I have a hp compaq dc5100 sff with 3 GHz, computer of office 2 GB of ram. I've updated my laptop and it works fine. If I can't understand, I guess I'll go back to windows 7. Ideals, let me know...
Ok.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the latest driver ethernet directly from BCM and see if it works.
I think you need the first driver on the list for 32 bit.
http://www.Broadcom.com/support/?GID=9
You will need to manually install the driver for the adapter ethernet BCM in the Device Manager, as the file contains only the driver files and no setup.exe file.

The Internet connection is lost after installing Windows update
Original title: put automatic has caused the loss of access to the internet
After that the last automatic updates have been installed on the 8/17 or 18, I lost the internet connection.
I had to restore my computer to an earlier date. When it was complete, I had access to the internet.
I have reset my updates for having me choose when and which ones who. When I install the updates, how can I know who we are at the origin of the problem. In addition, how will I be able to solve the problem?
Hello
What is the error when you try to access the internet after upgrades?
Method 1: Update the network drivers
I suggest to update the network drivers, then try to update and check if the problem persists.
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly.
Method 2:
We can find the update by installing the updates one at a time, the origin of the problem.
To do:
1. click on Start, type windows update and press enter
2. click on check for updates in the left pane of the window
3. when updates are found, open the list and select one at a time and install them.

Unable to connect to google after installing windows 10 "secure connection failed".
I installed windows 10 today.
now, every time that I can't get to google/youtube to firefox, internet explorer and opera.
I get this error:
"Secure connection failed".
The connection on www.google.com while the page is loading.
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."
I would appreciate help, google and youtube are rather important
Sorry for the delay, long day away.
With this many cross-browser issues, can you confirm that your system clock date, time, and time zone are all correct? SSL validity checks are time sensitive.
If you see a globe, I think that you are unable to use an HTTPS address. Usually Firefox displays a padlock or a "!" icon in the shape of triangle on a HTTPS address depending on whether the certificate withdraws or has a problem.
Is there a code in parentheses, separated by underscores in the error page? If so, could you copy and paste this code.

Internet high speed decreased after installing Windows 8.1
Dear guys, I installed Windows 8.1 on my laptop HP Pavilion G6 2241sa.
Everything is perfect, I downloaded all the drivers, internet works fine BUT I noticed that the speed of my broadband a few minutes down from 80%. My broadband speed is 30meg to bottom/30 megs.
Download speed is reduced to 2-3megs, but upload speed remains the same...
My Network (displayed in the Device Manager) card is AR9485 of Qualcom Atheros 802.11b/g/n wifi adapter.
When I uninstall, Windows automatically detects and installs back. Internet high speed returns to normal, but after a few minutes or maybe 10 12 minutes speed drops back down, until the speed remains unchanged... I removed it 10 times, even tried to reinstall all the ralink drivers for win 8 or Win8.1, but Windows says I have the perfect driver and that it does not install anything else. I removed just in case antivirus, does not work. I checked the speed on the other computer - no problem there, but on my laptop it persists. On Windows 7, I didn't have this problem, it started after Win 8.1. If you could please help me fix. Thank you very much. Lives
OK, this is my last post on this topic because I think I solved the problem.
I thought it was Windows 8.1 to blame, but I finally installed Windows 7. Internet was excellent, but after I installed all the latest drivers of the site Web of AMD (Amd catalyst, video driver, etc.), down speed was limited to 2 to 2.5 Mbps.
I used the system restore and Internet working again. I decided to check again, and after that I installed again the pile of last softward to Amd, I had problem once again. Prolem is therefore up to the latest version of the AMD software. Do not know exacctly what part, perhaps things like AMD stream or similar. I also believe that this issue includes my modem that does not like to communicate with my computer that has these last things AMD.
Anyway, thanks for reading. My internet gives me full speed and I am happy with that. I just create a system restore point before updating to new drivers from the site Web of AMD. It's easy to go back. A big thanks to everyone! Lives

Wireless connection is slow after installing Windows 8.
upgrade to Windows 8 with digital download. Now, the wireless download speed reduced to a crawl - 38 Mbps about 1mbps. Download speed is about 2, 5-2, 8 which is what it is supposed to be. Download speed when connected via an ethernet cable is well, just at the moment where the use wireless. Downloaded drivers updated at Acer wireless lan, but nothing helps.
Help please. I've noticed it seems to be a common problem there and existed well before the official release of win 8
Original title: download wireless speed severely impaired after upgrade to windows 8
Hi guys
I had this problem too and the fix has been surprisingly easy for me. Here's what I did:
-Left click the Internet access icon at the bottom right (next to the audio icon), and then make a right click the wireless network, you're connected to and select "view the connection properties.
-In the Security tab of this window, click the encryption type drop-down list box and select "TKIP".-Press OK.I had read this as a suggestion in another thread and it worked :)My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L650, which has an Atheros wireless card.
I hope this helps. -
Windows Update 12/15/2010 causes a loss of internet connectivity
After you perform the update 12-15 and rebooted the computer creates a loss of internet connectivity on our HP Pavilion (Windows 7). I confirmed this because I deleted updates and connectivity returns.
While this loss of connection the network and sharing Center shows that it is connected to the network and to the internet.
There were 10 updates total, for most updates of security, IE 8 1 update and an update of the malicious attack tool.
I disabled updates automatic for the moment, however really puzzled by this and don't find any problems in the database about it.
Ideas? Thank you!!
Hi BillHarsh,
You can manually download and install the updates one by one from the Microsoft Download Center & check if the problem persists.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

Updates 2478658 KB and KB2518864 could not install and cause a loss of internet connectivity
Hello
Updates KB2478658 and KB2518864 cannot be installed in my SBS 2003 and caused a loss of internet connectivity.
A while ago, I had a similar problem, i.e. do not install and loss of internet connectivity after you apply Windows Server 2003 SP2 on SBS. In this case, we have solved the problem with the support of a Customer Support person Microsoft, a service through which we paid.
According to the suggestions that I found in the Microsoft Web sites, I managed to remove everything that was installed by the KB2478658 and KB2518864 updates and the reinstalled successfully. I did these manually because I don't have an internet connection.
After you have reinstalled the above mentioned security updates, I repeated all the steps that led to the problem of the previous time. Among the steps taken, have been indicated in:
Common problems of networking after you apply Windows Server 2003 SP2 on SBS
2. 948496 an update to turn off default SNP features is available for Windows Server 2003 and Small Business Server 2003-based computers
http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB; EN-US; 948496
Unfortunately, I was unable to restore connectivity to the internet this time.
There is connection between the NETWORK card and router. I could ping the NIC IP address, but not that of the router (I get an "unreachable" message).
I look forward to suggestions and recommendations to solve this problem. I have already paid once resolved a problem that was not directly caused by me and do not wish to do it again.
Thanks in advance.

Hi JL,.Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums as it is related to a problem with small business server. It should be better in the Windows Server Forums of business.
Please post your question in the Windows Small Business Server Forums.

Loss of internet connection on windows Vista Enterprise edition
Hello
I have a very serious problem, started only last Monday, I was using my laptop to last more than three years and having a problem just last week about the loss of internet connection after an hour or two after restarting the laptop.
I thought that a virus could have an effect on this, so last night I reinstalled the operating system, but it does not work too. I connect to the internet via an ethernet to a motorola modem cable, do not know how to solve this problem now.
I searched through various sites and followed quite a few options but that did not help. Still have a problem, someone please answer as soon as POSSIBLE. I have a very important session the game and on Fri and it will be very costly if I can't then I would like to be back to normal as soon as POSSIBLE.
Go to the website of the manufacturer of your Modem > make sure you have the latest Firmware in Vista for it.
Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for it last network adapters Vista drivers > download/install the.
The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

Try without commitment TCP/IPv6:
If you still have internet connection probs, one thing to try is the separation of the TCP/IPv6 (which is done by going to network connection > right click > properties > it uncheck > OK.)

The fan runs super fast. HP Compaq dc5100 SFF
These days HP Compaq dc5100 SFF - or fans have aired the apparently fast fan speed.
Was full of dust (to the point of blocking the absorption on the front fan)
Used an AIR CAN blow the dust out with the lid open. We also had a blip of brief power in the last days - caused a stop down. And we have updated some business software. Has been restarted.
We have 3 more of the same model which are OK
Thanks for any help
The SFF dc5100 is notorious for bad capacitors on the motherboard. I had one where the fan ran at top speed all the time. There was a swollen capacitor located at the end of the PCI 1 connector. It seems C469. It's a 6.3 volt 1000uF cap. I replaced the capacitor and that fixes the problem. To keep the computer cool lengthens the service life of capacitors. It is wise of the dust periodically in order to cooling air flows. How always, once a capacitor going bad, the only solution is to replace it. A burned capacitor will be inflated. The flat top normally will be curved upwards and, possibly, a leak of a crispy Brown material.

Definitely looks like a problem with the network device. Check with sound

on known problems. If there is a control of the device shipped with the system
Manufacturer (manufacturer of motherboard for customized systems). If a device check separated
with the support of its creator and other resources. You could also remove or disable the device and try a new add-on as one

I seem to have a random loss of internet connection when performing character animator.
Look into this further. It seems not related to the animation of character since today, it seems to happen randomly when running a simple browser. I think that maybe it's just my old router is about to die. I deleted my DNS cache and renewed my IP address and reset my router, so I hope that's all it took. Otherwise, it may be time for a new router.

the problem is probably a combination of factors. Don't forget to check with
