  I am looking for Windows 7 64 bit driver for the following unknown device:

  I tried to install the HP driver sp63510.exe, so far without success...

  The installation process stops and I get the following error: "Setup failed to install one or more device drivers. The installation program will now stop. »

  I tried every single driver and the update of the firmware on the download page for the device specified... and now I feel like I'm on a dead-end road.

  Can someone tell me please in the right direction?

  Since the time I loaded win 7, (I have win 7 Professional, completely up to date, core 2 quad 2.40 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, 3 internal HDD seagate 1 TB at 7200 RPM, nvidia GE Force each 512 MB VRAM) I found that the driver PCI simple communication controller is missing and it shows an excalmation mark.   I had to restore a HP Compaq dx2300 format microtour Win XP system from the recovery partition.

  Everything seemed to work fine except no driver found for PCI Simple communication controller.

  There was no modem in Device Manager.

  I downloaded the driver for the modem on the HP website, but it will not identify / install the driver.

  Remains of the error. (no driver found for PCI Simple communication controller.)

  Any Suggestions?

  Your label says HP Expert 2014. I made a mistaken assumption that you were part of HP.

  I agree that it probably isn't a standard part of HP. I also looked at their specs and the database driver.
  I tried to use never version on the HP web site for their standard model for Agere 56 K PCI Modem driver. He did not consider it as one appropriate driver.

  However, I could only identify a compatible driver using a new pilot identifier utility (new to me at least).

  It seems to work.

  I think I'll keep it in my toolbox in the future.

  If it does not automatically install, manually install it to leave the device in Device Manager and navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file located in CWSetup\spXXXXX, where XXXXX is the number of the download folder.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

  Thanks that solved the problem of missing driver.

  Had to download off site due to firewall blocks FTP. But as an alternative would download flow anyway.
