HP Deskjet 6122:6122 prints all colors

My HP 6122 printer prints all colors.  I put new cartridges in three.  Printed black and blue only.  Another print clear yellow, pink and black.  A black and in some parts of the document print prints a pink light.  I cleaned the cartridges and also cleaned a part (don't know the name) inside the right which has 4 grooves.  He had many top ink and I can see at the bottom of the printer when there seems to be a lot of ink.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem.  Our State is no more long to individual printers at our offices; only network printers.  However, if we have one in our office we can use it until it no longer works.  I won't give up on this printer.

In addition, if color printing cannot be resolved, is there a way so that it will print in black only.  I tried to find where it change but had no success.  Our COMPUTER technician could not help...

Thank you.

You could try printing in grayscale: HP Deskjet, Officejet and Photosmart printers and all-each change of printing in Windows 7 settings.

  • DeskJet 6122 print with only black print cartridge?

I had this oldy but goody through local Freecycle (with two sets of ink!) list after knowledge full it works under Linux and openprinting.org it lists as working perfectly. Plug and play installation with Ubuntu, instantly recognized 14.04.

I think it is indicated only by old-school print/head of cartridge type, but I should be able to use it with the black cartridge only right? I know most recent will force you to have both. I love that the cartridge for the price are very economical too.

The Deskjet 6122 requires a black cartridge and electric sound color must be installed in the printer to print.  It is not necessary to have ink in all colors, but both cartridges must be installed.

    Hello

The Deskjet 6122 is no longer officially supported on OS X 10.6 or newer versions, due the generic driver use color printing is not available:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01856359

Try to install a 3rd party driver that supports your printer model and compatible with 10.8, HPIJS seems to support it.

Be sure to intall one of the required 3 prior downloads following the printer Set Up instructions:

  • HP Envy 4502: HP Envy 4502 - do not print all colors

I just bought the HP Envy 4502 last night. The printer is hung high and printing. The problem is that the colors are not loyal to the screen. This isn't the pink, red, Orange and yellow print correctly at all and the Blues and Greens are lighter than they should be. I cleaned printer heads and looked through all of the settings to see if I missed something. Wal-Mart wants to return the printer just to replace the possible defective color print cartridge. Thought that I ask here before you do this.

  • DeskJet F2280: Printer prints wrong color

    Hello

I have a DeskJet F2280, when my laptop Lenova with Win 10 printing all colors are OK, but when I plug the printer on my laptop HP with Win10 it prints blue colors in red, in all programs.

I tried to reinstall the driver but it back no help.

    Can anyone help?

    Arne

    Hi @Arne2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are having problems, print the correct colors, just the computer Windows 10. I want to help you solve this problem. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. Try another application, to see if you have the same results.

I wasn't sure if you meant that you have downloaded and installed the full feature software, or if you use the preinstalled Windows drivers. Here is the link to the full feature software: DJ_AIO_03_F2200_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140_404 - 4.exe

If you haven't already done so.

You can check the settings of the print using this paper driver, HP printers - change the print settings (Windows 8).

Do not take into account the title.

You can also download and run the print and Scan doctor, he will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor?

Please let me know the results and if there is anything else I can help you. Thank you.

  • DeskJet 6122 on Windows 8

    Hello

I'm trying to run a HP Deskjet 6122 printer via a USB connection to a computer running the Windows 8 operating system.  The operating system recognizes the printer as a device "not specified" and not as a printer.  There also 2 categories under the Hardware tab in the properties of the device - one that says "Print taken in charge USB" and one that says "hpdeskjet." 6122  Under "hpdeskjet 6122," by selecting the button "Properties" then the "Driver" tab and "Driver Details" button, it says that "no driver file is mandatory or were loaded for this device.  I want to use this printer on my computer Windows 8; is it possible that I can do this?  The site of HP lacks a selection of Windows 8 operating system option to get the drivers for this printer (it goes up to with Windows 7), but it is not in the list of printers that do not support using the Windows 8 operating system on the HP site.

    Sincerely,

    Michael

I've updated the list of windows with windows update drivers. It took a while to download. Then, I selected deskjet 990c and installed. DeskJet 6122 works is fine now, no problem.

Welcome to the HP community @Jimm2710,

I wanted to answer your post on your 843C Deskjet do not print in color, from your Mac running 10.11. After checking in to the printer and 10,11 details, I see 10.11 does not support printers Deskjet 840 of the series. You can try to use the Apple software update to install the printer to see if it helps, or try another driver who is supported, but it is not a guarantee that it will work. If the results do not seem to get colorful impressions, looking at an upgrade of the printer then. I'll leave details of HP below for you in case you want to discuss your printer options coming with them.

  • How can I get Acrobat Professional to print in color?

    Hey there,

My Acrobat Professional is only printing in greyscale for some strange reason! Maybe I accidentally pressed something I shouldn't! Any ideas?

    Thank you

There is more than 1 then option you can click on who makes the black and white output.

First check the first window you get when you are about to print something. There is a checkbox (lower-left) that if ticked it prints all colors as black.

If it's not her, then go to the advanced settings of the same window (also in lower left) and check what color profile is used.

If those who are not, then you should check the options of the printerdriver. You can get there by clicking on the properties button next to the name of printerdriver.

good luck, I hope you find it.
