Hi @sadie731,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you have a HP Deskjet D1520 printer that prints wrong colors when sending your computer Windows 8 print jobs. I would like to help with that.

Page 87 of the HP Deskjet D1500 Series user manual, providing the steps which can solve the problems of print like that quality.

If it's a matter of print quality caused by the software and printer drivers. It would be better to completely uninstall the software and printer drivers. Here is a video that you can use to reference - uninstalling in Windows 8 HP printer drivers, if needed.

Once uninstalled, you must reinstall the software and drivers. Here is a link to the page where you can start downloading - drivers and software HP Deskjet full functionality.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

Thank you!

  • HP 6520 will not work after changing the black ink cartridges

    Changed the cartridges and now black ink will not work. This is the second or third time only to change the cartridges - did not have a problem before, but of course, it is while the printer was still under warranty. It is now about a year and a half.

    I used all the suggested diagnosis - head cleaned, head aligned, etc, etc, etc, and nothing has helped.

    The black cartridge worked after the swap, but with a few lines do not print or missing--now produces almost nothing.

    Cartridges color was wonderful at the beginning of the troubleshooting process, but now they're starting to not look right - with spare no effort to correct the print head, he seems to be making it worse.

    Suggestions?

    Make sure all the orange, packaging material is to remove the toner.

    Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware or software problem.

    Open and close the cover five times quickly. It should print a page with black lines on it.

    OK because that is a thing of warranty which may be worth dip the printhead as described below...

    (1) get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
    (2) remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
    (3) gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
    (4) remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
    (5) replace the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.

Remove the printer from Windows XP and reinstall also does not resolve it. Also by using the option in Windows/printer driver for the cleaning cartridge has failed. Anyone know a solution to this?

    I just changed my black ink cartridge last night and now it won't print. B504 code keeps coming up and I followed these instructions to restart the printer. Whenever I turn on the printer, it spits out 2 pieces of paper, so the paper is not jammed.

  • DeskJet 3520: Question of an another DeskJet 3520 print after changing the ink

    Well, I'm another person with a POS deskjet 3520 which ceased print just black ink because I had the audacity to change a new cartridge. I've read at least 4 other threads full of posters with this problem extending over 1 1/2 years. I tried all the 'solutions' that HP experts say to try and not one worked. The printer is 1 month out of warranty now. I tried cleaning the contacts and updated the firmware and bought a second cartridge new, just in case the first was defective. HP really has need of man up and admit they have a problem with this model and fix.

    As it comes a 3520 model, you must call phone HP support, even if it is out of warranty. See the post for more details

  • "Print" key requires a second click to print after changing the presence of another page for visible

    I have trouble getting a "print key" executing the two lines of code.  I need to make the second page in a printable form and then print, it makes page 2 visible but then when the print dialogue box appears only one page is page 1.  Can I get to run one after the other in one click?  I played with the pre-press, and no luck there.  Page2 is set to hidden again on the postPrint which works very well.

    I created a very simple version of this problem, 2 pages, page 2 has the value hidden on initialize.  On page 1 is a button with only this code to the click event:

    event: click

    Pg2.presence = "visible";

    XFA. Host.Print (1, "0", (xfa.host.numPages - 1) m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString (), 0, 0, 0, 0, 0);

    And she still only page 1 in the print dialog box, even if on the insight behind this pop-up window, I can see that the document now has 2 pages long!  What I'm missing here?

    Thank you

    Try this:

    Pg2.presence="visible";
    var MyDoc = event.target;
    var pp = MyDoc.getPrintParams();
    var fv = pp.constants.flagValues;
    pp.flags |= (fv.setPageSize);
    pp.pageHandling = pp.constants.handling.none;
    MyDoc.print(pp);

    Let me know if all of the settings of your printer still work with that (including printing annotated, as you set it to false and the default value true).

  • Always said "Cannot print" after changing the cartridge twice.

    It is an Officejet Pro 8500 has.  He gave me a message saying "Unable to print" and meant to replace the following depeleted cartridges to resume printing.  I ran the animated illustration which stated that it was the cyan cartridge.  I got a replacement and installed.  He gave me the same message.  I got another cartridge and tried again, even once he gave me the same message.

    I am at a loss.  What should I try then operate?

    Here a link to a document that deals with the error you get on the printer. It will give troubleshooting steps to try to solve the problem it produces. I hope this helps.

    If you reach the end of the document and find that the printer still does not work. Sought to be the replacement of the product.

    If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • DeskJet 932C, you can print with just replace the black ink cartridge?

    My question is basically simple.  The printer DeskJet 932C can operate with only black ink?  Color ink was empty for a while now, but the printer kept working, printing in black and white.  Due to the cost of the ink and the absence of any income available, we just changed the black ink cartridge.  The problem now is that the printer will not print not even black and white.  Do I have to scrape some funds to replace the color ink cartridge, or y at - it another way to get the printer working with just the new black cartridge?

    Thank you in advance!

    Michael Sponable

    Hello

    Your printer can print in black only, but up to a certain point , you need tri-cartouche color otherwise it will not print. It's a little late now, otherwise if you only need to print B & W, a monochrome laser printer is very good and much cheaper to run (in terms of cost per page).

    Kind regards.

  • error printhead after changing the printhead in L7680

    I have an OfficeJet Pro L7680 that is a few years old.  Recently, I have noticed a decline in the print quality for mainly black, but also a little yellow, and after changing the black cartridge with no changes, I decided to change the Black/Yellow Printhead.  So, I thought that if I'm trying to change a print head, I should change the other (cyan/magenta).  I bought new Office Depot print heads.  After replacing the print heads that I was able to print a page or two, and then all of a sudden the printer started saying there is a problem with the cyan/magenta printhead.  I tried to remove and reinstall, the suppression and power reset and then put it back up, etc, but nothing moves it.  I have not yet called HP, but I hope that when I do they will help because the print heads are under warranty until 2014, even if the printer is out of warranty.  In the meantime, I thought I would ask here is - it possible I only have a print head of DOA?  Or would it be the printer?  Unfortunately I threw the old printheads immediately (stupid me) so I can't try that goes back to the old magent/cyan print head and see what happens.

    Hello jmmarton.

    Your chip printheads were damaged by inserting wrong while the transport is always on the right side. This document provides instructions on how to replace the printhead to the unit.
