HP ENVY 13-d021nd: updated HP ENVY 13-d021nd memory

Hello

Perhaps, I would buy HP ENVY 13-d021nd with 4 GB memory. Is it possible to upgrade to 8 GB of memory? It's the last model released in 2015! I found the specs to a PDF from 2009, but I can't find one in 2015? Some critics say that it is possible to replace/upgrade. Some say that 4 GB is the maximum...

Of course, I can find a 4 GB of SDRAM DDR3L, but not if it is possible to upgrade to 8 GB.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

Arjan

Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

Support for LPDDR3-1600 dual channel memory, amount of memory on-board

Support for system maximum of 8192 MB RAM in the following configurations: ● 8192 MB (16 GB, 256 MB × 16 × 4 × 4 parts) ● 4096 MB (8 GB, 128 MB × 32 × 2 × 4 pieces)

The laptop comes in a concert 4 and 8 GB version and memory is "onboard" meaning it is welded directly on the motherboard so no upgrade is possible.

EN 57 is the size of your storage. There is no iPad with 57 GB of memory (live RAM). Have you tried to hold the home and power buttons until the iPad reboots? Also try double clicking the home button and close any open applications.

  • HP Envy 14 1085eo memory update

    Hello

I wonder what kind of memory I can put in my envy 14 "1085eo.

    Is - this 204pin sodimm PC3-10600? like this: http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=574057

I asked as everywhere and I can not get a response. not even hp support phone could help me. and I think it is a bit poor, not to know their own products.

    Hello:

Here are the specifications of your laptop:

    http://support.HP.com/US-en/document/c02452446=

You can install PC3-10600 2 x 4 GB (8 GB total). Don't do that if you are running an operating system 64-bit or 4 GB will not be seen by Windows.

The memory you listed should work. I do not understand Norwegian, but I don't suppose that means Ikke? As in the non - ECC?

The memory of that your laptop uses is no ecc and not stamped.

  • TouchSmart HP Envy 15-J104sa memory card reader does not

I took delivery of a HP Touchsmart from Envy 15 - J104sa, running Windows 8.1 this week and the internal memory card reader does not work. It does not recognize SD cards (I tried more than one) and continues as if nothing has been inserted; Don't display an error message. The cards work on my previous HP laptop. The only way to get the laptop to show an inserted SD card is to run the driver software update (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63001-63500/sp63415.exe) whenever an SD card is inserted; This must be done with the card in the reader. If the software is running and then the card nothing happens. If the card is ejected and then re-inserted (or a new card inserted) it is not recognized and the process must be restarted and the driver reinstalled even though nothing has changed.

Can someone please help me with this question or I'll have to go back to the HP laptop. I do a lot of photography so being able to read fast and reliable SD card is extremely important for me; It is not a problem, I was expecting a new laptop all right out of the box.

    Thanks to you all.

Unfortunately not, updates of driver solves the problem, but an update of the BIOS through the HP helper application seems to have resolved the issue. While I appreciate there were not specific drivers available in my opinion, it is difficult to accept that HP should be able to release a model where they know the equipment are not fully supported by the operating system and in this case does not work.

  • Envy 15 k233ca: memory upgrades and hhd

I'm trying to find out if the k233ca has a capacity of upgrade. By reading the plug here and there, the motherboard has 2 slots and there is 1 to 8 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3L module.

When I called customer service to see if there was a favorite of the seller, they told me that the Ram was not expandable as the machine has only 1 location and tot of the MB does support up to 8 GB.

    Well...

As a technician, I'm leaning towards believing the former rather than the latter, and since I did not open upward again, I checked Everest and it shows 2 slots, one with a 8 GB module and a location empty.

Before I open the unit to find this information for me, I wondering if someone is more familiar with this device, or can point me to a more detailed specifications and current page?

    My questions are specifically,

    1. What is the model of the motherboard more precisely and will support 16 gig?
    2. This is a configuration of dual slot, so I can use 2 x 8 GB modules?
    3. Can I use a low latency Ram? replace the original module to match of course...
    4. Is there a QVL for this MB?

Now for the HHD, a question... This machine will support SSD?

    Based on the HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC HP ENVY Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service Guide of m7, it seems you should be able to switch to 16 GB of RAM and an SSD as follows;

    Memory

    Two SODIMM slots
Support of the DDR3L - 1600 MHz Dual Channel
Supports up to 16 GB of RAM in the following configurations:

    ● 16384 MB total memory (8192 × 2)

Double storage configuration for the HP Envy 17 computer models
    ● 1 TB (5400) 9. 5 mm + 256 GB SSD SATA in m2 (TLC)
    ● 1 TB (5400) 9. 5 mm + 256 GB SSD SATA in m2 (MLC)

Please note that it requires an extensive disassembly and reassembly of the computer to make these improvements, including

remove, replace or loosening the screws up to 83. Also, note that other RAM/HDD/SSD configurations can run on this computer. It may be possible to have a facility that includes 16GB of RAM, a standard SATA III SSD and/or m2 SATA SSD card, but you will have to experiment to see specifically what works on your model.

  • HP Envy 700-210 memory type

I just bought a HP Envy 700-210 and it comes with a sing 8 GB of RAM, but it is listed as PC3L.  I have a memory from my old computer, but it is PC3 memory instead.  The memory of higher voltage will work with the motherboard?  I have 2 x 4 GB PC3 and 2 x 2 GB PC3 I wanted to put in rather than the simple 8 GB PC3L

    Thanks for the reply.

PC3 is 1.5V, PC3: is 1.35v. That your system is actually PC3, just confrontation the channnels double and be happy.

I want to improve my memory, but im not painful if my laptop can suport 1866 mhz memory or not! I know that the 1600 mhz its not working because I have 8 GB of memory in.

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

See point 5 of p. 28 and p. 44-45. Yes, you can install an mSATA WSSD (not m2) but it can be used an a cache drive Intel Rapid Storage acceleration. A 24 concert WSSD was optional, but you can use a 32 gig. It cannot be the primary boot disk. After the back if you want more detailed instructions. You better install a 2.5 inch SATA SSD in place and place of the mechanical hard drive, but you can install a cache acceleration mSATA drive and it will work somewhat like an SSD at a lower cost. The advantages of this device have disappeared as SSD prices continue to fall, however.

  • HP ENVY m4-1015dx Notebook PC: HP ENVY m4-1015dx MEMORY Management error?

I have a freshy installed OS Windows 8.1 on my computer everything is new. I went out and bought a PNY 8 GB of RAM card for my computer. After installing it on my computer, I checked to see if it upgraded and of course, I had 12GBS of RAM instead of 8 GB. So I used my computer normally, light stuff like Internet browsing and etc. Then all of a sudden, it displays a screen of crash saying "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" on this subject.

Whenver I put in the other RAM card it works fine.

I have two RAM slots, we have the 4 GB and got the 8 GB at this error.

Very strange. I tried the memory diagnostics and it said I had a hardware error.

    Any help?

EDIT: Also, I currently use 8GB and 4GB (RAM that gives me problems) to write this very post.

    SOLVED!

    I used two different brands.
