HP dv6-6c10us: HP dv6-6c10us Broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter does not work after windows 10 installed

I have a laptop HP dv6-6c10us with a Broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter.  It worked fine on Win 7.  When I upgraded to win 10, it has stopped working.  The driver has not been updated since 06/02/13.

Until the driver is updated by Broadcom or HP, this computer is now a desktop computer.

Any suggestions on how to get the adapter wireless on Windows 10?

I recommend you to go back and do a system restore to a point before started to install the automatic updates, and where worked the wireless.

Then download this tool that stops updates to install automatically.

https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/3073930

Hide all of them and then install one by one until you find the one that is to destroy the wireless connection.

When you have found the culprit just hide it again and it will not be installed.

You can create a system restore point each time you install an update.

Tedious, but you should get where you want to be.

  • Qosmio G50 802.11n enabled but does not work properly

    Hello

I get a new Qosmio G50 on Christmas and now I have a little problem. I use a draft N of D-link access point and I want to use 802.11n mode with my qosmio. But I have some problems with it. I activated the 802.11n mode in the peripheral band Manager and channelbandwidth 2.4 & 5.2 are both set to "auto". But I don't get the 300mbps, 60mbps is what I get. My father has a portable computer from a different manufacture with also a 802.11n wireless card but not Intel and other mobile, I get the 300mbps! I put books together in the same room, the other get the qosmio 300mbps varies from 1 to 81mbps or more.

-Does anyone know what goes wrong or what I need to change something in the Device Manager? I heard that many other intel WiFi 5100 owners also do not receive the speed of 300mbps.

    can someone help me?

    Greetz

Have you tried turning off modes of 802.11g/b/a by assigning "802.11n only?

Access device wireless LAN settings in Device Manager to change these settings.

Remember not that 300Mpbs speed signal. Actual data transfer speed (less overhead) is less than 100 Mbps

    Hi all

My first post to this forum - I have a new laptop of Toshiba Satellite A660 - only had for about 4 weeks and it turns out be a disaster for me...

Firstly - I spend weeks getting everything on and configured as I want - then the hard drive begins to die...

I just returned it service center Toshiba and NOW wifi has stopped working...
Internal broadcom wireless adapter doesn't work - but according to windows and built-in Diagnostics it works...

HOWEVER - when I try to use wireless with the built-in adapter may not detect all wireless networks...

I then plug in my adapter netgear usb wireless backup and I can pick up and connect both of my wireless home networks...
I am moving abroad in a few weeks and need to know that my laptop will work/be reliable and not have any problems-if anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated.

  • Atheros AR9285 802.11 wireless card does not work.

Wireless for my laptop HP that atheros AR9285 recently stopped detecting my router while I have my Netgear G54 WGR614v10 encryption card any type of security, I chose, but it detects my router if I switch off my encryption.

I read a post from Paul_Tikkanen Atheros WLAN Driver corrects connection issues with many new routers (Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, etc.), I downloaded the driver and installed it but it has not made a difference.

I also watched to make sure that bluetooth was not on, I read somewhere that it might interfere with my wireless card, but it was not on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you

    Windows 7

OK, this is strange, and then we will have to check each setting security on your router and your network card to make sure they match. Access your routers webpage bios and go to network security, if possible on your PC to cable and take note of the security settings and compare them with the security of network adapter settings.

    ~ Bios of router ~
    * Usually, which would be the mode key staff/Enterprise wpa or wep.
    * Then check that your type of encryption on the router security example would be AES or TKIP.
    * And then check your 802.11 mode.

    ~ NIC ~.
    * go to start button or charms right mouse click Select Network option and click. * highlight of the WiFi adapter which is having right mouse questions click.
    * then choose status to the next screen, click Properties wireless.
    * then select Security tab, try this on your laptop which works as well to make sure everything fits.

Something must have went wrong with the installation of the driver. I think you need to remove or back the driver, restart your laptop and let windows update or HP support assistant app find the right driver for you if it does not.

  • Pavilion DV6 6c14nr: Wireless button does not work

Has taken the plung and improved my DV6 Win10 laptop to see how it works.  Had to do a clean install, because no upgrade would not work.

After installation, the wireless button does not work.  LED stays red all the time, and when I push it, it activates / deactivates the airplane mode.

Check the support site HP for this PC, downloaded and installed the driver wireless Win8 button (sp59835) and it does not work. Button LED stays red.

Searched these forums and found another driver (sp64043) from the button for Win10 wireless driver and installed it.  Still does not work.

    Information on equipment is: ACPI\HPQ6001\2 & daba3ff & 0

The details for the wireless button said drivers this devide requires additional installation

Unless I can get the wireless button to work, I'll be forced to go back to Win7.

    Help, please.

UPDATED - so others find this post know what works!

    Restored image backup Win7.

Disconnected the LAN cable and activated the wireless button.

Win7 removed and properly installed Win10.

    Wireless button works NOW!

So basically, if the wireless is turned off before the Win10 install, it remains disabled and then nothing will allow it.

  • HP Pavilion dv6t-7000: Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter does not connect to 802.11n network

I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000, equipped with the Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter.  For the life of me, I can't get it to connect to my home network when implemented as 802.11n.  They connect other devices. If I change my router 802.11 g, but no other change, doe HP connect. But if I return the router to 802.11n, HP sees the network, and it correctly identifies as a 802.11n network, but does not connect.

    The router is a D - Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4 ghz)

    Woo-Hoo.

  • RALink 802.11n Wireless Adapter - connects at startup but the dsiconnects after a few minutes

    Hello

I have a HP Pavillion DV6-3125SA and just reinstalled Windows 7 Home Prem after installing a new hard drive. Initially everything (including the wireless adapter) had been working perfectly, and then after the last round of updates (as you know that get you about 1 million of updates on the re - install) my wireless adapter started to misbehave. He started sporadically disconnect and reconnect, but now it gets disconnected and remains disconnected. It still works fine at startup. I checked that the driver software is updated, more I also uninstalled and let it automatically re - install. An interesting point to note, is that when I linked to go in Device Manager to disable (and re-enable), Device Manager freezes and unresponsive.

Someone at - it had a similar problem or know a solution?

    Thanks for your help.

    Megan

    Its a cell phone, right?

Run windows Update >... settings disable the updates recommended leaving ONLY the important updates for automatic installation.

Visit the HP support, specific to your model, and then reinstall the chipset and wireless driver

  • HP Probook 6465b: Broadcom 4313gn does not work after the upgrade to Windows 10

My laptop is HP Probook 6465b (model 2012) it came with Win 7 Pro pre-installed.

I upgraded Win 10 and after that a Wi - Fi connection does not work. Then I tried the new facility, but it's the same thing.  I have come back to Win 7, but I would like to upgrade Win 10 if I can get the WiFi adpter for work.  My laptop otherwise works fine and it is not that old so I am confused why this wi - fi adapter gives me grey hair.

    Here is what happened:

Just after upgading wi - fi works very well until the first stop. After reboot, free WiFi does not work and there is no wi - fi adapter in Device Manager. However, it's there, but it is hidden.

I tried freezing and relocation of the map and I downloaded the latest drivers from HP Support, but I can't get the adapter to work.

To get the internet to work I plugged USB wi - fi adapter and suddenly the WiFi Broadcom card started working also. She even worked after unplugging the wi - fi USB adapter but after reboot internal wi - fi adapter was missing again well (hidden and does not), it is too compligated to do each time and she even does not work every time, just every now and then.

    Any suggestions?

  • HP dv6-3042tx - replacement hard drive? Computer would not start after Windows update

    Hi guys,.

I'd love to help I bought a HP DV6-3042TX about a year and half ago.  I hadn't used for a while and when I turned it on, he had to do updates etc. for windows 7.  These all downloaded and installed.  However after they have installed I couldn't restart my computer.

I did a diagnostic boot test and got in return

    Memory test: PAST

    INTELLIGENT control: PAST

    DST short: FAILURE

    FAILURE ID: RLGD7S - 53: 662-XD002J-60QR03

    Product ID: WYRFSPA #ABG

    Hard drive 1

This mean that my hard drive is actually dead and replacement needs? If so is anyway to recover my files and what model of hard drive can I replace it with?

    Any help would be great

    Thank you

    Hello

The drive Self Test (DST) short error seems to indicate the hard drive is faulty and must be replaced.

Regarding your existing files, a possible way to try to recover your files from a disk non-boot is following the process described in the link below.  The CD of the Ubuntu operating system you create can run from the CD alone (IE it doesn't have to be installed on the hard drive) and I've often found to successfully extract data even a hard failure.  When you created the CD, follow the instructions and see if you can save your existing files.

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/use-Ubuntu-Live-CD-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-Windo...

Replacing the hard drive is a fairly simple procedure.

The player at the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop.

750 GB hard drive for laptop.

The procedure to replace the hard drive begins Page 55 of your & Maintenance Guide.

Once this is done, simply use your recovery DVDs to reinstall the operating system on the new drive - see here for more details.

If you do not have your recovery discs, you can order a replacement set using the link below.

    Order HP recovery disks.

If you have a problem with this link, order them directly from HP.
