  • deskjet1510 HP: deskjet ink 61

I have a 1510 deskjet printer and must replace black ink. The ink used was originally of 61 but I can not find ink 61 here in the Middle East but 122 compatible sound says the ink in my printer. Unfortunately, after I put the new ink (122) the printer says that it is not compatible. What seems to be the problem? I hope you can help me thanks!

    Hi je1109,

It sounds like your printer is regionalized to work with ink cartridges where you can live.

Now that you are in the Middle East the region sells only 122 ink cartridge.

Here's a similar post that describes this problem:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/inkjet-printing/regionalization-reset-Photosmart-B110/m-p/1307849#M242833

You will want to contact HP Customer Support and ask for a "regionalization Reset."

This will allow your printer to use cartridges of the region where you live now.

  • Deskjet1510: Deskjet1510 install not on XP SP3

I try to install the XP SP3.

I tried all combinations of things I could think or others suggested on this site.

The icons are on the desktop... shop supplies etc.

When I plug the printer in, windows detects it and says it's installing, then it stops and says it cannot locate a device.

    I have installed .NET

I don't want the .NET framework on my system. The list of requirements on the box does not include the .NET framework, if that were the case I him would not have bought it.

Is there an alternative or generic driver or a manual way to install one on the CD without .NET? I don't need fancy results or software, printing of paper-based documents.  Thank you.

    Never mind, it worked.

If anyone is interested, the attempt of the failed to install from the disc provided at least gets the registered scanner, so it is accessible through "Scanners and cameras", then I just a manual installation by the ILO printers and faxes for a "HP Deskjet" on the virtual USB port, then changed the driver "hp deskjet 990c. I think you should just be able to install the 990c to the top, but that's what I did just in case. The driver is set default print gray scale, so just switch to color at:

Printers and faxes > right click on 990c > properties > Advanced tab > default printing > paper/quality tab

From there you can also press the 'Advanced' button if you need to change the size of the paper (i.e. at A4)

Impression. The sweep. No .NET I am happy.
