HP Deskjet 3070: question HP Deskjet 3070 USB El Capitan

Hello

Just bought my new Macbook and try to install the printer with USB (like I did with my previous macbook in Mavericks), I have the choice between 'generic printer PCL' or choose the software, I chose "HP deskjet series", but when I print there is no option to print in color, any provision of information, the print quality is terrible, black and white.

Now, I have to use my old macbook to print!

How can I use the driver that was used on my previous macbook?

Thank you

Duke

Hi Duke,

Click about this Mac, then put software up-to-date.

Click on the Store menu and select reload the Page, make sure all available installl HP or Apple updates once checking completed pilot.

Then go to System Preferences > printers & Scanner, click on the button "+" and select the printer, be sure to select the printer model in the menu drop-down use.

    Hello

Newly installed computer running win 8/64-bit and Office 2013.  Have Deskjet 3000 USB printers.  Last driver HP and the latest installed MSFT.

Searched for this problem and most seem to be reoslved by changing the print quality settings, I tried all project photo and same result.

When I print from Excel, I see my spreadsheet in the Preview Print print area is correct.  I click on print and if I quickly change the status of pinter I see document number go from zero to 1 and then back to zero what any windows spooler.  I also changed printer for any coil.

I have no problem printing form other applications Office Word and PPT, or Adobe Reader or my browsers.  Just in Excel.

Don't know where to go from here? I ran the HP diagnostic tools and they work very well and that you can get test pages printed on them as well as Windows itself.  No error messages at all when the problem occurs, the print file seems to disappear.  I can print in a file from Excel and then print this file if its PDF without problem.

    Very mysterious!

    Thank you

    OK update:

I removed the HP software and driver and simply use the native Windows 8 driver and everything is wonderful.  Seems strange that doesht mfg driver work but the Windows version only.  All that I know is just remove any HP software and the driver and just take the default of WIndows and life is perfect!

Hi rich, happy to hear that the problem is now resolved, thanks for posting back with update

  • Try to install Windows 7 via USB, El Capitan, Macbook Pro 2011 but get this error "No. BOOTABLE DEVICE - INSERT BOOT DISK AND press ANY KEY ' when bootcamp restart my macbook to begin the installation. Any ideas?

I am trying to install Windows 7 via USB, (El Capitan, Macbook Pro - early 2011), but this mistake "No. BOOTABLE DEVICE - INSERT BOOT DISK AND press ANY KEY ' when bootcamp restart my macbook to begin the installation. Any ideas?

You cannot use a USB on Mac 2011 Installer. Please burn the ISO on a physical DVD Windows (a DVD - R Carbon SL on the rate of burning slower is better) and use it to install Windows. The file Info.plist changes only allowing the creation of USB, but does not fully support a USB Installation.

  • DeskJet 1010: DeskJet 1010 USB cord not in box

Last night, I bought a new 1010 DeskJet at Walmart. I take everything out of the box, and there is no USB cord. This printer is supposed to come with a USB cord, or do I have to buy it separately?

Thanks for responding to my question.

Sorry, that cable USB must be purchased separately.

  • DeskJet 832C USB will not fit HP PC

I have a Deskjet 832C that I love, but it won't connect to my HP PC. Any suggestions? I do not hear... buy a new one... this printer is great!

    Hello

That what we call a parallel cable (25 pin). New computers have no parallel port.  As mentioned above, your printer ALSO supports USB so you have to buy a cable/cord as shown in the picture above in a store of the computer (for about $10). You can also use parallel-USB BUT more expensine adapter and can't go anywhere (success rate around 30 percent, according to the pilot/computer/printer).

On the printer, the USB (almost round shape) is located just above the parallel port as shown:

    Kind regards.

  • DeskJet F2180 USB not recognized and is rediscovered

I'm cornered to the despair of my F2180.  Almost everytime I connect it to my laptop, the laptop doesn't recognize it even if it is installed.  I used the diagnostic tests and which rarely solves the problem.  More often that not the printer is reinstalled (copy 1 etc) and all the documents in the spool for the original printer waiting to be printed are thus lost.  This occurs if the printer is running before connecting or after.  Sometimes, the printer is listed as connected and ready, just to show disconnected a few moments later.  For example, the printer was connected and ready for anything at the time.  I took out the USB cable and the printer showed as disconnected.  I put the head back and the laptop reported new hardware found and has through the complete installation again and copy1.  I can't 'disconnect the printer USB safely' because he always shows "a program access to" this. I tried rebooting printer after 30 seconds and laptop computer reboot nothing helps. I have a bad machine?  Using XP Pro by the way.

DexterM (where he was when I asked the question?) gave the solution that seems to work in another thread - "while a F2180 resettlement."  The USB cable I used initially turned faulty on another piece of kit, so I thought that the cable was the problem until the problem reappeared with the replacement cable.  I had a hell of a problem trying to delete the print queue - finally found a trick on them stopping and restarting the spooler to print in Services.  The printer will not disappear until you restart.

  • Question about Acer eRecovery USB key

    Hi friends Acer,

    I need your helping hands.

I wanted to make sure IF I order Acer eRecovery USB key for my UltraBook S7-391 and he's going to recover my system back to factory with the original score of 3 (2 were hidden)? Even if I deleted my hard drive completely and turn it into single partition?

    My 2nd question:

If I decide to reinstall the Windows original 8 64-bit, including the given factory Application & drivers in my ONLY hard disk partition - would it be also possible and NOT necessarily make 3 with Acer recovery partition in one of the hidden partition?

I knew that this is an easy question for you BUT have you tried and confirmed before? Thank you very much for your kind advice!

Both questions can be answered, Yes.

The system recovery to factory default charge as close as possible, including the hidden partition.

However, it is something that you can change if you decide to do and to load only the operating system on a single partition.

Please keep in mind that Windows will make a 100MB system reserved partition and this can not be avoided.

  • Questions about SD and USB running Vista on Satellite M40X

Well, I've updated my M40X to VISTA, if it is not mentioned on the list of allow.
Well, actually installed on a new formatted partition.
Runs smoothly, RAM is sufficient, component more slow seems to be the CPU, well, fair enough.

Obviously, I'm not able to get the card reader (chip SD card combo, xD,) or the USB ports running.
The two is listed in Device Manager, the USB hub and the customer of the sd. In addition, there are a storage device mass with a pilot error in the list.
Whenever I have insert well tested cards, USB HDs mp3 players or that it is in the slots the computer sometimes makes noise-ping but does not show any device in Solution Explorer or a new letter of the device.

I think it's some kind of driver issue, but found no solution. Not even after researching dayandnight on forums and other things.
Card reader is "Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Intergrated Flash Media Controller", as I understand it.
Well, I'd be more than happy and greatfull if someone could recommend a solution for these problems, pref with links to the drivers.
    Am really low.

    Hello

As you know, this laptop model is certainly not support Vista and Toshiba will design all the Vista drivers for this model of laptop. I can imagine that Vista works very well, but without the right drivers, it is not easy to use certain hardware components.

I recommend you to use Windows XP Home edition. WXP works great on this laptop. For all tests, you can install Vista on the second partition to see how it works. I think right after a few weeks remove you Vista and use WXP as before. ;)

  • How to encrypt usb OS CAPITAN

I have a USB and want to encrypt it. But the Capitan OS will not let me us the option of partition in disk utility.   So, what should I do?

Which is exactly the problem that you receive?

It seems that our goal is to present under OS extended (journaled, Encrypted)

The question is unclear.  Is the partition in disk utility gray tab?

If so, you must select the physical disk and not volume.

If the disk has a map of MBR partition, it will have to be deleted and replaced by TPG.

  • Questions about Adobe CC 2015 & El Capitan

My salary is based on the Adobe Creative Cloud products, and after that I updated (not upgraded) for OS X El Capitan I have ALL KINDS OF QUESTIONS. Illustrator all my art breaks into cubes and my workstation of creation-Pro-CC 2015 won't even launch. When I opened a video project, it says open and displays a loading bar. When it finishes loading the workspace does not appear.

I opened a discussion on 01/10/15 with an Adobe support person, and she kindly told me that Adobe CC does not work with the beta versions and that I should get off at Yosemite. I didn't have a Time Machine for Yosemite Backup so I'm looking for a workaround solution. I'll first MANUELLEMENT SAVE all my files to an external hard shore, then use a second empty hard drive to install Yosemite.

It is incredibly frustrating that Apple and Adobe gave no public warning on these issues, which are perform as many people. When I find a way to return to Yosemite, I'll let you know.

Hi all, I come bearing the GOOD NEWS! It's a way to downgrade to El Capitan in Yosemite (or whatever OSX you had installed before El Capitan)

So after a week of intensive research, I found a solution which allow me to get off at Yosemite. I also used the same technique to help the Mavericks a downgrade of El Capitan colleague (he never upgrade Mavericks Yosemite). Basically, this tutorial will help you downgrade to the OS X version that you had before you download El Capitan.

The one caveat is that you'll need to erase your hard disk Mac (Macintosh HD). I know, it's daunting, but if you have a way to backup your computer, PLEASE do so before following these instructions. These came from an apple support thread.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________

If you have a Time Machine backup, you need this support page:

    https://support.Apple.com/kb/PH18848?locale=en_GB

If this isn't the case, then you will need to make an installer of Yosemite at least 8 GB USB. (a USB3 will be a much faster).

First download the installer for OS X 10.10 Yosemite from the Mac App Store in the shopping section (you may need to keep alt/option while clicking on purchases. Once it is downloaded, just to leave the Setup program and set the name of the file uploaded to InstallOSXYosemite.app (.app only of course, don't make no. app.app)

    1. plug your USB into the computer and open disk utility (in Applications).

    2. Select the USB in the sidebar left and click on the tab clear.

    3. Select Mac OS extended (journaled) in the format box and set the name be YosemiteInstaller

    4. now, click the Erase button and wait until the formatting process completes.

5 tab partition and select 1 Partition menu drop-down layout Partition. Click on Option and make sure that the Table of Partition GUID is selected as the partition scheme, with its YosemiteInstaller value name.

    6. start the Terminal application (in Applications/Utilities) and copy - paste the following command in and then press ENTER:

    • sudo /Applications/InstallOSXYosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia--volume/Volumes/YosemiteInstaller applicationpath--/Applications/InstallOSXYosemite.app--nointeraction

    7. This will create the bootable USB key. It takes between 10-20 minutes. Do not interrupt the Terminal or eject the FlashDrive during the process. Once the process is complete, you will see the message "copy Complete. Fact. »

The bootable OS X Yosemite USB flash drive will be ready for use, and you can start the own installation process. How to clean install OS X Yosemite on your Mac.

8 make sure that the bootable USB is connected to your Mac, and then restart the computer. As soon as the Gong to start playing, press the Option (Alt) key.

9 choose the USB key on the startup disk selection screen and press enter/return on the keyboard.

    10. wait until Setup of Yosemite appears on the screen. It may take a few seconds or a few minutes.

    11. click on disk utility and then click on continue.

    12. click on Macintosh HD in the left pane and then click Delete on the part at the top right of the window. Leave all settings to their default values and then click the clear bottom-right button. He will wipe away all the files stored on your hard drive to boot.

    13. when the delete process is complete, return to the first screen where you select disk utility. Now click on install OS X and then click on continue.

    14. choose the Macintosh HD partition that you deleted in step 5 and then click on install.

    Troubleshooting Guide:

    a. If you are using a flashdrive make sure it's more than 8 GB. Note that a 8 GB flash drive is actually of 7.66 concerts. I recommend a 16 gig to be sure.

    b. If you are without downgrading to the Mavericks, follow exactly the instructions above, but replace every occurrence of the word "Yosemite" with "snipers". (for example in step 3: name flash drive MavericksInstaller.app & copy and paste the following text:)

    • sudo /Applications/InstallOSXMavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia--volume/Volumes/MavericksInstaller applicationpath--/Applications/InstallOSXMavericks.app--nointeraction

    c. step 6/7 took about an hour and a half. Just be Patient.

    d. step 8 took a few tries, but don't give up.

Overall, just be patient with your Mac. Let, let it do its thing. This WILL WORK. He has done for me & now I am in illustrator, Photoshop & first perfectly. It's good to be back!

  • Unable to encrypt USB / El Capitan

Using a Macbook Air running El Capitan 10.11.4...

(Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I've never understood how to navigate to the right place n communities Support from Apple).

I tried (for literally a few hours) to find how pw - protect / encrypt a new USB key. Although I have read and followed the instructions to more than a dozen son / pages online, * nothing * works, because my system does not simply offer the options described. To cut a very long story short, I used disk utility to erase the drive, but never did have the option of "password" on the screen "next" mentioned repeatedly - there is no next screen, just a local saying 'Done '. Then I discovered several discussions mentioning the need to partition the USB key to encrypt - that seems weird to me, but I guess I'm out of my depth. Anyway, "Partition" is always grayed out. I * so * found son saying that, so the partition, I first need to choose "GUID" partition of the table - but absolutely nowhere in the process are only some sort of partition of an option. At no time do I get nothing except a NAME box, a box of FORMAT and DELETE / CANCEL.

Oh - on another (official, Apple) help screen, he said in El Capitan, you could simply Ctrl-click on the USB in the Finder. (Interestingly, no other screen I saw didn't mention this.) Of course, that appear a box to enter a new password... followed by the error message that I must first of all put in place a GUID partition table.

Naively, I thought this would be a three-minute operation, but I'm completely stumped.

You can only encrypt a drive formatted for Mac.  If this isn't the case, you will need to format will erase the drive.

In disk utility, select the drive and delete it. As the format, select Mac OS extended (journaled). That will make a table partition GUID.
