  • HP printer fails on network until the power is recycled

This HP printer fails to start on my home network, until the power to the printer is recycled.  It is a 2200 with 610n network HP JetDirect J4169A card model and the current version of the firmware (L.25.57).  When the XP - Pro computer is started, and then the printer is turned on, the printer is not recognized.  Nothing is displayed when we sail to http://192.168.x.xx at HQ to the printer is turned off and then, the printer works normally, and the http://192.168.x.xx page is normal.

I put the IP address of the printer and for each computer on the home network with 'IP configuration manual method' to 192.168.x.xx recognized once on the network that the printer does not print normally.

The series of events is the following: computer XP - Pro and network router work normally.  I turn on the printer for the first time.  The printer is not recognized.  Using Internet EXPLORER 7 and tempting to commit to http://192.168.x.xx produce an error message.  I switch off the power to the HP printer.  I turn on the power.  Then navigate to the http://192.168.x.xx , I get the familiar screens showing details of the printer.  I am able to modify them if necessary.  The printer seems to work normally.

I just need the printer to start normally the first AC power is on.

A user on the forum Fixya said: "looks like the Jet Direct card is faulty." Replace it. "This solution worked. I understand not there is not a way to run diagnostics on a 610n to determine whether there is in the plug. I did buy a used card and find that it works OK. I'll avoid the upgrade of the firmware since firmware in place on the 2nd map starts OK each time the printer is on, and it seems that there are no additional problems with printing.

  • Designjet 110plus mac OS 10.9.3

I can't get my 110plus print Mac OS 10.9.3. The window defaults to USE 'Generic PCL Printer'.

In the configuration of the printer, I don't see a driver for 110plus nr, but I do not see "hp designjet 130nr. If I set up a printer that is named "HP designjet 110plus (C7796D)" and choose to USE 130nr then, so far, the printer looks like printing normally. Is this a good solution or there at - it problems on the road?

HP will be issueing a update driver 110plus 10.9.3 and same 10.10 Yosemite over time?

    Thank you

    Hello

The last driver that was released for mac was for OS 10.8.

I don't think that there will be an update of the driver.

What you can do is download the driver Package Apple on your mac and install the printer in the same way that you do.

The use of the driver for the 130 is a good workaround, you shouldn't have any problems with it

You can still use the old drivers on the new os.

    Hi all

    Fixed a problem.

It turns out the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Providers must be cleaned too - delete all subkeys (and their values) EXCLUDES the Internet Provider LanMan Print Services and printing keys (and their values).  A reboot is required.

Hope it will be useful for people who have this problem in the future.

Thanks for these folks spend their time to respond or read my question.

    See you soon,.

OfficeJet k5400 prints then all the lights light up yellow, power down then turn on printer resets loan. It's all new HP Officejet pro 8000 to had the power to issue even down to reset.

Looks like the power module is out. It's the black brick in the power cord. The only way to replace it is to contact HP, but before you do that, try to reset the module. The document following the link will guide you through it. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

Computer memory virtual is increased from 6 to 8 GB and now vm fails to power on with the error massage not enough resources to meet the HA failover, attached screenshot

The message is usually due to the Admission HA and reservations control configuration memory set on one or more virtual machines. With the default configuration HA calculates the sizes of slot based on the memory and CPU. Any reserve on a virtual machine could increase the size of the slot and lead to fewer available seats. What you can do is either to reduce (or eliminate) reservations about the VM (s) or set admission control to a percentage rather than the host failures tolerated.

  • Problem with the HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer: clean the print heads each time it is turned on

    Hello everyone,

the printer HP all-in-one Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a - product n. CB022A) clean the print heads whenever I turn it on. This problem affects any HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, it is not a problem only of this one I bought. It is a boring bug and annoying because each power clean print heads on involves two bad disadvantages:

    1. waste of ink (each heads cleaning process consumes little ink);
    2. too much time (2-3 minutes) to prepare the printer after plugging.

I upgraded my printer with the latest firmware available on the HP site (firmware ver. DLM1FN1006BR), but the bug is still present.

    At this point, I ask:

    1. There is a way (or procedure) to disable automatic cleaning this useless to all power on?
    2. Can we communicate with the HP engineers or tell me how to contact directly one of them to indicate the bug and request a new firmware updated?

Please don't tell me to leave the printer on all the time or that the printheads to each cleaning power is normal behavior! Where then are power and ink savings claimed for this printer model?

I hope that a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance to everyone will help me!

Maintenance when the printer is turned on is normal and is required to keep the printheads in good health (not blocked). See here for more information.

With respect to energy savings, the printer automatically goes to low power mode when the don't feel not for awhile.  It is not necessary turn the unit on to save energy.

  • printer 1815n lazer said paper when there is paper in the tray, how to fix

I don't know what has changed, the printer was working fine and then started saying out of paper. I tried to put more paper, less paper, to take it in and out of the status bar.  Turn on the printer and restarting. I'm not savy with this printer, I recently bought, 2nd hand. Can anyone give me a suggestion, what else to try?

    Hello

This happens to you while I try to print a file in particular?

Step 1: Check the media and print settings

    1. when the printer is turned on, remove the power cord at the back of the printer, wait 30 seconds and then connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

    2. If the printer is not already on, turn it on by pressing the power button.

    3. replace any paper that is torn, dusty, wrinkled or folded. If the paper is curved, sketching paper, folding gently in the opposite direction of the one who rolls up or replace the paper.

    NOTE:

Use plain paper in the unit until the problem is resolved.

    4. check that all the papers are the same size and type.

    5. press on the stack of paper on a flat surface to align the edges.

    6. check that the stack of paper to load into the device contains between 10 and 25 sheets of paper.

    NOTE:

Do not load too much paper into the printer.

    7. Insert the stack of paper into the printer and then gently push the paper guides comfortably against the paper.

    8. set the paper settings in the print driver. The paper in the printer driver settings must match the paper settings for at least one of the installed paper trays.

    a. open a document in the application in which it was created.

    b. click on file.

    c. click print.

    d. click on Properties. The printer properties dialog box displays.

    e. click on the paper/quality tab.

    f. in the drop is size , select the size of paper loaded in the device.

    g. in the drop type , select the type of paper loaded in the device.

    h. click OK.

    NOTE:

These changes do not change the default print settings. The print settings will revert to the default print settings the next time the application is opened.

    9. in the print dialogue box, click OK to print the document.

    10. try to print again. If the problem persists, continue with the next section.

    NOTE:

If the problem is resolved and you want to print on a different type of media, change the paper in the unit and repeat steps 2 to 7 for new media.

    Step 2: Clean the rollers

    1. turn off the product and unplug the power cord.

    2. open the access door for access to the rollers. According to the model, this is usually the rear access door. See the user guide for more information on the location of the rollers.

    3. clean the rubber with a non fluffy cloth rolls, slightly impregnated with water.

    NOTE:

Distilled, filtered or bottled water is recommended for cleaning the rollers. The tap water may contain contaminants that can damage the rollers.

    4. make sure that the rolls of paper based on the feeder, which lie behind the reels back, is cleaned. A cotton swab slightly moistened with water, may be necessary to achieve these rolls.

    5. close the access door and plug the power supply cord.

    6. try to print again. If the problem is not resolved, continue to the next step.

    Step 3: Repair the unit

If you have followed all the steps and you are still experiencing a problem, service your product.

    Cause

One of the following problems may cause the error message:

    ·    The paper is curved.

    ·    The printing side, or shiny side, the paper is not loaded in the feeder upside down.

    ·    The paper can not be engaged with the feed rollers.

    ·    The width of the paper guide is adjusted too tightly against the stack of paper.

    ·    The paper tray is not completely inserted in the product.

    ·    The paper in the printer driver settings do not match the paper loaded in the paper tray.

    ·    The driving rubber rollers are covered with dust.

NOTE: You can also contact the manufacturer of the printer as it can also be a problem with the printer settings.

Step 4: Turn off bidirectional printing and search for the issue.

    Here's how:

    a. click the Start button > click on Printers and faxes.
    b. right-click on the printer icon, then select printer properties.
    (c) in the Properties window, click the Ports tab.
    d. clear the check box for enable bidirectional support.
    e. click on the OK button.

  • My printer is configured to start when the computer turns on. I want to reconfigure it so that it does not turn

My printer is configured to start when the computer turns on.  I want to reconfigure it so that it won't turn.  I know this is probably a simple change, but I can't find the path anywhere.  Any help?

I guess you do NOT mean that you have both printer and computer plugged into the same power strip and both are turn on when you turn on the power strip.

As nearly as I can determine the rather thin material in the Guide for the Dell P713w user, probably have enabled "Eco-Mode" or the mode 'sleep '.  See page 19 of the User Guide (if you don't have it, download it here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/PRN_P713w/en/index.htm).

When this feature is enabled, the printer goes into mode low power when it has been idle for a while.  When the computer is off, the printer is by definition inactive and so will go to low power, shortly after that the computer is turned off.  When the computer is turned on, it detects the presence of the printer and connects to the printer.  Apparently, the printer interprets this string as the "no-idle" and out of his low-power mode, which appears as if it is "turn on."

In addition, this printer performs an automatic maintenance cycle every week if it is plugged into a power outlet. It will briefly exit Power Saver mode or turn on temporarily if it is disabled.

At least one of the lights on the printer flashes power on and off when you think that the printer is turned off?  If so, it is in energy saving mode.

Of course, I may be totally wrong, but it seems to me if you actually turn off the printer by pressing the button on / off on screen, he should not be able to auto (except once / week maintenance cycle).  From the Manual:

Note: When the printer is turned on, press [power] to switch to the power saving mode. Press and hold [power] for 3 seconds to turn off the printer.

  • F4580 printer keeps saying 'in paper' when paper present

Hi @myk249 and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you are having problems of flow.  I would like to help!

I recommend you to perform a power reset the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I also suggest this paper on a "Paper jam" message for HP Officejet.  Even if the document indicates paper jam, the steps should help solve this problem.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
