for the router.

  • Re: Problems of AirPrint

My Hp Laserjet 1217 PNT mfp. Printer was printing from my IPad, but will do no more. How can I re set as a printer of the air

    Hi Barb914,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  I see that you have found a "No. AirPrint Printers' found message when you try to print from your iPad for the Laserjet MFP 1217nwp.

I've included the document How to use Apple AirPrint on a wireless network for you.  It is a document of FAQ for AirPrint.  One of the questions is "what happens if a"Find AirPrint printers"message on my Apple device?".   Please click on the + sign next to this question and there steps that you need to re-establish the connection to your printer.

  • I have an Ipad. It has been implemented for eprint airprint, but lately, it does not work.

    HP Officejet 6500 a Plus

    Mac Lion operating system

Printer not detected from my Ipad

    None

    Hello fjnatwick,

If I understand you correctly, you could use airprint in the past to print from your iPad. If you cannot see your printer appears when I try to print, try the following steps:

    1. If the printer is still lit, disconnect the power cord from the printer, leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Once connected to the printer should automatically turn on.

    2. turn off iPad completely by pressing the power button on the upper right of the iPad until you see "Slide to power off" and drag your finger on the bar to completely turn off the iPad. Now re - turn on the iPad.

Try your print job again and see if you are able to locate the printer on your iPad.

If you are able to locate the printer but nothing happens when you press the "print" key, then try the following steps:

1 clear print jobs from the print queue on your iPad by tapping twice on the home button. "PrintCenter" icon should appear at the bottom of the screen. Select PrintCenter and delete print jobs by sliding your finger across each task and select "Delete" until they are all gone.

Now, try again to see if it is able to correctly print your print job.

If you still have problems, questions, do not hesitate to reply to this message and I'll try to find an answer for you.

  • 6500 a ios7 AirPrint

    Hello

I have an OfficeJet 6500 (E710N-z) a, which says that the HP support site must be compatible and able to print via AirPrint.

However, since a couple of weeks back, the printer no longer shows according to availability. We have several features of IOS7, and we are no longer able to print to the printer from any one of them.

I have a ping utility on my ipad, and I can't ping the printer by its IP address. And yet I have not all available printers when I try to 'select printer'.

I downloaded HP ePrint app, also the Print utility and remote AiO, and none of these applications are able to locate the printer either.

I hope that someone in the forum can help me, please.

    Kind regards

    Sloan4

    Hi Sloan4,

Try restarting your router by unplugging for 30 seconds, then turn it on and wait a minute or two.

Turn the printer off and back on, then check all difference.

For any question, please let me know your routerbrand and your model, so make sure that the printer has the latest firmware installed:
