HP Deskjet F4440

I have an old HP Deskjet F4440. There is an error on the Panel (or door) code being opened. I gave and this piece of plastic is out. Where it belongs? If you need to be in a month I'll take another printer, but I love that this printer can have 60 XL cartridges. They last quite a while and I don't know what HP printers allow larger cartridges. I can't wait to run out. Anyone know where this piece belongs? I might be able to stick the plastic part? Anyone know how to make the printer print without the sensor or / and error?

Fortunately I told my son. See the part plastic hanging on by a thread, recalls. While he MacGyvered and it works fine now! What a relief!

  • His retirement a HP Deskjet F4440

I have a HP Deskjet F4440 I'm ready to retire. I understand that several printers, copiers and scanners have hard disks that must be cleaned before selling or recycling or memory. What is the case for the F4440? If this is the case, what should I do to take care of this?

    Thank you.

  • DeskJet F4440: Deskjet F4440 will not print

I was using my Deskjet 4440 for scanning and copying of print. Then everything suddenly not but yet it print scans and copies. When I try to print it doesn't even go in the print queue. I tried to redown load software on the line, but that didn't work.

    Hi there @DonJB1 , I hope you're well

I read your messages not being able to print, and seeing that the printing and scanning Dr. not cross it's wide scan without getting stuck, I have a few more suggestions for you.

Restart the spooler to print on your computer manually:

    1. click on start
    2. type 'Services' in the search field.
    3. open SERVICES
    4. at the bottom, click "extended view.
    5. search for the print spooler
    6. right click and choose Properties
    7. Select Automatic from the drop-down list, close the window
    8. right-click Print Spooler and select 'Stop', wait until it stops and then again right click and 'Start '.
    9. close out Services and try your print.

If the prints will still not work and always test print from more than one program such as Notepad and a Web page, try:

    1. Uninstalling the printer software
    2. Restart the PC completely
    3. Download and install the full pilot here: HP Deskjet F4400 all-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Driver
    4. Try to print again.

If the prints are still not working, try a "deeper" uninstall. Here are the steps to do a uninstall of level 3.

    1. Click Start and type %temp%, enforcement and open the temp folder.

    2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356) (if there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)

    3 open the Util folder

    4 open the CCC folder

    5. run the L3uninstall.exe (can also be a.) BAT file)

    6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

    8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads .html

9 download drivers and full software features: all-in-one printer, HP Deskjet F4400 series full feature software and driver

    10. run the download to reinstall the printer

Test print now and it should work

  • Deskjet F4440 message "scanner not found".

When I try to open a HP Device Manager scan job, Scan Pro application opens, but the error message says "Sorry, scanner could not be initialized" and "scanner not found." The button new analysis on Scan Pro window is not active, nor is the new analysis options in the drop-down scan menu.

I had a HP complete uninstall using the ctrl-option-Apple key method, reinstalled the software, unchecked and re-selected printer in the preferences system, checked power and USB cables and so forth, but the scanner still does not work. The functions of the printer are working effectively.

    I am running OSX 10.4.11 on a 1.07 GHz PowerPC G4

Control-click the button on the right print queue opens the Deskjet F4400 printer; I can't find an option "Reset Printing System". Control-click in the box of the print/fax area with the list of printers don't open any new windows or provide no option. In my initial post, I neglected to include the fact that my machine is an iBook G4, not a unit of office, if that makes a difference.

  • HP Deskjet F4440: Turn wired printer wireless printer

I see a lot of info on the web lately on turning wired printers and more wireless. Just for fun, I tried my F4440. It didn't work, it was not considered when searched under "Add new printer" in "devices and printers". My question is, can a F4440 be transformed into a printer wireless to connect it via USB to a wireless router?

    Hi @nascarjunky,

But connect a USB cable from the printer to the router is not supported, it might work. You however will not be able to analyze this way. If you are interested in a wireless printer, you can consider calling our technical support, because they may be able to offer a discount on a newer model. Most of the more recent, if not all, models have the ability to print from mobile devices too. May be worth investigating.

  • What is the HP Customer Participation program 13.0 and do I need? DeskJet F4440.

I just want to know if it's too much space because I do not use it. Is this a program my printer needs or is this something els and I can delete?

    Hello

As far as I know, it presents statistics on how the product is used to help HP to develop and improve their products, so I imagine that this could well point out any error that meets your printer.  It is not responsible for the updates - you must have a separately installed application called HP Update which is responsible for this.

Of course, every system is different, but I can say that I uninstalled without loss of functionality - I also remember receiving a similar warning when uninstalling.

As a point of interest, in the early stages of the installation of the suite of the printer, if you select the Advanced Options, you can select not to do to install this application (and other optional components such as Photosmart Essentials, shop supplies etc.).

  • Dell F4440 blue print instead of green

Can someone tell me why my Dell F4440 printer prints green blue color? It starts only recently. Unfortunately I hit 40 photos before I realized what he was doing. He also had lines running through some of the pictures. They were, in some cases running diagonally and vertical in others. I changed the cartridges (twice) both black and color with the same result.

    Hi John,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

It is a model of HP printer?

According to the description of the problem, the question is very specific to the printer or print related settings of Windows Manager. At most, we could you to reinstall the printer drivers and check if the problem persists. If it's a HP Deskjet F4440 all-in-one printer, then you might check out the following link for drivers:

For more support, refer to the HP printer is supported.

If, however, it is a Dell printer model, you can see the following to get your product automatically detected:

  • "Unable to send data to the printer.

I have a HP deskjet F4440 printer.  He has always fought linking to our Mac.  We restart the printer or the computer often to do print, but after doing one or the other it would work normally.  But now it doesn't connect at all.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.  I downloaded and installed the software from the apple support Hewlett-Packard printer.  I restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled my printer.  It presents itself as "in use" but says "Unable to send data to the printer" when I try to send a simple text of pages for print test.  When I try to scan it shows that the scanner is connected, initially said "waiting for scanner", then 'scanner is not available' stops.

Do you have any suggestions?  Thank you!!!
