HP Deskjet 3070: I try to print red, but it comes out yellow

Hello

I have a HP Deskjet 3070 e-all-in-one - B611a. I was able to print correctly before of my HP Pavilion laptop to Windows 7 32-bit OS, but last week my printer started acting strange. When I try to print the text in red, it comes out yellow. When I try to print a purple variant, he leaves little green lifestyle. If I want to print Yellow, blue or black, it is printed correctly. I checked the ink cartridges, they have been placed correctly. I cleaned the print head, did not help. It seems as if my printer cannot print red more or the Red cartridge is somehow filled yellow ink... Can someone help me please?

THX,

Frederik

It seems that the magenta ink is not printing correctly.  The steps in this troubleshooting page can help.  If they don't resolve the problem the message here can help.

  • When I print, the printer sounds like its printing but nothing comes out on the page. What should do?

I just installed an hp F4480 printer, my roommate gave me.  My OS is Windows XP.  When I try and print or copy something the printer looks like it's printing and the paper passes by like it is printing but nothing comes out on the page.  Perhaps is out of ink, I guess, but I don't know how to say and I don't want to spend $50 to get a new non-refundable ink cartridge to see.  I did a print test page and the only thing that came out was a light that said the Page of Test printer Windows XP Blue cap but nothing else was on the page.

It's really a problem of HP, not a Windows problem, and you should look for the HP Support help site.

    However...

One of the lights on the printer are flashing?  There are 2 'estimated ink level lights' on the front panel.  See http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01673672&tmp_track_link=ot_faqs/top_issues/en_us/c01673672/loc:3 & cc = us & dlc = en & lang = en & lc = en & product = 3742086

Genuine HP ink cartridges are installed?  The cartridges have been completed?  How long did it that the printer is correctly printed?

When you installed the printer, you have installed the "HP Toolbox" application (or you simply download and install the basic printer driver)?  See http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01892627&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=3742086#N44

  • says it is printing but nothing comes out

    All-in-one HP Psc 1350

    X.7.2 OS

My utilities said printer sends the document to the printer, even shows % finished (no message offline or idle), but nothing comes out of the printer.

Also impossible to install the software as "PowerPC is no longer supported.

    Thoughts?

    Hi the4kosmos,

Indeed the software on the CD supplied with your printer, or also the software available on the HP download pages are not compatible with Mac OS 10.7 Lion. However, you can install the HP Printer Driver Update 2.8, which contains the drivers printing and scanning (via print & scan, preview or Capture of Image).

You may already have? If not and you use a different print driver, I suggest that you simply remove the current printer queue. Make sure that your device is connected directly to the USB port on your Mac. Then add the printer and you should get a message that there is software available to install - accept, so installing the respective drivers. See this document for more details: OS X 10.7 Lion: install and use the printer with Lion

If this message does not - maybe you're not connected to the internet - you can also download a full package of the HP Printer Driver Update 2.8: HP v.2.8 OS X printer drivers

Information on how to scan without the HP software, you can find here: How to perform a scan in Mac OS X 10.6 and OS X 10.7 without use of the HP software

On the question of printing, make sure that your device is connected directly to the Mac's USB port and the USB cable is not longer than 3meters. You can also try another USB port and USB cable to another if the problem persists.

    Hope the information is useful.

  • ePrint still listed as offline on laptop when you try to print work but printer D110a

I literally tried everything to resolve the question in the title. I'm fine with the networking. I'll run down the list of things that I tried to solve this problem, or the important factors that someone would need to know to help me:

    • It's my work, laptop which I use at home
    • I am running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional
    • All my wireless devices have Internet access
    • I can print on my printer D110a, but only via the ePrint option, which takes more time, because the packets must be sent via the Internet
    • I removed the D110a of devices and printers; HP ePrint is still listed as a separate device
    • The laptop has a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port
    • My router is a router dual-band running at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies
    • I connect using the 2.4 GHz frequency
    • The laptop has a built-in wireless card which can achieve up to 72Mbps access
    • I have a Wireless N adapter, which can connect to my 5 GHz band and up to a connection 300Mbps; I removed the adapter and ensured that I am connected to my 2.4 GHz band
    • Other printer drivers HP for printers that I use at work are installed on my laptop
    • I tried to uninstall and reinstall both complete drivers and base for my D110a, but during the installation, the wizard can find never the printer despite the fact that he obtains the valid IP address (192.168.1.x) private on my 255.255.255.0 network
    • I hid my 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz SSID, the D110a attached to the old, but my 2.4 GHz SSID is hidden is no longer and the D110a shows it is connected with a valid, private IP address that is not in use
    • The printer IP address statically has been highlighted, but I since changed to DHCP
    • I had the MAC address of the filtering enabled for network devices, but I've disabled since
    • I tried to remove the power of the modem, router and printer at the same time, wait a minute or two and then restore power to the modem, router and printer in turn before confirming that, once again, my wireless printer can connect to my network and rent a valid, private IP address that was not in use by another device on my network

I read that the HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service could confuse a laptop that is used between a job and a home network, if other HP printers are available on the work network unless the service is disabled when switching between networks. However, given that I'm trying to add the printer D110a from home, I imagine that this service must be enabled and started. He is currently in a State of the road with a manual startup type.

Oddly, although I can access the Internet from the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz band, I can't ping my gateway (192.168.1.1) when I'm logged in without wire, or I can ping some other devices on my network, although I see they are connected in the UI of my wireless router/gateway. The router is connected to a modem, but the router is configured as a DHCP server and assigns IP addresses to devices that are trying to connect to my home network. I think that my modem is on a different subnet, with an internal IP address of 192.168.0.1 not 192.168.1.1, which is the IP address of my router/gateway. Curiously, I ping my router and other devices on my network so I am connected directly to the router via the Ethernet port. I went into the Windows Firewall with advanced security, and I see that echo for IPv4 queries are allowed for any type of interface (wired or wireless), but this only applies to a domain (that is, knitting) network, only. Perhaps a rule should be created to allow applications to echo on a private network (i.e., mine), as well.

Maybe I should not worry about this, because the solution is just to print on the listed HP ePrint peripheral, but it is ridiculous that I can't print to the D110a locally. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Respectfully,.

    Eric Sternot

Solved! I already knew how to reset the router, as I did several times, but thank you for your diligence.

Anyway, after my router wireless network configuration backup, restore and then return to re - enter the data, I noticed a field called 'enable wireless of isolation '. The description on the information page of the router down the right to say read, "If checked, the under this SSID wireless client can only access the internet and it can not access other even wireless clients under the same SSID, Ethernet customers or this device. Other customers can access the wireless client, either. "No wonder I couldn't ping other devices on my network, while my laptop was using wireless, too! I restored the original configuration of my router from the backup file I had created and then connected, box unchecked "enable wireless isolate" and saved my configuration. I could then all connected devices - wired or wireless - ping on my network, including my printer D110a. I could also print on it locally.

Thanks for your patience to help me solve this problem. I know it sounds dumb, since workaround has been just to print the D110a on the Internet by using the device or the ePrint service, but at least I learned a little more about the configuration of firewall ports and what "isolation wireless" was.

Just guessing... but as the problem is intermittent, I would be

  • HP Deskjet 2130: I try to print on photo paper 10 x 15 cm

Hi, im tying to print photos. With the help of a paper photo 10 x 15 cm. But for some reason any I can print only 9.6x13.5cm, which leaves a white frame around the photo.

How to do the trick the white frame? I don't want to. I want to have pictures that extends from edge to edge.

I tried changing the settings, but it won't stretch on the picture entirely.

(BTW, did ' t have this problem with my canonprinter)

    Hello

Unfortunately, your printer does not support printing without margins so it leaves a white border around and the ratio of your photo is not 2 / 3 so a white border may be wider than others.

The following link shows its specs

    http://support.HP.com/au-en/document/c04616318

To avoid printing errors, the margins of the document must match (or exceed) the margin settings for the portrait in the following table.

    Hi gingert,

I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Please let me know how it goes.

  • My officejet 6500 e709n makes the sound of printing but nothing comes out on the page. thoughts?

I replaced the ink cartridges, cleaned the print head, turned switch, unplugged for a reset and reinstalled on my computer (Mac OSX 10.5.8).

Nothing seems to be a problem with the printer visually - not clear jams oddities in the internal mechanisms.  He just "pretended" to print.

Some error messages I received early in the troubleshooting process has suggested that ink cartridges are not compatible with the device (they are) and a warning to use the power button before turning off the power.

There are more messages on the screen - complete just the icons of ink.  Everything seems normal.

    Thanks for your time!
