  • HP compaq dc7700 minitowers: Microcode error: no evolutionary device drivers/no pass

I upgraded my HP compaq dc7700 Intel e6400 CPU (2.13 ghz, 1066 MHz front side bus) to the intel e6700 (3.2 ghz, 1066 MHz front side bus) and did a clean install of Windows 10 pro at first boot. I noticed that it gave an error, namely 1801: firmware does not support this CPU or something. I pressed f1 to continue installing Windows, my plan was to install the firmware update later. After Windows has started, I created a bootable USB to install the firmware of the HP drivers and software section. But when I tried to install the firmware update, it didn't work! I just typed in flashbin.exe, as shown in various posts on this forum. It gave this error: "error!" There is no valid drivers on media or three are no evolutionary device in this system. »
So I tried som other options at the start of the installation, three was something like: f8 to activate the increased processor, which basically is what I needed. But when trying to install flashbin.exe, he gave the same exact error, although I didn't have any options before I could type. See all: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q4eo8qqp49gohc9/IMG_20160227_153036.jpg?dl=0 (without pressing f8)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xw60pryzq30ta4q/IMG_20160227_155457.jpg?DL=0 (with pressing f8, I selected Yes everywhere)

Do I need additional drivers? GPU, mouse, headset, everything worked without having to download anything extra!

If you were able to get to a command prompt and had copied the contents of the firmware flash folder on the drive back, so you could get to a command prompt and run flashbin.exe, then it shouldn't matter.

I helped that another Member of the forum for 3 days to finally get her to work on his dc5700 E7200 (uses the same firmware as the 7700 update).

Here is the discussion.  The firmware update worked after he reinstalled the original processor.

I don't know if this procedure works on the Wolfdale E6700.

It does for all the Wolfdale E7200-E7600.

No one has ever posted this problem with the Wolfdale E6700, then you are the first I know to try to pass by this.

  • HP Compaq dc7700 SFF PC can be upgraded to support a 2.66 GHz Intel Core2Duo (E7300) processor?

My HP Compaq dc7700 desktop PC small form factor is equipped with a processor replacement of Intel Core2Duo 2.66 GHz (E7300), Stepping/CPU ID 10676, but I now have a start-up error message: "1801 - Microcode patch error.»  Missing or not valid processor updated Microcode.  "Please contact Hewlett - Packard Company for a new firmware update to support the new processor Stepping.

(The computer start in pressing 'F1', but performance deteriorated due to invalid processor Microcode Update).

I sent to HP, but have yet to receive an answer.   (They may have bigger problems right now!)

The HP documentation for the dc7700 is ambiguous about whether if an E7300 processor would be sustained.  In this regard, the documentation recommends against editing processors more than 95W, but the E7300 is only a 65W processor (exactly the same as the original processor E6300).

I've updated the PC system BIOS (786E1, Rev 1.16, the most recent available on the HP relevant support Web page):

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en & cc = us & prodNameId = 3232108 &...

"(mais malheureusement, il semble que Rev 1.16 n'inclut pas une mise à jour de Microcode valide pour le processeur E7300)."

It seems that I may need to wait and hope that HP will issue a valid and new Update Microcode for the E7300 dc7700 support page.  (With luck, the update of firmware would be included in an update of the BIOS which can be implemented through the windows, not via a legacy floppy!)

(I note that Intel provides an easy firmware update, but it is not easy for those who are running a Linux Enterprise operating system.  I am running Windows Vista Business 64-bit).

This is my first post.  Thanks for all the tips on the problem that I outlined above.

    Thank you Paul and Frank,

The evidence you presented against compatibility has begun to address substantial.

Furthermore, it is probably not conclusive in itself, but Intel motherboards with a chipset Q965 (at least the names of the Council containing the string '965') also do not appear to support beyond E6700 processors...

    http://processormatch.Intel.com/COMPDB/SearchResult.aspx?BoardName=DG965SS

I'd be happy to call my request 'resolved' - has answered in the negative.   Thanks again and well done! to each of you.

    With gratitude,

  • Compaq DC7700 CMT: Power supply Assembly for dc7700 cmt

I got a HP Compaq DC7700 CMT (convertible minitower) and want to install my XFX XT power supply in it series.

It seems that the holes for the screws may be different. No power supply is available for the side by side comparison.

    If anyone can check that?

and, is it possible to install a "standard atx" PSU in this dc7700.

If Yes, what should be done.

The XFX PSU adapts physically, and it seems that the connectors on the motherboard are all compatible.

My only concern right now is if the new XFX PSU moved to the back of the tower.

I count on the installation of a hard disk with Windows7 on it, two spare HARD drive as the network maps and graphs updated

Your correct, the PSU do not line up.

What has been done in the past, it is what is in the photo. You just made an adapter plate.

Be aware that only the Legacy graphics cards will work.

  • HP compaq dc7700 minitowers: BIOS update exe does not work

I have the HP compaq dc7700 with mother 0a58h HP. I currently have the installed Intel e6400 CPU, but I have the Intel core 2 quad q9550 carrying around and based on the official list of HP upgrade that must be supported. So I put it (it was on the right track) but the only thing I got was 9 beeps of equal length. So I thought it was just that the BIOS update. I went to the drivers/software section and downloaded the update of the BIOS (from 01.15 to 4.02 or something). So I followed the instructions and extract the file. Then I opende the flash.pw file but it does not open! He repeated to me that I need the 32-bit or 64-bit version. I have 64 bit. I tried both and did not work. I downgraded to Windows 7 and did not work.

But then, I thought the q9550 CPU uses 95W but the e6400 only 65W, but there should be no problem because he has on some power just do nothing I guess.

Maybe I need to put it on a USB key?

    Please help me. Thank you

    Hello:

The Q9550 is not certainly supported in the dc7700.

The dc7700 won't work any processor with a FSB of 1333 MHz.

The best you can do in this machine is the E7600, and he needs a 3rd party program until the multiplier.

I've heard stories that someone installed the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 (2.66 GHz, 8 MB L2 cache, 1066 MHz FSB)

Here's the problem with the file you are trying to install.

This is a BIOS utility, not a BIOS update...

The drivers have been completely erased from the HP support site.

HP have a major problem with good number of pilots for hundreds of business PC.

I don't know how they're going to solve this problem, but they have better.

It's been weeks that these drivers have disappeared.

I reported the problem 2 weeks ago and all they told me is that they are aware of the problem.

    Hello:

When you download the BIOS file that is run, and the first thing that will pop up is a set of web page - and the instructions for all the BIOS flash methods.

I like the easy way to format a USB drive in the file system FAT 32, copy the contents of the flash BACK to the usb flash drive folder, plug the flash drive on the PC, start PC, tapping on F10 key to access the BIOS at the beginning of the HP welcome screen and using the 'Flash ROM system' menu in the BIOS.

    Thank you.

    You are the very welcome.

This is why I suggested that you manually install the driver if the automatic installation method does not work.

Certainly this is the driver you need, and there is no version of Windows 7 from this one.

I gave this driver to dozens of members of the forum and it worked for them in W7, W8, and W8.1.

I am also sad to announce that, for some members of the forum for a reason you can that will allow the driver to install and to do this, I don't know why the same driver runs on the same computer for some and not for others.

Here's a partial copy and paste the contents of the driver installation information file.  As you can see, the hardware ID you posted is supported by this driver.

; - Manufacturer and models Sections.

    [Manufacturer]

If you don't know how to manually install a driver, here's how...

Go to Device Manager and click on the controller Comms Simple IBOS who need pilots.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34743.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and I hope that the driver will be installed.

If this does not work, then the only other suggestion I can offer is to try the driver directly from Intel.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/11559/AMT-Intel-AMT-Sol-driver-for-965-chipset-based-Intel-Desktop-Boards

If this does not work either, unfortunately, you will be one of these people where you have to live with this uninstalled device.

This device has no effect on the functionality of your computer if it is not part of a corporate network where things can be done to manage the remote PC.

If you use it as a PC at home, except the frustration of not having a 'clean' Device Manager, you will be fine.

  • On 2350dn 900.57 firmware error

I get a 900.57 firmware error code on my Dell 2350dn printer lately. I searched Dell support and found an update of the firmware Urgent that supposedly solves the error of 900.57, but this update was for a 2330dn and not 2350. There is no update of the firmware available for the 2350. The update of 2330 will work with my printer? This has been an annoying problem for about a month now.

    Thank you.

Yes the 2330 drivers and firmware should work perfectly for the 2350dn printer. In addition, the error of 900.57 is specific to the driver you are using. I think it's a mistake PCL and the 900.43 is a PS driver error. Try changing the driver to the Open Dell print or just try to swap between PCL and PS Si firmware does not help.

  • HP compaq dc7600 new CPU arrives with firmware error

I have the computer says in the title and it came with a pentium 4 cpu which is GHz. I have a p4 GHz cpu, which is the same socket and according to the website of hp, it is compatible.

When I try to start the computer it comes up with an error message saying it needs a firmware update.

I looked at the bios update but I don't really understand how it works.

If someone could explain how to fix this error and or update the bios that would be great.

    Hello:

You may need to install the latest firmware update.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & cc = us & prodTypeId = 12454 & prodSeriesId = 472276 & swItem = PSG_I23753-109013 & prodNameId = 472278 & swEnvOID = 1093 & swLang = 13 & taskId = 135 & mode = 3

Read the instructions on how to install it.  You need a bootable USB key to do.

Read these instructions on how to make a bootable flash drive and then copy the contents of the flash file to him BACK after making the bootable disc.

  • PXI 7330 download firmware error

I connected a PXI 7330 Motion control card.  Then I tried to download the new firmware / make sure that the connection worked.  I followed the instructions on how to do it from the Start Guide it came with.  I opened measurement and automation.  Expanded devices and Interfaces, so NEITHER Motion devices.  Choose the 7330 motion controller.  Click the firmware tab.  Click update firmware.

However, I got an error saying that the device needs to be reset.

How can I put the reboot appliance?

When I chose the 7330 motion controller under hardware OR movement, I noticed she had a red x on it.  That probably shouldn't be there, but I don't know how to get rid of it.

It turns out that all I had to do was click the 'Reset Device' button in the status tab, located next to the firmware tab.

I called the help line OR to get the answer.  I had the latest drivers of movement OR installed.
