HP Elite 8000 LTS

Just bought a refurbished 8000 Elite, specifications:

Intel Core 2 Quad 2.83 GHz

8 GB Ram

HARD DRIVE 750 GB

Optical drive DVD - RW

Win 7 Professional 64 bit

Restore CD, apparently no recovery on the HARD drive partition

1 year distributor warranty parts and labor, which made a very attractive purchase.

Price was very good.

Question: Do I need create a restore for OS partition?

(If so, please link me to a site with very detailed as to how to do this)

I'm OK without a restore partition?

I don't want to do anything but the OS and software on the drive HARD internal 750 GB.

Will use about 100 GB for software and OS overall.

I have several external HDD for files and other documents, music, etc.:

1 TB (principal of files and documents, no music)

1.5 TB (backup BOF 1.0 TB, using extra for music and videos)

250GB (extra backup of important documents / files only)

as well as a smaller 120 GB for minor things.

Your opinion will be appreciated about my need to create a restore partition for backup OS the 750 GB HARD internal disk.

The RESTORE disc is in my hands for restoration: A WIN 7 Pro 64-bit with Service Pack 1 disc.

Thanks in advance

Microsoft Surface Pro 3. 256 GB hdd, 8 GB of RAM. WIN 10; Docking station; 4 TB WD My Cloud mirror SAR for the storage file. HP LaserJet Pro M201 and HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 AIO. HP Elite 8000 Slim, SFF, Core 2 Quad 2.83 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 750 GB HDD, WIN10 (used mainly for broadcasting and as a PC Backup)

If you have a CD/DVD of restoration for the OS, and you are comfortable to restore this disc in the future when you have problems, then having a restore hard disk partition is not completely necessary.

If you have a copy of the software such as Ghost of imagery, you can, after you have installed your operating system, the software and drivers that you want them to be, backup a disk image to start to make you save time if a full restore of the basic configuration is really necessary.

Looks like you have disks hard redundant backup for really important things - data - so you should be safe enough without worrying.

I plan on adding an SSD on my desk. I am running Duo Core Intel E8500 3.16, with 16 G of ram, my BIOS is 7 786 v01.02 10/22/2009 should I update? If so, how?  Machine works perfectly now just wants more speed. Thank you

    Hello:

There is no need to update the BIOS to install an SSD.  I have one in my 8000 Elite CMT and it works very well and certainly faster than the standard mechanical hard drive.

However, you should know that the inverter can operate only one SATA III hard drive to the SATA II speed.  The first HP desktop PC in this class who could run SATA III drives high-speed SATA III is the 8200 Elite.

Because you run Windows 10, your only option would be to Flash the BIOS with one of the methods based BACK.

Do not use the Windows flash-based.

You can easily Flash the BIOS by downloading and running the latest file to update the BIOS of your PC.  You can select the Windows 7 file in the support page.

An instruction page will open and give you the different ways you can Flash the BIOS.

I always choose that is the BIOS F10 flash method.

Everything you need for that is a USB flash drive formatted with the FAT 32 file system and follow the instructions on the page that opens.

I want to change the boot order to allow booting from the ISO disks.

Keyboard F10 doesn't bring up the BIOS screen, and the machine starts just in Win7.

What works is by exchanging the mouse and keyboard usb for mouse and existing keyboars.

Looks like that the installation of Win 7 bothered recognition of USB designs.

  • Elite 8000 LTS: recommendation of graphics card

    Hello

Can I get recommendations for a graphics card that does not require a new power supply? I'm not a gamer so just one map banal regular that runs on win 10 would suffice.

    @esebm1, welcome to the forum.

Here are the computer hardware reference Guide .  Also, here are the illustrated parts and Service card for this.  Page 2 of illustrated parts and Service card in the section titled "Other fees" is a list of compatible video cards for the motherboard.  These are cards which should work with the power supply unit (PSU) 240W.  Most newer cards require at least 400W to work properly.  I was never able to find a power supply with more power with the form factor that you need.

  • HP elite 8000 usdt: HP elite 8000 usdt audio good DP

    Hello

strugglin for 2 days im getting my hp elite 8000 usdt pc for video and audio rendering on my Samsung smart TV.

The problem is that I have no audio on my TV through displayport to hdmi adapter adapter.

According to what ive read on the internet, I should have in Device Manager, under SOUND, VIDEO and GAME CONTROLLERS:

    Intel display Audio

Realtek audio driver my pc just poster.

I mention that ive installed all the drivers from the hp driver support page, ive updated video driver support page intel and still no luck...

My question is: is hp 8000 usdt displayport makes audio + video, or simply video?

If displayport does not sound, what options should I, to get audio from the pc to my Samsung TV

    Thank you.

    Hello:

You can't get the audio of the view port in the dc7900 and 8000 Elite models.

The only suggestion I can offer is to try a green audio adaptor cable clear output to PC jack, if your PC has the RCA Red and white stereo, made entry.

    Something like that...

  • HP Pro 6000 Elite 8000: Does Hp 6000 Pro and Elite 8000 Supports 600 Watt Power Supply connector having 6 pin

I want to upgrade my suuply standard power of 300 watts to 600 watts in my two HP 6000 minitour pro and Elite 8000 Tower systems. Is the Board supports power supplies good as brand take heat?

I would not classify a Thermaltake PSU as a very good brand.

Unfortunately, your desktop PC uses an exclusive style of PSU, so standard ATX PSU will not work.

Upgrading the owners 300 Watt PSU 600W ATX POWER supply is not just going to work.

Your desktop PC is one that is not very conducive to the upgrade.

  • HP elite 8000 usff master key bios password

    Hello all, need help

I bought recently used HP elite 8000 usff

    great small desktop computer

Problem is the main key to the password for bios, product number is AU248AV and serial nuber is (deleted content)

I also tried unplugging the power supply and push and hold the CMOS on the motherboard, no results.

    Help, please!

    Hi, @DimitriSerbia :

Here are the instructions to clear the BIOS on your PC password.

There should be a green rider of password, you need to remove to clear the P / w.

See the general troubleshooting guide to find out how to erase the password - Annex B, BIOS 59 page.

    http://h20565.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display? sp4ts. OID = 3459241 & docid = emr_na-c01162207 & docLocale...

Failure to erase the BIOS P/W stringent security has been enabled in BIOS which prevents erasure of the BIOS password.

The only solution for this would be to replace the motherboard.

The rigorous security BIOS setting was added starting with the model of dc7900 business desktop series.

  • Elite 8000 network latency increases regularly

    Hello

I have about 100 HP Elite 8000's with the Intel 82567lm-3 internal network card.  XP SP3. The problem is when they are idle or used, the network latency will increase gradually. It is an internal network server.  I have a number of elite 8200 which do not have this problem, it isn't the network infrastructure.

I use a product called tracer of ping to get a graphic history of latency.  Latency increases progressively up to approximately 300ms when users compain.  A restart will clear the latency to 0-2 ms for an indefinite period. Sometimes half an hour later, sometimes instantly, the latency will start to climb again.

    What has been done;

Updated all the latest drivers from the HP site. Upgrade to the latest version of the BIOS.   Upgrade to the latest version of the Intel 82567lm-3 driver.

Reimage with clean an image with the last softpaqs Softpaq download manager (platform of MDT, so all previous drivers are robbed and last hp installed softpaqs).

    Nothing is resolved.

Anyone else encounter this or similar?

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to avoid damage

    on your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen,

Restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow

    the following steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed

hard disks or disk hard cnotrollers. Check your hard ddrive

to make sure that it is correctly configured and completed.

Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Technical information:

    Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

If your PC has a SATA controller that is defined for the sata mode so your lack of sata drivers XP installation disc.  You might look into the bios to check if you have a sata controller sata mode.

If the above is the case, then you have options IF you want to use XP.

    1. put the sata controller in IDE mode in bios

    2. build a disk to install XP with sata drivers via a process of fusion ("slipstreaming") using NLite.

If you do not really want to use XP then get Windows 7.

  • Graphics card suited Elite 8000-SFF

    Hello

I want to update the graphics card for my desktop SFF PC: HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF (Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 3.33 Ghz processor, 4 G of DDR3 RAM, Intel GMA 4500). I know that the Radeon HD 6350 will work well in my system. Could you please recommend a graphics card for my system is better than the HD 6350? Radeon HD 7750 half-height works well?

    Thanks in advance

You know that the limit will be this anemic 135w power supply. He'll be a card low profile bus-powered.

I think you have done your homework well because as best as I can tell, the low profile 7750 HD is your best bet:

  • 8000: workstation elite 8000 ssd

I would like to add an ssd in my 8000 workstation, so I bought one with a converter. but the converter is too small (bought several of them, 5inch will not fit), anyone know how to get an ssd in a workstation?

    You are the very welcome.

You must use the anti-vibration mounting screws.

They are what holds the adapter in the Bay, as the HDD 3.5 works '.

    These...

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/4pcs-new-hard-drive-machine-screws-Z200-6000-8000-8200-dc7800-dc7900-original-/141824401480?hash=item210564a048:g:g08AAOSwQoFWOIGG

Place them on the sides of the adapter and slide it into the Bay until it locks in place.

I did the same thing to my 8200 Elite, but the adapter was different... comes from Intel and it enters the lower drive Bay, but I still had to use the disk hard retroviral-mounting screws.

  • 8000 WE595PA SFF #ABG: how to set up dual display on Compaq 8000 LTS

    Hi E1,

I have setup my desktop computer 8000 Elite SFF to run two monitors via the VGA port and the port of display using a display port to VGA.

When everything is connected and I start the computer, nothing appears on the screen and after about 10 seconds, the fan starts very hard.

I can unplug the display port adapter and then turns on the screen connected to the VGA port. I can then plug in the monitor connected to the display via the adapter port and it works very well and watch the display mode double perfectly.

My Device Manager shows all drivers installed (outside Serial Port PCI I consider as a matter of standard fairy with most legacy systems running W10).

Am I missing something here? I really need to be disconnected from the graphics card and then after plug Windows startup?

Thanks in advance. My brain is slowing down trying to figure these days, I can tell you these things.

Thank you, I tried your advice and I always had the problem so I loaded default bios and that seemed to fix the problem.

  • Compaq Elite 8000 PC Convertible (CMT) E8500

I updated my BIOS for v1.13 but I can't ME Firmware update called sp54355 updated 5.2.1.1001 to version 5.2.5.1039 update; It acts as if it is not for my computer model type; However, it does not say whether a 8000 Elite (CMT)

Also, I've updated my the Active Intel Client Manager HECI device driver, but I don't know where to go to see the update has occurred.  I see nothing in Device Manager.

Also, I wonder if there's an update for my Ethernet which is Intel 82567LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection.

If you can answer the three questions, I would be very grateful.

Just to make sure that you can see what I've done and perhaps adivse me something I might have missed; I did all the updates that are listed below on my computer using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

I upgraded my Realtek 6.0.1.6383; BIOS for V1.13, Nvidia to 8.17.12.9708, my chipset to 5.2.0.1008 I still cannot be confirmed

    Hello:

I can answer some of your questions and provide some friendly advice on updating the ME firmware.  Do not.

You use the PC in a corporate network environment where you need manage the remote PC?

If this is not the case, there is absolutely no need to worry about the AMT/HECI, etc..

Everything I have read are the forum messages unhappy members who manage to firmware update the ME, then their PC no longer works and produce a kind of halt of BIOS code.

So I can't help you with that one.  I have an 8000 Elite CMT a 8200 Elite CMT and they work very well with their BIOS updated and the original ME firmware installed.

Always remember... If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

HECI: This is another term for the Intel Management Engine Interface and you can find the driver for it by going into Device Manager, expand the peripheral category system and you will find a device labeled Intel Management Engine Interface.

A click on it and click on the driver tab.  I use W8.1 on my 8000 Elite but I think on W7, there's a driver named HECI sys (clicking on the driver Details button) and you can look at the date of the version of the driver from the engine main screen window. In any event the HECI driver installs the Intel Management Engine interface device.

The details of the pilot on mine show some something or other metadata.

Finally, you can find the latest version of the driver for the NIC directly from Intel on the link below.
