HP D4360 printer - alignment problem?

My watch of the half cut letters (upper half), Headline is not yet printed on the page, a clear text than the rest of the text,

white line crosses SOME of the lines of text, page #s top (right) not printed.

Note: I have a new cartridge it works fine.

Note: I had a paper jam the other day, out of paper on the other side (did not know that I should open a backdoor to do). But, I

think I got an OK impression after that happened.  Today, printing problems. Help please!

It's sunshyn2005 - thank you for your information. In fact, it is not a matter of color.  It was really the alignment.  I received instruction from someone on the spot - to go to start/printers-devices/preferences/services/then click the ALIGNMENT tab, which produced a sheet printed diagnostic, I then completed in the screen.  Had to re - align 3 times to get it perfect, but it worked.

Thanks for your suggestion, the page that came on the colors and other things I have bookmark for playback if/when other problems arise.

Thanks for your comments.

  • CP1525NW 2 sides print alignment Page problems

    Hi all.

    I recently "upgraded" color laserjet CP1215, in a CP1525NW.

Many images color 2 faces (dvd booklet) removable, to print on 32lb Hammermill Color Laser glossy (using the Type of paper for HP Glossy presentation).

Aside from the occasional minor skew, the old CP1215 was enough spot - one when he came 2-sided printing.

    The new CP1525NW... isn't.

Now, the book images are technically landscape, but because the printer feeds the paper in a portrait orientation, I will be describing the portrait SEO problem.

When printing images, they are set to be centered on the page.

However, when it actually prints, the margin (the first edge coming out of the printer) superior of the printed side is clearly superior to the bottom margin.  So the images on each side do not align correctly... pretty much a difference 0.25 "or so.  Left and right margins seem perfect, give-or-take the usual teensy bit of obliquity.

I printed more than enough to know that this alignment is 100% compatible, even on different types of paper and different software.

It seems to me that he is clearly a hardware or driver problem.

Possible workaround I tried turning one of my images before printing, so that I must return the orientation of page around before recharge of the sheet.  This actually fixes the alignment of up/down (and also just confirmed the consistency of the problem)... BUT... It also showed that the left/right alignment was not as centered as it appeared.  The difference does not seem to be * very * bigger than up and down, but is pretty close to the same thing.

I tried to dig through the properties of the printer, the Toolbox... and I can't find anything that will allow me to adjust the alignment page...

I was pleased with the quality of overall impression on this model, but if can't solve this alignment problem fairly quickly, this thing will eventually be returned to anything else.

    EDIT:

Failed to include any other info on my system.

This forum works on Windows XP SP3.

The main source of print is Adobe Acrobat, but the problem occurs with everything I print since.

After having worked with chat support technicians online this weekend thanks to this, I got an email today, which suggests that the use of the print driver PCL more-up-to-date, rather than specific to the model 1 + years driver universal, should solve the problem of alignment.

Unfortunately, although I strongly suspect that this can indeed solve this problem, I was unable to confirm this.

My specific situation really need a more immediate solution - as well as the availability of a decent policy hassle [back - I've already turned the printer on the place of purchase and exchanged for a product not HP that could meet the current needs.]

That being said, I am still very fond of HP products, and I was very pleased with the overall quality of this specific printer, without the duplex alignment problem.

I have no doubt that this printer will cross my path again in the near future.

  • HP Deskjet D4360 printer

Help!  HP Deskjet D4360 printer is practically new out of the box - probably printed a dozen copies to date.  Ink cartridges are genuine HP and also almost brand new.  The printer has been used for a few months, which has never been a problem w / my previous 4360.

Initially "printing" white pages; re-installed the software and provided a sample page in various shades of blue, with the "20" in the almost invisible centre.

I cleaned and re - clean cartridges (basic and intermediate); aligned and re-aligned; calibrated and calibrated; primed and re-primed - to no avail.  With printing alignment, I'm not able to determine any # s in order to answer the questions about the visible lines least.

Undertook to research further and was guided on how to print a 'diagnostic' page - the printer chatters and click on that it will do something, but nothing.  The instructions give no indication of how long to press the power & Cancel buttons, so from different eras have been tried.

Also turned the printer off and restarted it about half an hour later--had no effect.

I need to use this printer today - any of you experts can help me?

Have you tried to install new cartridges?

  • HP C5180: Printer color problems

I have a HP C5180 printer and printing color is messed up. My black watch diagnosis page than black, yellow-green with yellow strips, Lt Cyan shows as a dark cyan, cyan is white, Lt Magenta is dark blue, Magenta is Lt. blue. Anyone know how to fix this... I changed the printer cartirdges... the same problem. I cleaned the print heads. several times and followed the suggestions on the tech support pages. I would not only use this printer as a black and white printer.

    Hey @TomTwist,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today to solve print quality problems you are having with your HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-One Printer. Because you have already replaced the ink cartridges and clean the printhead several times nothing is done, there is a good chance to have a defective print head. The print head is what reads the cartridge and puts ink on the page. On your print head template system is a non-replaceable part. Therefore, should that do not pass part a replacement of the entire unit would be necessary. However, I would like to go through the following steps to conveniently solve this problem of quality.

I won't make you run any printhead more clean. The rule is usually 2 or 3 clean makes no difference at all, don't make a fourth because when you clean the printhead system it uses ink in order to rinse the ink system. If 2 or 3 clean make no difference that you're just wasting if you run a clean more.

    Step 1: Calibrate the colors:

    1. open the printer Toolbox: HP Solution Center. This should be on the desktop of your computer.

    2. If you have more than one printer installed, be sure to select the correct printer tab in the HP Solution Center

    3. click on settings

    4. click on print settings.

    5. click on printer Toolbox.

    6. on the device Services tab, click color to calibrate, and then follow the instructions on the screen. The procedure takes about two minutes and requires two sheets of paper.

Source: The printed colors are not colors should

If the problem persists, please continue to the next step.

Step 2: Align the print head:

    1. click on HP Solution Center's on your desktop

    2. click on settings.

    3. click on print settings

    4. click on printer Toolbox.

    5. on the tab Services of device the printer, Toolbox, click align the print cartridges, and then follow the instructions on the screen.

Source: Streaks or lines in the printed Image

Please test print once these two steps have been taken. If the issue of quality still persists, because you have already replaced your cartridges the next step would be a replacement of the entire unit.

If you want to explore additional options available for your printer, I suggest you contact the Technical Support queue by phone.

    Hello

HP has no guarantee that 3rd party supplies will work in our printers. Looking at the Diagnostics pages it seems that you are not printing cyan or yellow. There are steps you can take to try to retrieve not being able to print individual colors. Please see this link:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02045945

If you cannot print all colors, you run into a problem to scan the alignment page. I think that the question of printing color must be cleared before attempting to align again. How to perform an alignment, please visit this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02045945

  • C310 HP All in One: black cartridge won't print; Alignment failed

Printer works perfectly, as usual.  Rec'd notice to update the drivers of HP software; has done, and suddenly black ink does not print at all.  Done all the troubleshooting steps: test page printed. print the Diagnostics page.  Align the print cartridges.  Cleaned print heads.  Although the cartridge has shown the more partial estimated ink level, replaced by the new HP black ink cartridge.  Still not printing black ink.

Print uninstalled and reinstalled the software.  Tried everything above.  Has released a new cartridge and replaced with previous.  Also been clarified vents on both cartridges.  It is not that black ink is smudged on striated, it's as if there is no cartridge at all.  I also checked to make sure that the printer is not set to print grayscale.  It is located in the color and Normal.  Changed for the better, still nothing.

HP Print and Scan Doctor initially show all correct.  The device status is now red X: Make sure cartridges and printheads are correct or your printer.  All are genuine HP cartridges.  Now I get a message on the printer alignment failed.  Is it possible that this is related to the update printer drivers?  I have never had a printer HP fail before.  Have at least six of them.  I do not use the printer a lot it should be worn.  In addition, it printed fine until what I've updated the drivers.

Advice on what to try next? Thank you.

    Hello

The only troubleshooting steps to run is clean print head.

Make sure that you perform print head cleaning for at least 3 times.

If the problem persists, then the print head must be replaced.

You need to call HP Technical Support to get help to get the printhead replaced.

  • Why print alignment page every time you start?

Recently, my printer HP (Photosmart C3180) started printing a page of alignment every time that I turn it on. This seems to be a cynical way for HP to sell more ink, because my printer has no alignment problem. The alignment page wasting my paper, waste a ton of ink I have to pay for and wasting my wait time to perform another task, deal with the sheet of waste and waste time more often when I have to buy ink. I searched through all the instructions and installed Help topics and find nothing that even talking about alignment each time you start.

    Hello

Most probably the alignment page is printed on every reboot due the alignnment process is not entirely complete.

Try to complete the alignment process by following the steps below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01336397

Alignment must also contain black, yellow, Magenta and Cyan as the example below, any color missing due to the low or empty ink cartridge can cause the alignment to fail

  • 4632 HP Officejet printer: hp officejet 4632 printer stuck printing alignment page

Help please.  My printer is stuck trying to print an alignment page.  I can't scan or copy anything to the printer.  I tried unplugging the printer with power, has waited more than a minute, reconnected and it did not help.

I tried the scan doctor and she also did not help - Alternatively found printer was 'busy', or scan doctor tried to print an alignment first page and is stuck there. If I "jump" impression of the alighment with doctor to scan page, it prints a test page, it finds everything works "ok." "" "." Print alignment page"bypasses to jump the"print alignment page"printing, and yet the screen of the printer still says 'now printing alignment page', is stuck and I can't always copy or scan anything from the printer.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions I tried to solve this problem for several weeks.  Thank you.

I think I've just fixed this problem after 3 weeks.  I actually tried the doctor print because it seemed to be a printing problem.  I just tried the scan doctor, he finds problems, led me through steps and printing and scanning seem to work now.  Phew!  That took much too long to fix, but glad it works again.

  • J4580 print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to the device Documentation

Well, I'm starting to feel like I knew better, buy another HP printer after dismal luck with two all-in-one before.

My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more months of use.

The unit refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is always 90% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

I tried the ubiquitous "clean the contacts" and other instructions help generic that I saw, but those who were without help.  The "Solution Center (Yes, good)" appears and all ithas is a link to buy more ink (!).

Someone has an idea?  I'm about to throw it through the window of stores office, given that I can't throw it out the window of HP.

    Thank you!

Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia player, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this error - touch wood.
