• X 360 spectrum (4110dx): reverse the scrolling is not consistent throughout the BONE

  I just got my X 360 spectrum and I have two reverse scrolling issues:

  1 scrolling on the Touchpad does not always work. I found the option to turn it off (when I slide down, I want the screen to do the same thing), but it works only in some applications, like Google Chrome, but not in the settings or Windows store. Is it possible to get this to be consistent in all of everything?

  2. in addition, it resets after that I restarted my computer. My choice can be set to a default value?

  Try the following.

  First, download the installer of the Synaptics driver from the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72501-73000/sp72919.exe

  Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  When windows has reloaded, hold down the Windows key and press R

  In the run box, type regedit and press enter

  In the registry editor, navigate to the following

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

  Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

  If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

  Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

  Close the registry editor.

  Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

  Check the status of your warranty here.

  The problem could be distribution\charging of power on the motherboard or circuits devices of transfer of energy heat pipe fan & heat.  Capacitors that fail may make squeaking noises.

  Sorry, but you can't do what you want to do.

  To create HP recovery media, you must have the intact recovery partition and it must contain the compressed image of the operating system.

  When you did the upgrade of Win10, he corrupted recovery HP information whereas now, it will not work.

  If you now want a recovery media, you need to use a third-party utility known as Macrium Reflect.

  Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together: http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

  (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
  (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
  (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key
  
  My experience is that SIR, when you use the option of Compression high, typically allows to compress the image file recorded at about 50% of the space USED in the OS partition.  This means that if you have a 40GB and 80GB OS partition is used, MR must only about 20 GB to store the image file.
  
  I use all the time and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to make the backup of the image and at the same time or less do a restore.
  
  In addition, MR has the ability to add a recovery Boot Menu entry.  This then allows you to boot into Windows re, and then you can use it to do a restore - when you cannot start Windows!
  
  NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

  I had my Hp x 360 during Ghost almost a year. Recently, when my battery reaches 8%, the screen goes to sleep, and I have to plug in to use it. I did a test of battery check and he said everything was fine. I let my battery run down completely to zero tiimes some, but recently it shuts at 8%. any suggestions?

  I did some research online and you have described, my computer went into hibernation to 8 percent.  I tried to change the critical battery action parameters in order to have the screen off to 1% instead of 8%, but it won't let me. I thought it was weird because I've had the computer for a year now, and just recently he started it. • X 360: 10 screen Auto Rotation spectrum not working/Option Windows is not visible or available

  OK I found the solution; Go to control panel > display > Change display settings then make sure that the "allow the screen to auto-rotation" is selected. It worked well for me

  Help! I gave my computer a little in back and never bothered to fix it. The screen is cracked and it won't pass in mode code flashes and I don't really know if it's the fact that the screen is dysfunctional is not let the computer start or if it's something else.   Support of screens HiDPI (which is a resolution of 2560 x 1440) has been added to Acrobat DC.

  Like almost everything that you want to debug the phenomena. I know that you have not officially support linux on this computer, but it would be fun to be at least compatible linux.

  Thing I know:

  There was a bug that really resemble this one on the Dell XPS 13. The bug was in the bios that was setting his alternative map that did not work. In my opinion, is the same thing here. I need to find a way to tell the bios to load everything as if it's windows 8.1 (Yes, I just don't ask for any special treatment.)

  Change grub config by:

  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT = "quiet splash acpi_backlight = vendor = acpi_osi'!" Windows 2013 'acpi_osi ='! Windows 2012' "

  Then run:

  'sudo update-grub ".

  Restart twice.

  BOOM! The sound works in the headphones. The sound card is now in mode HDA (not I2S).

  To confirm, run:

  "aplay-l" and make sure that you have the following in the output:

  "map 1: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: analog ALC3242 [analog ALC3242].
  Subdevices: 0/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 '

  I use the Linux kernel spectrum 3.19.0 - 21-generic #21 - Ubixuntu SMP on Ubuntu x 64.

  I recently bought the spectrum x 360 (13-4003dx) as well as the feeling of Bamboo Stylus carbon. Unforunately, the stylus was not compatiable with the spectrum, and I had to return it (after reaching the customer on their support).

  I still want a pen/stylus active for my Spectre to take accurate notes with OneNote and I want to know what stylus/pen are compatibile with spectrum (for example if the HP Active Pen J4R51AA #ABL is compatiable).

• X 360 spectrum: spectrum x 360 battery life

  The battery life on the spectrum of x 360 that I just received is absolutely terrible. Run the default installation of Windows, I am lucky to get 4 hours of battery life using the powerplan recommended HP while browsing the internet on a stable WiFi network with the brightness of the screen the absolute minimum. Is that what I can do to fix this or my best bet would be to contact HP directly? I bought this laptop only based on claims he could get up to 12 hours on the battery and the fact that I have the chance to see one third of that is appalling.

• Pavilion X 360: x 360 black screen battery

  I have disconected battery maintained the power button and when I started the PC without the battery connected to the screen worked. After I turned off the PC and reconnected the battery, the screen was black again.  So I reset it again a moment the screen works, but I must have tha connected PC and the battery disconnected.

  Is this a problem with the battery, the motherboard or something else?  If I replace the battery it will wok again?

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion laptop x 360 PC and problems with the battery. I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings.

  Here is something you can try:

  Step 1. Go to the Device Manager
  Step 2. Select the stacks
  Step 3. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
  Step 4. Click on uninstall
  Step 5. At the command prompt, put a checkmark in the box to remove the current driver
  Step 6. Shut down the computer
  Step 7. Installation of back in the stack.
  Step 8. Go to the Device Manager
  Step 9. Select the stacks
  Step 10. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
  Step 11. Click "automatically search for an updated driver.

  I hope this helps you. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop. I recommend adding 2 or 3 days before, it happened.

  When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

  new spectrum X 360, keyboard turns off when the form is opened in laptop mode and the keyboard when the screen is folded into tablet mode.

  This happens even if the bios (f10) or diagnostics (f2).

  Is there a way to reset the status of the keyboard depending on the angle of the screen or the orientation of the computer?

  Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  If you encounter a problem connecting with the keyboard with your spectrum, it will be a hardware problem.  This happens because the corrector does not have a good enough connection.

  I don't know what other options of brand you have, but Dell offer an active stylus that works well with this laptop.

  The 750-AAGN or similar named stylus is compatible. According to some critics, it is also more reactive than the pen of HP.

  I have a Dell pen (but haven't tried the HP) and I can say that it works very well indeed. The function of the buttons correctly with certain applications (such as the Windows app store OneNote version) but not others (such as the desktop version of OneNote). I also found that the battery life of the pen is pretty poor, needs to be replaced after one month of use. In the contrary case, it really makes mode Tablet much more useful and interesting.
