  Let's try the following steps:

  (1) run the HP installation executable (i.e. PS_AIO_06_B209a-m_USW_Full_Win_WW_140_175 - 4.exe)
  2) click on the Windows Logo and type R on your keyboard keys, press and %Temp% OK.
  3) navigate to the extracted installation folder, it will be with 7z (i.e. 7zs1234)
  4) go into the subdirectory "Setup."
  (5) move, delete or rename the Intel USB System Check (usbready.exe) utility
  6) double-click the installation executable in the main extraction file (Setup.exe)

  Thanks for the post.  Given that your system has been recently 'cleaned', I suspect you're right.  Photosmart drivers are missing, probably all printers or other devices installed are likely gone as well.  I have included a link below with some excellent information get the latest drivers and installation methods.  Good luck!

  I have a Mac running osx10.9.4 and a connected wireless, B210a printer all-in-one. Everything works well until a recent update that removed all the printing options (color / gray scale / etc. of paper type and print quality)

  The last thing to print very well were some photos in July. Since then whenever I try to print, the black is so fake and colors too bright - almost as if she always strives to pring on photo paper.   Sorry to hear about the recent issues with the B210a Photosmart on Mac 10.9.4. The printer will copy without any quality problem?

  I would try the following on the Mac;

  1. Reset the printing on Mac system. (Mac OS x: how to reset the printing system)
  2. Repair disk permissions (ignore the statement about 10.7)
  3. Download and install this: v.2.16.1 for OS X HP printer drivers.
  4. Add the printer using print and scan from system preferences.

  I saw your post on scanning problems you are having with your B210a Photosmart on El captain and wanted to answer you. You have the printer model does not have a comprehensive driver features and software available on 10.11, to this effect, you will not be able to scan with HP Software. Try to install the printer using an Apple software update after the uninstall of the printer as shown below and then try to scan using Easy Scan or screenshot images. I hope this will help you!

  On a Pavilion p6340f, I have installed the software update driver for the printer B210a Photosmart Plus to go with Windows installed 10 (all updates installed successfully).    Installation crashes when searching network environment. Printer is on and accessible on a portable Windows 10 separate network.   The software works on laptop after repeated tests (finally put in place), but I can't do on the desktop Pavilion.    Print and scan the doctor search network and printer with no problems.  Firewall is not a problem.
