  I have a hp envy 15 t-j013tx which seems to be essentially just a 15 t - j100 with some tweaks like CPU i7-4702 RESUMES.

  I have a backlit keyboard and I notice that the keys do not always work.  For example, pressing the lower edge QWERTY keys wouldn't do anything.  I have to press dead center and hard so that the registry keys press.  It is very annoying and it slows down my typing because I constantly have to come edit lack of key strokes.  It's like every 5-6 keys, the keyboard will not register this essential feature.

  Does anyone else have this problem?  It's driving me crazy, but I can't use the keyboard as it...

  Hi BennyC,

  I see that you have problems with your keyboard and I'll be happy to help you. Check if the filter keys are turned on. One of the functions of the filter keys is to ignore brief or repeated key strokes. The link below will show you how to do this. Click on "Computer beeps when you type" which will show you how to make sure the filter keys are disabled. You can also watch the keys stuck and see if anythings blocks keys.

  Thing that you do is use the Hardware Diagnostic tools to see if there is a problem with the keyboard.

  I just got my new HP Envy 13 d045tu and not even 1 week, I can't start.

  When I press the power button, it turns on for about 5 seconds then dies again. Absolutely Nothing appeared on the screen, not even a flicker.

  I have tried those doing hard reset stuff like by pressing the power button for 20 seconds, the power button / stop + mute all these and nothing do not seem to work? What should I do? Its only a few days old!

  It turns out that it is a manufacturing defect. Application of a new replacement unit (5 days only), technician says probably motherboard problem. Thanks anyway!

  Hi I have a dv6 Hp Envy with windows 8, and just today when I logged into Skype to talk to my girlfriend the microphone did not work. I tried to look it up for all the possible solutions, but nothing works. For more information, I tried to control devices disabled, but nothing changes the only time it doesn't is when I check or uncheck disconnected devices. I do understand not why he should be cut if its integrated and also if suggest you to just right click and set as default I tried it and the game, as the default buttons are two gray and unclickable I tried to update driver as well, but nothing as it worked either. Please help it is very frustrating.

  It turns out that my laptop had a few updates that had not finished and it was exceeded. I did the first step, and it helped! Thank you very much for your help, now I can talk on Skype again!

  Hey, I don't know exactly know what happened with my phone. Suddenly, my microphone work on LINE, Whatsapp and almost all other applications that use mic. Except, camera and when someone call me on my number.

  But it does not work on whatsapp and LINE calls. And it also does not work when I snapchat. Only works on the default camera Apps and call through my number.

  I tried:

  -restart my phone

  -hard reset and blink? Reset with the power and the "home" button.

  TL; Dr:

  my microphone does not work on every apps on my phone except calls through number and approx. of default camera it gives you just that silence when I play it on voice notes. But it works when I record yourself using videos on the default camera app.

  I see from your post, some applications have a problem to access your Microphone. I know how it is important to ensure that your applications have access to the Microphone and can use this feature. I have a few things I want to try.

  First, tap Settings on your iPhone and then scroll to the last section that lists your apps. Select the applications that use the microphone and make sure that the Microphone is activated (green).

  Then, follow the steps in the article below to close these applications:

  Force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  Then, test the microphone in these applications again and see if it works.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button

  I get the Webcam work properly in Fedora 22 core 4.0.6 (Incidentally, kernel 4.11 does not yet exist, so what kernel do you use )
  I suggest therefore that you check the software for the Webcam settings is not simply disabled:

  F2 at the STATION
  Go to advanced > system configuration
  Make sure the Webcam is turned on.
