  What a nice printer.

  58 57-56 best combination if you need to print on plain paper.  Excellent for photo printing.

  58 57-59 best for photo printing, especially for the B & W photos or photo with dark contrast.

  I have a Photosmart Premium C309a printer. The solution Center tells me my ink cartridge Photosmart HP564XL black is low and my HP 564XL Photo Photosmart ink cartridge is ok. Both cartridges are physically different in size. To further complicate things, the boxes of replacement are both labeled Photosmart 564XL. A black picture and a black who does not match the cartridge already indicated on the solution Center. So, how can I know who is who?

  The black cartridge is the right side of the printer, next to the yellow cartridge.  The black cartridge is larger than the other cartridges.   The Photo cartridge is adjacent to magenta.  Additional information that can help identify the correct cartridge are shown here.

  Thank you for your response. A few days at the start of the printer, Center apparently recognized HP solutions HP cartridges and displays ink levels. The opinion of "non HP ink" had disappeared. Everything seems to work now. I guess it was just a one-time glich.
