HP Deskjet F4480: print job is not queue
When you attempt to print from a program or a test page, nothing happens. The print queue shows zero documents in the queue. All the indicators are that the printer is working and connected, etc. The print job simply is not in the queue. There is nothing in the queue. I emptied and stopped and started the spooler. Restarted to hot and cold. Remove the printer and reinstalled. Zilch. * beep *?

print jobs in the queue from the computer to the top, but do not print
1400 series all-in-one print jobs in the queue from the computer to the top, but do not print. Scan and copy functions are fine. What is the problem?
chrismcgo wrote:
I've upgraded to a new computer with windows 7 a month ago. The printer worked fine until last week. I tried the remedy proposed to other Hp users, but the computer will not accept the software provided with the printer, so the printer is always offline. Any other suggestions?
I suggest the following: disconnect the cable USB, then download the full driver recommended from HP here. Once the download is complete, run the Setup program. Do not connect the USB cable until the installation program invites you to do.

I have a HP C4180 printer all-in-one - there is a print job in the queue that will not (said status deletion) delete and nothing I send after printing, but I can remove these print jobs. I've done the troubleshooting - disconnect the printer usb, restarting it. By restarting the computer and still does not work.
Hello
From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R. In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter. Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button. Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find that the document has been deleted.

I write a fix I found for a pretty annoying problem involving 10 Windows and HP wireless printers.
My Deskjet 2546-b printer was printing OK wireless to the point 8.1 of Windows until that I upgraded my computer to Windows 10. Immediately after I upgraded to Windows 10, I could not scan, so I reinstalled the printer software and has worked for a day or two and then the printer would print not unless I restarted the printer or the computer - sometimes 2 or 3 times. This went on for a few weeks, sometimes it would be nice, sometimes, usually after the computer restarts, he would simply go offline. Once, he went offline 3 times when I was printing about 20 postage labels, recently he went 1 week without any problems.
Long story short, after a lot of troubleshooting and to help a friend to HP, I found the problem to be associated with the WSD/service Port in Windows 10. My printer still maintains a stable connection with my Netgear router (wireless to the printer light stays on blue) and I was able to scan from the HP software and I could ping the printer... but printing would be just stuck in the print queue (the spooler service) and the printer showed offline in the queue, hardware and windows devices , or when printing from a program like Windows.
I learned that if I went in devices and printers, until I sent a print job, if the printer showed offline, I could save time by restarting the printer simply and he would come every time (less painful) online.
But it's just a solution and not a solution.
Nothing worked... not even print and scan doctor. The final fix that worked was to define an IP address manually for the printer, and then I put the print driver to use a standard TCP/IP port.
Here is the step by step. Your printer must already be connected to your network (solid blue on printer).
Step 1: Make sure your printer uses a manual IP address
(1) to obtain the IP address of your printer:
- If your printer has a control panel with a menu, it's easy... Just look in the settings menu without wire/report and write your printer IPv4 address.
- If your printer is not a menu of fancy and repower the computer and printer HP Print and Scan Doctor network menu display use (wireless), or you can connect to your router from a web browser (usually 192.168.1.1) and look at attached IPs (like me). Some printers can also print a report of the network when you hold down some buttons everything back up and running, but you will need to search the web site of the Internet or HP to find the process for your printer model - the report displays the IP Address of the printer.
(2) once you have the IP address of the printer number, type this information in a web browser... like 192.168.1.x (where x is the last number of your printer)
Web page of the printer should find - otherwise, use another browser (you can use a tablet or iPad if you want). HP has several different forms of printing of web pages (embedded web servers) depending on your printer model, but they all have a large number of parameters.
(3) since the network tab or section, look for a manual IP address configuration.
(4) suggest an IP address or type in a new. I've personally used suggest and then replaced by the last number 241. You want to use a high number, something in the order of 240 to 250 to reduce the risk of problems caused by your router assign this number to something else on your network. Note the 4 digits for the new IP address manual, you will use them later.
5) click apply and close the web page of the printer.
Step 2: Make the print driver using the manual IP address of the printer
Open the devices and printers in Windows, right click on your printing device and select printer properties. Follow the prompts to get the WSD port and on a new local port...
1) click on the ports tab.
(2) add the Port.
(3) click on after the first screen, and then click new port type.
(4) enter the IP address of the printer.
(5) next.
(6) select the new port.
7) click OK.
You have now two pilots displayed in the printers and devices window, you can now print... but you might not be able to scan and the HP printing software may not work as he might want to lets you add a new printer when you open it... If Yes, proceed to step 3.
Step 3: Remove print devices and install a new one.
Need to do this to get the software back HP synchronized so you can scan.
(1) right click 2 print devices listed in the window of your printer and remove them by clicking on remove device.
(2) open the HP printer Assistant software (from the icon on the desktop or you can search Windows by using the name of your printer).
(3) installation/add a new printer... go fast and a new device icon is added to the printers and devices window.
4) return to the printers and devices window and open the properties of the printer again for your printer icon.
5) go to the ports tab (yet) and you'll see a new selected WSD port, select Port Standard, you created earlier in step 2.
(6) you have now two print devices in the window (again), but now everything should work.
These two devices alone from here on out. Do not remove one and everything should work fine. At least it worked for me. I hope it works for you. I'm hoping a Windows update resolves this problem soon, I see many people who cannot print or scan wireless after they upgraded - not just the stuff of HP.

Hello
I suggest to uninstall the HP software and then reinstall the software from here.
Also, are you connected with a USB cable? I would suggest trying another USB cord, that this might be the reason, you experience the problem.

HP deskjet f4480 printer range: cover open Message, hp deskjet f4480 printer
Hello
I accidentally broke the door sensor for my printer.
The solution says: "Open" and it will not be printed.
I tried to install the broken sensor myself, that says 'C 15' on it.
but I have no idea where it is supposed to go.
Thank you.
Hello @Jen91,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I understand that you have a sensor of door broken on all-in-one printer, HP Deskjet F4480. Unfortunately, the door sensor is not replaceable part in your HP Deskjet printer. Therefore, to correct the error message 'Door open' on your printer a whole unit replacement would be necessary.
I recommend at this point, contacting the Technical Support queue by phone to explore hardware options.
HP Technical Support can be reached at the: 800-474-6836.

print job is not accepted (mavericks of mac OS)
Hi, my HP Laserjet P1102w used to work well, but he kept recently have error saying 'printer in use - use of the printer was not admitted. I'm on macbook pro and OS's mavericks.
I don't know why I get this error message, since there is no jobs in the queue, and my printer seems to be installed, when I go to System Preferences. I also tried to reset, but the problem persists.
I use wireless printing, since I can't use USB in this operating system.
Any help would be appreciated - my printer has had a lot of problems when I tried to print wireless (mainly due to the loss of connection), and I really don't want to reprint problems!

DeskJet d2680: printer itself settles not on computer
I installed everything correctly the first time and seemed to have a test normal printing.
However, when I tried to print a text document there skip lines. Help suggested I remove the driver and reinstall. I uninstalled all the software and uninstalled the printer from the Device Manager. When the installation came to the part where it installs the printer, the computer has detected the printer, it will not install on the computer. Any suggestions? It's a HP Deskjet D2680, running windows XP.
What error message did you get during the troubleshooting steps?

M127fw MFP: How to delete the print jobs in the queue?
When I get an error message when trying to print, I keep trying to print. This means that I can hit 'print' five times for the same document, because I hit 'print' whenever I think I might finally have something fixed.
The problem is that HP never forget any of these applications - when it finally starts printing - it always prints every single job - meaning that I get multiple copies of jobs for which I got an error message.
Where is the interface to view and delete these jobs? I can't find it on the printer itself. Is there an interface where I can delete jobs in the queue?
Go to devices and printers and double click on the printer icon. Now click on something like seeing what is printing a list of documents should appear and you can pass by and remove whatever ones you want.

"Laserjet 1022n Windows Update", causing problems printing: print jobs do not print
Hello
A few days ago I installed upgrading Windows Laserjet 1022n on my Windows 7 64 bit and since then I can not print a page normally: the page does not print. I use a TCP/IP network port.
I made several attempts to resolve this problem:
-uninstall the printer driver and install it again (I tried the latest version on the HP site and an older one that worked perfectly before)
-update the firmware of the printer to the latest version on the HP site.
When I put the printer in pause and start the print job, you can see in the list. Resumption of the printer, printing starts on the printer but you see that the job remains in the list, flashes again and again. The printer keeps printing the same page.
I don't know what I can do to solve this problem. There is no way to uninstall the update of the HP Laserjet 1022n software because it does not appear in the list of installed programs (course list is also op updates from windows updates).
I have same problem printing to the same printer from another PC Windows 7 (with the same windows update done)
But I have no problem printing with my laptop on an other network printers.
Is there someone who has the same problem and how to solve?
Thank you for answer
I found the solution on this site: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/59912-29-1022n-printer-stop-printing
Just uncheck the chekbox "enable two-way communication" on the "Ports" tab of the properties of the printer and it works normally again!

To scan the I have to open the HP Deskjet F2480 printer/scanner application on my computer, but it is not located in the HP folder. When I click on my departure, select button, select all programs, HP says it is empty. I know that my computer recognizes my printer because it prints, but I need to be able to scan documents, and I have no idea how I can do this, can you please help me? Thanks, Jim
It sounds as if you have installed the base driver. There is more software available. What was download it should have been more than 117 MB. If the download was @ 37 MB, then it's the base driver.
