HP Deskjet 3510: Deskjet 3510 not connect Router

Hello. I have deskjet 3510 printer wireless. I used to print smooth wireless... But, once I started using Kaspersky Internet Security, printer is unable to connect to the router and I can't use the printer wireless. I guess that the firewall is not blocking. I tried a few things to adjust, but I couldn't. How can I solve it please help.

Welcome to the @mcmanimanforums.

I saw your post on wireless connection problems that you have with your printer for installation of Kaspersky Internet Security. I suggest you check the settings in the firewall to configure and enable the printer to connect to the network.

Yes you will need a printer USB cable like this.

Hi, we just changed internet service providers and the printer will not connect to the new router, our HP laptop computer presents the printer in the list of network devices / wireless, but will not accept the password of network to the router when I ask him to connect. Makes me crazy! I have re-installed software etc. to connect the drive and make me anywhere I hope someone can help!

    Dave.

Replacement/change your wireless router, try here.

    http://www.HP.com/global/au/en/wireless/reconfiguring-system-Help3.html

Make sure that your router is set to a fixed channel wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.  Try channel 1 first and then the other one at a time.  Make sure that the printer and the router are spaced at least 5 feet.

However, if you have a gateway device (modem + router), all gateway devices are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.

  • HP Deskjet 3055 A does not connect to the WIFI with security

I'm trying to configure a Deskjet 3055 A on my DD - WRT router.  I am a highly qualified network engineer, so I don't know 100% what I'm doing.

First, DD - WRT supports WPS connection, because these are very precarious.  This means that my only way to connect the pritner to my home network is to connect to my PC and use the Setup utility (downloaded from your page drivers) I use the 28.8 version.

My router supports the 2.4 and 5 GHz and I know the printer is only 2.4 GHz.  I disabled completely the 5 GHz network in order to connect the printer, even though it shouldn't have any effect.

I restarted my router and reset the printers wireless network using its integrated control panel.

In any case, after a shameful 2 hours troubleshooting, I did discover that the printer WILL NOT CONNECT to the WIFI network if any security is applied against it.  It works 100% fine with open security however, it is totally unacceptable.

I tried both WPA Personal and WPA2 Personal, both with the same effect.

For reasons to try, I added also the printer to my network WIFI open and tried to manually change the setting WIFI via webinterface of printers, however, whenever I try and access the wireless configuration wizard, I simply get an error message saying "Internal system error" - eventually I managed to work around this another bug that has been there for years (see http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/Internal-System-Error-prevents-access-t...

After installing printers web interface WIFI, the problem is always the same and it does not connect.

HP, we were in the order of 2500 of these printers for users of our remote site.  If you don't come to the top with a quick solution/bug fixed, consider the lost business!

    Concerning

    Ian

After playing well, I managed to find a solution for this!

For all users who are unable to find a solution by using the other methods, here's what to do.

Change your local network to open the safe but note your WIFI settings for your default installation.

Connect the printer to the open network the HP software (via USB cable)

Go to the URL of the printer, but make sure that you connect through HTTPS - if you get an internal system error, keep refreshing until it works (WHAT A JOKE!)

Click on 'Network', then click 'Advanced' on the left.

Enter the network settings as they need to be secured.

Downstairs, check "in an infrastructure network, use 802. 11b / g behavior (assuming that your assisted supports g, otherwise use the b only option), then click on apply.

Turn on your wireless security, on your router and then the printer should connect!

I am really confused as to why this is not automatically enabled, if the printer is not working with security on a Wireless N network wireless, then have this as the default!

HP - feel free to thank me in this post!

  • not connected to the internet deskjet 3520

First day instaled deskjet 3520 printer all-in-one on the internet ok

Two days does not connect to the internet.

My internet connection is ok for my laptop and mobile

    Hi rubyjim,

Thank you for the additional information.  I was very surprised to see the number of disconnects the printer has had in the last 24 hours.

According to the information provided, I'm surmising that you stopped in step: evaluate the wireless network Test page according to the wireless network Test page you are correctly connected to your network.  In this step you ask to change the change to your wireless router, you please begin at this stage and test wireless printing?    If you are unable to print please continue with the remaining steps.  For ease of reference, I have included a list of the document printer does not maintain the wireless connection again.

  • DeskJet 6940: ethernet connection between the new modem and printer does not transmit Mac

I just installed a new modem to Qwest; It works wirelessly with my iMac 10.11. My old (but functional until yesterday) Deskjet 6940 is connected to the modem via Ethernet. When I try to print, the document seems to be transmitted to the printer, but then it hangs on and I get the message "the printer is not connected" - which it is, plugged, ethernetted, and set in motion. Support of Qwest says that only 10% of the info from the computer are the printer, but he seems to think that the part of the new modem Ethernet is functional,

I have already tried all unplug/restart/send/add printer new check/updates / IP (cannot connect) / ethernet ports and cables, etc.

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hi @newgranny,

Thanks for getting back to me.

It is good that the printer has been able to print a diagnostic page.

Ensure that the router and firewall on the market do not block these ports.

    Ports of printing:

    • UDP ports: 427, 137, 161
    • TCP port: 9100

    Card photo upload:

    • UDP ports: 137, 138, 427
    • TCP port: 139

    The HP device status:

    • UDP port: 161

    Ports of Web Services:

    • UDP and TCP: 80, 443, 5222 and 5223

    Hello Ports:

    • TCP and UDP: 5353 and 5297, 5298

Unplug the wired network (ethernet cable), restore the default values on the printer.

    Restore the default settings.

Follow these steps to reset the printer to factory default settings:

    1. check that the printer is on.

    2. press and hold down the button to report Page.

3 while holding down three times the homepage button, press the Cancel button.

    4. release the report Page button.

    • Restart the printer.
    • Connect the ethernet cable.
    • What were the results?

If the problem persists, try the USB connection.

Please reply to this message with the results. Good luck!

  • My Mac Pro and HP Deskjet 3070 PowerBook does not connect via a wireless network from dorm

Both my laptop and printer (an all-in-one) are connected to the same wireless network dorm, but they do not connect on it.  They connect only wire using a USB cable.

I have for the MacBook Pro and the Deskjet printer IP addresses but no way to use to establish a connection.  I don't have access to the network router.  When I test the connectivity, the software tells me, "too many networks."  He can't make a choice!

Interestingly, I have my MacBook Air along this journey, too, and the two MacBook have no problem of communication on the same network of dorm.

Is it possible to plug these devices such as computers connect or should I remain attached to the USB cable to use my new printer?  I guess you know how I feel about this.  Thanks for your advice.

You are right.  There is no way to bypass security protected by password and thus to connect a Mac to a Deskjet 3070 via a secure network without access to a router, and a password.  However, even without access to a network or a router, there is a workaround solution.  In my case, where the technical ability to correctly configure the router and the printer is beyond the understanding of the management of the dormitory, qualified through the difference to happen anytime soon, it is the answer I need.

The solution is to build your own Mac + network printer and make it private, protect it against unwanted entry.  This offer you little mobility in the area of the printer, which is much better than nothing.  A sofa can be more conducive to creative thinking as an Office Chair.  The unconventional twist that Johnny introduced the user, the printer that generates the sender-recipient, not the Mac network.  Very smart.

I refer you to the thread,

"Deskjet 3070 cannot connect to the ad - hoc network (Mac)"

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-networking-and-wireless/DeskJet-3070A-cant-connect-to-ad-hoc-network/m-p/1446819#M38598

Then the only question is to know how to connect your Mac on the Deskjet 3070 printer via the generic (as he calls it, "ad hoc") network created by the Deskjet printer.  The Mac has abundant features for this purpose.

Thanks for the categorical assertion, however.  No sense to break down the walls looking for a nonexistent hidden tunnel...!

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 does not connect to the server

Hi guys, I am exhausted after a week of trying to solve the problem. I am printing and scanning over wifi without problem, but there is no way to activate the print server (ePrint). The printer screen (and also Web page) explains this printer could not connect to the internet. I tried to reinstall, open ports on the router (WRT54GL) and millions of other web solutions. I don't have a proxy on my home network. Someone has solved this problem, please?

  • Scanner will not connect to my printer HP deskjet 3050

I recently bought a printer HP Deskjet 3050 all-in-One series, scanner copier J611 a.  My operating system is Vista 64.  I received the error message is "Scanner not connected to the computer."  Everything worked, and then all of a sudden the scanner no longer works (print and copy of the works).  I tried to use the printing HP and Dr. Scan to try to solve the problems, but it did not help.  I also tried other solutions I found on the HP site.  Finally, I just uninstalled and reinstalled.  It did not help.  I can still print and copy but will not scan.  I need the scanner, more than anything I have an another printer/copier HP that I can use.

I tried to analyze using the Wi - Fi connection but couldn't. I have not tried to use MS Paint. I saw in another thread, the proposition that, using a key USB cable might work and I tried it and it worked. It's a little embarrassing, but the key is that I can scan now. Thank you very much.

  • DeskJet HP3054A will not connect to the Mac running Yosemite

The HP Deskjet 3054 lost connection for Mac.  Mac Airport utility assistance and the option WPS on the printer, the printer connects to the network, but when the countdown on the printer control panel reached about 15 seconds, he says "WPS Error" and the wifi of the printer is disabled.  Anyone know why the wifi the printer stops just before filling the countdown?

    Hello @3054AMacUser!

I don't know what WiFi is turn off until you have completed the Setup, but I have another technique to get the printer on your network. I'm sure you know, a full pilot of features for the Mavericks is not available for your printer, or from the CD supplied with your printer from the HP website.  This document applies to the HP printers supported in versions of Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks) and 10.10 (Yosemite) with only drivers available via Apple Software Update.

I can help you put the printer on your network wireless software. I use this method for iPads, iPhones and other devices that have no software.

    1. Restore default network settings on the printer by pressing the wireless button, by going to settings and then restore the default settings. The wireless button should start then flashes, this means that it is now in autowireless mode.
    2. To connect to the network that broadcasts the printer. It is usually HP-setup - 3054a and then a part of the MAC address, or a variant of the name of the printer. Always wireless light will blink on the printer at this stage, which is normal since it is not a real ad-hoc connection.
    3. Load up the built-in webserver (EWS) in the browser of your mobile device. The default IP for autowireless is 192.168.223.1.
    4. Go to the tab network along the top of the SAP.
    5. Click Setup wireless along the left side Assistant to start to set up the printer.

You have now completed the configuration of wireless network, follow the next 3 steps to start printing.

    1. Blue wireless light will be solid, put the Mac on your network.
    2. Add the printer in system preferences.
    3. Print

Please let me know if that solves the problem. I look forward to hear from you. If this resolves the issue, please make sure you click on the I accept as Solution button below so that others can see what has worked for you.

    Thank you.

  • PRI all-in-one HP Deskjet 2542: not the printer connected to the Modem

My modem (wired LAN) password and the name was changed recently and now my printer (HP Deskjet 2542 all-in-one) does not connect to the modem.  The blue light just continuously flashes.  This is the only change that has been done to my modem and this is the first time I tried to print. It is printed on the front.  I called the cable company and they determined my modem was working fine and has suggested that to change my printer settings.  I grew up the printer instructions on my computer, but could not find something that I could change my settings to match the modem.  I think that's what the cable company told me to do.

My printer is mod. # SNPRB - 1204 - 02.  If you need made more information let me know.  It seems that this should be a quick fix, but I'm not a computer geek.

    Hi @first100years,

I'd love to help you connect your printer to your wireless network. The flashing blue light confirms without a doubt that, for some reason, the printer is is more set up.

I found the following steps in this document: connect the printer after change of your wireless network.

The HP software automatically collects the network settings by temporarily connect a USB cable from the printer to a computer that is connected to the new network. Follow these steps to reconnect the printer to the network.
  • USB not connect not not on Win8.1 for DeskJet 1512

I have a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and I bought a new HP DeskJet 1512.  I try to install the printer and the USB does not yet recognize the connection.  This is related to a printer of 15' cable.

I tried on a Windows 7 machine and USB has been recognized as unknown.  I installed the HP driver and had something to print this machine.  A lot of hassle, but at least now I know the cable doesn't work and the driver.

I return to the machine of 8.1 and still nothing.  There is no error in device drivers.  I manually installed the printer on LPT1 and the laptop says the drivers are there, but I'm not connected to the physical printer.

I spent to Microsoft and makes the difficulty they have for the USB turns off not.  I can't identify what USB printer is connected to given that the cable connection is not even be recognized.

I changed the USB Sockets and my mouse works in each of them but the printer cable is not recognized in any of them.  I am ready to return the printer if I can't even get connected.  Help please

None of the fixes work.  I asked about the length of the cable.  I finally found something in the window stuff 8 of which 3 m is the longest to be used.  Wal-Mart has packed a 15 feet with the printer.  I'll get another cable that is less than 9 ' and try again.  I'll put something on this thread on the question of whether it works or not.  Thank you for responding.

It's a real pain and I think to get rid of my printer without wire-HELP!

In addition to the above, I noticed the following error message when I try to print:

  • HP Deskjet 2540: Printer does not connect

Hello! I managed to connect my printer via the cord, but all my efforts to connect wireless have not been successful, even after you install the drivers appropriate for Windows 10. It seems to connect and to detect the router but when it promts me to enter information to check the connection, it does not connect. He also promts me to enter the information that is displayed on the printer, but it is not anything related to this wireless network. Help, please!

Hi @paige101us and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you have connectivity problems.  I would like to help!

I would recommend your computer off.  Once the computer is down, unplug the power cord from the printer and the electrical outlet and remove the power of your router for 60 seconds.

After 60 seconds, reconnect the router.  Once the router has started broadcasting, reconnect the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

After that the printer is turned on, run the wireless configuration.

    I also suggest this document:

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

It seems that this could be a software problem.

I would like to start by running the following two uninstall process:

The problems that the programs cannot be installed or uninstalled

    Uninstalling the printer software

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.
