HP Deskjet 3054: printers

When you attempt to print a photo from my pc with this printer to the overview of the stage picture it shows the real picture that will be printed for a fraction of a second, and then it shows a vision of negative research colorized image and what is printed. I tried a lot of different pictures, but the result is always the same. This problem is recent. I have no problem copying or scanning. I only use HP ink cartridges. The cartridges are new. Also, to a lesser extent, I've found that I have more option to view ink levels estimated in the software. Don't know why that has stopped working all of a sudden. The rest of the sotware options still work but not this option. Any info on how I could fix this would be greatly appreciated I want to throw this printer as most of its functions still work. If more info is needed please let me know. Thank you.

HI - does make a difference which SW that you print since (Photoshop, Paint, etc.).  The first thing I would do is try a different SW application to see if you get different results.  If the results are the same, to uninstall and reinstall the SW.  This looks like a problem any, as copying and digitization of SW still works fine.  Follow these instructions to uninstall.  If this does not resolve the issue, let me know and we will fix later.

Hope that helps.

    Hello

I'm having crazy questions my printer connected via a wireless network. My computer runs on OS X 10.9 Maverick and my printer is a HP Deskjet 3054. For some reason I can't connect through wireless. It works only when I have a USB plug my printer on my laptop. I have visited each page on this website and can not find an answer. There is no driver for it - I've updated all my software and there is not anything associated with HP. Help, please!

    Thank you.

    Hi taliataline

There is no software available yet for the maverick configure the wireless.

To get the IP address, you will need to connect to the network printers temporarily on the Mac.

Click the Airport on the Mac located in the upper right.
Click on the HP printer in the list. It takes a few minutes to connect and you
should get a solid blue light on the printer.
Then, print a configuration page to get the new IP address.
Type the IP address in the web browser's address bar to access the embedded Web server the
    printer.
Click the network tab, select Wireless and fill in the information.
    Apply the settings.
Then back to the airport icon and reconnect to your network.

The blue light on the printer is expected to remain strong.

Go to the Apple, system preferences, print and scan, click on the + button, select the printer, click the Add button.

Now try and print via the wireless network.

    I hope this helps.

  • Unable to find software or driver for HP Deskjet 3054

I really hope someone here can help me.  I use the HP Deskjet 3054 (-J610a), an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier, one a MacBook with OSX 10.7.5.  I downloaded all of the software available and updates from HP.  As I walked through the installation process, at the end he told me that I needed to set up a print to the printer queue and I could get the software to Apple for that.  So I clicked the button to say Yes and get the Apple software.  But whenever I do it (bunches of times) it tells me that Apple does not have the software, I need to get from HP.  But I can't find anything on the HP site that I have already downloaded.

Is there a driver or something I'm missing somewhere?  When I click on "software & drivers" link above and find my printer, it mentions what I already downloaded and nothing more.

I'm really stuck.  My printer does not print wireless or via the port USB until I find this software.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you very much

    Lori

If you still see problems after installing the package posted by Printdoc above you can also try the latest version of the complete software for your operating system:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=DJ-96583-8&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=219&product=5109847&sw_lang=

If none of those still fails with this error try resetting the printing system and then check for the difference:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Select Print & Scan.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

    Hello

    I have a printer HP Deskjet 3054 A and I'm on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3.

Today, while I try to print a document, the pages printed on paper crooked. I tried to use snap to the HP utility application, as well as the option on the printer, however when asked to scan the printed alignment page the printer says that the page cannot be detected.

Can someone help me with this problem. I got a scan the alignment page as an example of how my printer prints pages.

I solved the problem. A quarter fall into the paper tray of food and got stuck somewhere in the printer (enough that it fell over when I tried at first to know if something was stuck). The district fell while I was testing the printer with new paper.

    Thank you.

  • DeskJet 3054 ceased to connect to WiFi

DeskJet 3054 error 'not connected' comes after selecting the WPS option.  System used to work with WiFi under Maverick, but stopped with two changes: Comcast upgraded the router and update OSX.  HP support says that they do not have driver for OS x - 10.10 Yosemite... So what can I do to connect to the new WiFi network?

    Hey @dndutter,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with the resolution of the networking problem you are having with your all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 3054. Given that you have received a new Comcast router the wireless should be implemented new on your Deskjet to work with the new router. Because you get the message 'not connected' when you try the WPS option, it would seem that your new router does not support this configuration. After selecting the WPS button on the printer, the printer starts a timer that allows two minutes press the WPS button on your wireless router. If you do not have a WPS button on your router that unfortunately Comcast failed to provide you with a WPS capable router and you will need to connect wirelessly via a USB cable. This can also be problematic on your Mac OS X 10.10 operating system that you don't have the full feature software and drivers. The last Mac OS offered the full feature software and drivers for your product was Mac OS X 10.8.  Therefore, you will use the generic Apple update driver.

If you have a Windows PC or a Mac running 10.8 and underneath, you can run the Installation to feature full on this computer in order to put the printer in wireless via the USB connection. Once the printer is set up for wireless that simply add it to your operating system from Mac OS X 10.10 and you should have all the features. It should not be an option that you will need to do a wireless Ad-Hoc configuration.

How to install correctly on Mac OS X 10.10:

Note: Will need you a USB cable temporarily for this configuration.

    Step 1: Uninstall the drivers:

Just open printing & scanning under system preferences and make sure that your Deskjet does not appear in the print & Scan window. If this is the case, select the printer and (-) less out to remove it.

Step 2: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select Repair disk permissions

Step 3: Check the Apple updates:

Plug your USB cable from your Deskjet to your Mac.

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click Update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Restart your computer

    Step 4: Add the printer:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select Print & Scan - if your USB printer is not displayed as added in already click on the (+) plus sign to add the correct in driver.
    4. Now that the correct driver is added into your printer, you can connect wireless.

Unplug your USB cable again please

How Set up Ad Hoc Wireless:

    1. Select the button on the front panel of your printer wireless

    2. under the wireless menu, select settings

    3. under settings, select Enable Wireless

    4. once the wireless is enabled on your printer should be flashing the blue light

    5. Once your Mac choose your wireless icon. Under the list of available networks, you should see one similar to the one like the HP Photosmart which is circled in the image below. However, instead of Photosmart it will say HP Deskjet 3054.

    6. connect to the network that appears with your HP Deskjet 3054 inside.

    7. on your printer wireless light should go solid after a few minutes. At this point, you want to print a new Network Configuration report.

    1. On the control panel of the HP product, press the wireless button (). Wireless menu.

BTW, the "HP Scan and Capture" application allows to work perfectly.  Not sure why it isn't now.

    Hello

When changed the type of network to a USB connection? scanning HP and Capture app support network scanners, it does support a USB connected device:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03478505

In the HP Deskjet 3050 software select scan a Document or Photo and check if this can work...

If the same persists, unplug the USB, uninstall the HP Deskjet 3050 basic software drivers from programs and features, then download and reinstall the most comprehensive software features again.

If you prefer to continue to use the HP Scan application capture &, open the HP Deskjet 3050 software, click the utilities tab, click the printer installation software & and select Convert USB wireless to connect the printer to your network. then the Scan & Capture app should detect the scanner.

    Hello experts

DeskJet 3054 worked flawless for 2 years AT & T Uverse router with my MacBook Pro. I installed OSx Maverick and FINALLY changed my network to WPA to WEP, and... wireless on printer light flashes and the only way to set up the network to a printer wireless is WPS pin (router cannot do push button). All other devices are works fine on the router after change (phones, iPad, etc.).

I downloaded the latest updates for Maverick printer, added printer (USB), turned off all the elements (Mac, HP, router) and rebooted and went into the HP utility to try to set up the network. My camera is dimmed and the coils of the app and I can go further and set up a WiFi feature on printer.

The Test report of the said printer wireless network can not find the access point. SSID do not match, BUT cannot enter the printer to change the SSID to match

    Hi Abisar,

I understand that you have a Deskjet 3054 is no longer connected to your wireless network and since updating to OS X v10.9, you were unable to reconnect it to your new wireless network. I'd be happy to help you in this business.

The printer requires configuration USB wireless, which requires the HP software, and of course, we do not have that. To get your printer connected, just take a slightly different approach. Please follow the instructions in this post, be it resolved the problem for someone in a similar situation. Since you have a different printer, however, you will need to follow the instructions below to print a Network Configuration Page. To restore your Deskjet to its network by default if please press the wireless button (as you did for the configuration page) and then select settings, and then default settings.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • New Deskjet 3054 AIO will not print

Hello! I just got my new printer yesterday, and I for the life of me can't seem to print correctly.

Is the printer with that I have a problem my Deskjet 3054 AIO and I am working on a PC running Windows 7.

It printed the page alignment without problem and the fine prints when using Mircosoft Word 2003, but the problem comes when I try to print in other programs.

In Photoshop CS3, when I try to print something, it overwrites the preview image before printing and when I print it out it comes out tiny and confined to a corner of the page.

Also, when I try to print something from Mircosoft Office Picture Manager, the printer immediately gives me the message "error - printing".

Help, please! And thank you for your time!

    D

It seems that there is a problem with your printer drivers; You can try their update by downloading this: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=al-85606-3&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=5109847&sw_lang=

Also, since Adobe uses its own drivers for printing, you can check the updates/patches for Photoshop CS3 as well.

  • Trying to set up wireless for HP Deskjet 3054 A! Help, please!

I'm trying to set up the connection for my HP 3054 A wireless to my computer and the router so I can print wireless.  I had an old HP printer implemented and that Wi - Fi was very well but then I got a new modem from century link and the wireless was completely messed up.

I use a MacBook Pro using 10.9.2 CD software is obsolete and only works on 10.5 and 10.6 then please do not mention following the instructions of the software.  The software "seems" to have downloaded the update to the Apple software, BUT I do not have any folder of HP or any installation assistant that I can find to help.

My modem is an ActionTec PK5000 and has a WPS button near the bottom.  I tried to connect using the WPS button and all I get is "Error WPS" about 1/2 way through.  All I get is a blue light flashing for a wireless connection on the printer.  I'm so confused because under my wifi options, it lists "HP-Setup-87-Deskjet-3050A-J611" as a connection option?

    Ugh.

I spent way too much time on this and thought that someone here would have some suggestions.

    Thank you!

    SOLUTION *.

Please NOTE: I am running OS 10.9.2 on a Macbook Pro using an Actiontec Qwest/Qwest PK5000 modem.  It is the solution that worked for me.  If you have a different operating system or brand of modem or a computer - I can't talk about what will work for you.

    1. you will connect the printer via what is called a Web server integrated (EWS) - not through WPS, is not using a PIN or a push button, what are the options of the printer.

    2. make sure that your printer is reset by default.  To do this - press the button on the printer control panel wireless and navigate to "restore to the factory settings."

    3. then - make sure your modem is on and your ethernet cable is connected the modem to the computer.

    4. then - you'll want to navigate through your browser to this page http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=5115807&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

and select your operating system like 10.8 and press Next.  "Driver-product installation software" press the sign + and download the package on your computer.  I don't think it would work as it says 10.8 and 10.9 not but it works very well in the end.

    5. open the packaging of the HP software for the HP utility, and his assistant installation etc.

    6. run the installer of HP.

    7. before you "add a printer" make sure you that you logged into your wifi connections for a connection which identifies (or should) in your wifi networks as something like "HP-Setup-XX-Deskjet 3050 a J611" not the normal wifi connection you can use.

    8. now 'add printer '.  The computer should find the device and it should show as "Hello multifunction" rather than "USB" (which is what I kept getting).

    9. now - go to the HP utility page and you will see the different sections of information about your device.

    10. find the section "Printer - additional parameters.

    11. then you should see a box that says ' the selected printer can be configured using a built-in web server.  Discover patterns and information on the printer by pressing the button below. »

    12. press the button.

    13. This will connect you to the embedded online Web server.

    14. When you're on the embedded - Web server you will see several tabs at the top of the page.  Go to the tab that says 'network '.

15 then the coast - find the wireless configuration wizard.  Who will guide you through connecting to the wifi network you use and configure your printer.

    16. After you run the installation wizard, you should be able to unplug your ethernet cable, go back to your wifi connected and normal that you use your printer up and everything should be good.

It worked for me and I hope this saves people a lot of time dressing and that this will work for you as well.

    Good luck.
