HP Envy 14 1190ea AMD driver problem

Hello.

I searched for some time now to update the drivers for the graphics card processor. But I have not found a solution. Yes, after running Windows Update two days ago, I discovered that the switchable graphics are no longer working and everytime I try the AMD Catalyst Control Center it tells me that there are no configurable devices available on the laptop so that it stops. I've tried a system recovery point, but the problem persists. What should I do to get the necessary drivers? Is there anyway that you could provide a link or a solution to a solution?

Thank you for the support.

EDIT

I will try to uninstall the drivers from Device Manager and reinstall it to see if it's the right solution.

Hello:

The problem is that you cannot update the graphics drivers for your model.

The only factor you want to use is this one.

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-101852-1 & CC = US & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 4063 & Product = 4313929 & sw_lang =

What happened is that Windows Update has found an updated driver for the switchable graphics Intel part, but now this driver caused the amd radeon gpu to stop working.

So, you're right.

You need to go to Device Manager, uninstall the Intel graphics driver windows update installed, reboot and reinstall the driver graphic AMD above.

Then ignore or hide updates you get for the Intel gpu.

  • HP ENVY E1P05AV: IDT Audio Driver problems in Windows 7

For the past few weeks, I dealt with the same audio swings and speaker problems that a lot of people here have complained.  I am aware of the updated driver for those who have Windows 8 computers, but I have a Windows 7.  This computer was purchased in June, after my previous HP laptop (which therefore had no problem) had to be replaced.  Restarting the computer solved for a few minutes, but there always questions until it inevitably makes it so I can't hear anything or play videos.  I uninstalled, deleted and reinstalled the driver IDT several times including downloadling directly on the site of HP. I sat and looked at the settings Audio Beats swing back and looked like Windows Explorer crashes because I tried to change the volume on my keyboard settings.  Most of the time, I can not even restart or shut down my computer more, it just stays on a black screen with the power light until I turn OFF manually or the battery dies.

I am so frustrated with this and even more so by the fact that a fix has been pushed through for the users of Windows 8, but you leave those of us with Windows 7 stuck with unusable laptop computers.  Please tell me how I can fix this or direct me to someone who can help me to replace my laptop.  Thank you.

P.S. I'm not angry with you, just at the situation, I'm sorry to sound like a jerk.

I solved the problem, but thank you very much for your help.

Audio swings and the total lack of audio was caused by a loose speaker inside the computer wire.  I was able to tie it and everything works fine now.

  • Radeon AMD in Pavilion dv7 notebook driver problem

I have a pavilion dv7 notebook and for a few months, I had problems with my graphics driver.

It began with a notice that my license was expired, so I went on the AMD website and tried to install the update. I ran dxdiag to find tool that I use an AMD Radeon HD 6620 G graphics card. I could not find my product on the list to manually install the update, so I tried the Downloader tool from amd driver and he had a problem of recognition of my graphics card. I then tried to update with the help of Support HP and that seemed to work for a while.

Yesterday my screen changed the lowest resolution and a notice came it was not recognizing my graphics driver. Yet once, I tried to update manually from the AMD Web site. When this does not work I downloaded the driver AMD Downloader and after installing everything he said is that "your computer does not contain a correct graphics card" and closed the program.

I am lost at this point uterally, and any help would be greatly apreciated.

  • Dell Inspiron 15R SE AMD video driver problems (7520)

    Hello

Updated Windows Installer update drivers AMD GPU for me earlier. I think the problem is that it has installed the AMD site instead of graphics drivers switchable drivers that are compatible with my laptop (Inspiron 15R SE).

All programs that use the AMD card crashes when I start the system, including the Catalyst Control Center and the switchable graphics program. I tried to get into windows to display advanced options, but windows stops responding when I open the menu (Gray screen for about a minute then it returns with the window closed).

Dxdiag crashes if I start it, and if I try to run again he asks me if I want to run without Direct3D. If I press 'No', it crashes. If I accept, he let me in but does not detect the graphics card AMD.

I tried to uninstall the drivers and re - download coupons Dell website, but the problem persists.

I'm running an AMD Radeon HD m 7730 GPU and 4000 HD Intel integrated graphics.

TL; DR: All programs set to use graphic crash dedicated. Drivers say they have updated, but the problem is still there. Cannot access driver rollback screen (windows crash).

If you need more information, just ask. I run the Dell Diagnostics tool and he found nothing wrong, so it is a driver problem.

    Hello

I followed the steps you posted. Uninstall driver AMD asked me to restart later, so I allowed him to. I was greeted with a BSOD whenever I started. I tried to boot my Dell driver recovery disk, but there is no drive detected. I finally decided I had to do a system restore.

The good news is that the problem is resolved.

Bad news is that I lost all my files. This time I am disabling the windows driver updates...

    Hello world

I reinstalled windows in my computer after you have removed all the files it contains.

Therefore, I unfortunately lost the recovery partition.

Now, after you have reinstalled the Windows 8 Pro, I installed all the drivers and everything works normally except the sound.

However, I have been using Ubuntu after reinstaled Windows and I DIND'T have no problem with that.

I thought that maybe this could be a problem inside, but when I use me headphones, or when I use my computer with my TV with HDMI, the problem persists.

My computer is a HP ENVY m6-k010dx Sleekbook.

So, what shoul I do to have it fixed?

(Sorry for my bad English )

    ---------------- UPDATE ----------------

I use a Linux Live USB to test the sound, as it could be any physical problem.

However, it turned out that it really is a driver problem.

    I found a solution

Just after installing Windows 8.1 the problem fixed itself

  • 1000 - 1b09AU: driver problem

    Hallo.

I would ask, there some driver problem happening on my laptop.

    That is the problem.

The retailer installed OS is Windows 8 Pro inactive. The laptop works well, but there are a few problems of brightness.

When I decrease the brightness, the brightness is returned to brighter level, even when brightness is 40%.

    The following illustrates.

    100% - the brighter.

Reduction 90% - approximately 30% darker than before

    80% - reduced 30% darker.

70% - to the brightest level.

And continues up to 10%. But it's OK.

Now, when I reinstall Windows to 8.1, even the brightness decreases. Always in the brighter level, it makes my eyes sore.

And when I check for Device Manager, the graphics card displays 'Microsoft Basic Poster' instead of 'Radeon HD Graphics 6480 G '.

I think that I have installed the driver properly. Even I ran the installer of the pilot twice or more.

When I approached the extractor frome pilot the retailer where I bought it (the seller gave me a copy of the drivers for the laptop on my HARD drive), there was something wrong. My graphics card is not mentioned in the support and functionality of device. I was disappointed. I think that the retailer has made a mistake.

Now, after I checked the official download link, I opened the linkand what comments? My display driver is not in the list! I was disappointed, once again.

Can I download the driver from the official site AMD? this one?

If not, is there a solution of HP?

    I'll wait.

Oh one more. I hope I don't have to create a new topic for this issue.

The sleep option is also disappearing. It's never happen before I upgraded to Windows 8.1.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello:

Since there is no graphics driver HP W8.1, your only option would be to try that one directly from AMD.

Unless you get a graphics driver to install, there is no option of sleep.

  • HP Envy M6: My HARD drive is not bad on my computer? I have reloaded Win 8 and upgraded to Win 8.1 but he keeps crashing

Hi need help and answers from an expert!

My HP Envy M6 Recenly has stopped working correctly, so I decided to recover as soon as possible.  She still had the same problems, so I decided to restore factory with recovery USB flash drive I did.  Always had the same problem happens after I rebooted 8 Win and improved to 8.1.  It would work for a few minutes and stop working I used chkdsk and it says it fixed a few problems with the drive.

I went through the same steps another 3 times!  After each time that once I had that he would be running again after a clean reinstall.  I would like to run chkdsk and it looks like he fixed some error, but last time, it wouldn't or couldn't find some files to run and crashed.  I tried loading Acronis and tried to reinstall the backup from there but that also failed to correct the problem.  I came to the conclusion that my HD is physically wrong?

I guess the recovery process would reformat the partitions before you reinstall so it's not a logic error (software)?  From the recovery partition, the recovery Flash disk media and recovery software acronis can fix this, I can only assume, there is a problem with the drive itself?

Is there a way to check this?  I don't mind replacing the drive to a SSD, so this isn't a problem, but I can't seem to find a product key.  Nothing printed on the bottom.  I read somewhere that it is now integrated with the motherboard bios so can I just use the recovery media that I did on a flash drive?

Also, I have my backup file but I could never find the location of the image my wife loaded as the photo of "lock" screen which I do not have a copy of.  I have the backup files for windows 8.1 by Acronis and according to me, a Windows backup file on a backup drive, but I was wondering if these "locked screen hidden image" would be held somewhere in these data?  It is not under the images and I have never been able to find or understand where windows keeps this image.  I used the search without success.

Of course, this is not critical, but I hate losing this particular image.  I hope it's keep somewhere in my back upward and when restoring with a new drive hard I can reload the backup and restore.

So I really ned knowledge step by step: my HD is bad?  How can I check without having to spend hours to reload only to fail?

Why chkdisk does not?  Or should I simply replace HD and if so what can I use the new disk recovery media and product ID will be accessible through the motherboard?

I intend to upgrade to win 10, but I need Win 8 loading first, then move to 8.1 then move to Win 10?  Also in the future if it crashes how can I recover to win 10? Since it is free now but will not be later.  The upgrade will allow me to make a copy (a copy) to win 10?

A lot of questions, but please provide the fastest solution to my problems and concerns.

    Thank you in advance!

    FM Hawaii

    Hello fmhawaii ;

I read your post on your PC crashing and wanted to help.

It certainly seems that your hard drive has failed.  Some PC allows the drive to check in the BIOS: test a hard drive in the BIOS. HP® customer support

If that confirms that the disc is bad, then you will need to replace it.

As for activation, you are right in that, with Win8x machines, the product key is embedded in the motherboard UEFI firmware, however, the instructions in this link, show you how to recover: find product - key for Windows 8

When you restore from recovery media, which is supposed to automatically read product key, so you will not have to enter something to activate reinstall it.  My guess is that the drive problems that prevented from happening.

Acronis allows you to mount an image file by using a drive letter, and once you do this, you should then be able to browse through the content to find the file you want.  However, depending on what part of the logon icon changed, it might be embedded image in a Windows system file, and unless there is a separate copy of this image, it will be very difficult to recover.  IF you Google it, you might be able to find downloadable tools for disassembly of this file and subseuent extraction of this file.

I wouldn't hurry to Win10, but if you choose to follow this path, don't forget to make a new advance Acronis backup, then you can return to a system of Win8x of work if something is wrong - as the Win10 GoBack function is known to be unreliable.

    Good luck

    Hi guys,.

I have a HP G62 B10SP, the problem is that the drivers(intel/ATI) on page HP fine work, I can spend from intel to AMD do map no problem.

The problem is that the driver on the HP page is obsolete, and when I installed the most recent driver for the HD 5470 I can't change beetwenn card more.

The driver can be updated to a newer version? This version is very old is is even not all info on GPU - Z.

    P.S - Windows 7 32 bit (x 86)

    Thank you!

Where are you the new driver from?

The general rule, also noted by AMD, is to stick with the drivers from the manufacturer for laptops, because they have specially designed drivers for the combination of material.

I personally have updated my driver switchable graphics AMD without problem.

However, I also use a different method than that do more.

Have you tried to update the driver AMD through Steam?  Steam is developed by Valve and is not associated with HP.

With the AMD card is activated, you can try to update the driver AMD using steam.

    1. install Steam.

    2. run Steam.

    3. Select Steam and AMD update of drivers.

    4. If there is a new driver, it will give the opportunity to install it.

I managed with the driver update AMD my laptop with switchable graphics.

Amended to specify the menu navigation steps.

  • My AMD driver fails and recovers almost daily. Is any way to stop this?

  • HP ENVY m6-1125dx HDMI driver for w8.1

    Hello

I have a HP Envy m6-1125dx who still uses windows 8. In January, I've upgraded to 8.1 but my hdmi port had some problems. If I connect a monitor or TV using hdmi, the screen is black and white and very 8-bit graphics as. The hdmi port and the drivers work very well on windows 8. This seems to be a driver problem. When I had these problems, I downloaded the latest drivers on your support for this model site. The most recent of 10 to 2013, which I believe is around when 8.1 has been released. The pilots did nothing to solve this problem.

Because a working hdmi port is important for me, I went back to windows 8. I see now that Microsoft will push people to update their windows computers 8 or possibly start for not having supported and security problems. I would like to be able to update this computer that I use for work, but I need it to be able to connect to hdmi.

Will there be new drivers fate soon for this? Are there drivers that I'm missing? It's a little frustrating that a computer that is about a year and a half (a little less then a year when the 8.1 came out) is taken in charge of driver, as much as it can not be moved down to windows 7. I hope that we move upward with a solution to my problem until I update again!

    Thank you.
