  • How can I connect to an administrator account after fogetting the password?

Original title: I forgot my password, can you help me

I haven't used my laptop for a long time and I forgot what my password.

    Easy things first, hopefully:

    1. have you created a Windows password reset disk when you got the computer? If yes try this - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/Create-a-password-reset-disk

2 you have an indication of password when you set up your accounts? - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows7/Create-or-change-a-password-hint

  • How can I connect HP ENVY 110 d411a (white) for the MacBook Pro OSX Lion running through a wi - fi connection?

And how can I use the AirPrint.

(I'm not English, sorry for my bad English)

    1.

    Hello

I bought a HP ENVY 110 d411a (white) on the last day, but I have different problems trying to configure it.

I did all the settings of the printer and properly installed the CD rom on 2 PC running Windows XP. (All works) I also tried the ePrint and it works without problem.

Problems come when I tried to implement it in my book for Mac OSX Lion running. I downloaded the "ENVY-110 - series_v12.14.0.dmg" from the HP site, but it seems that the computer cannot detect the printer wi - fi thorugh, even though they connect on the same wi - fi. Reading this forum I also installed an additional update "HP_Scan_for_Mac_OS_X_10.7_Update.dmg" and "support.apple.com/kb/DL907" Also I tried to unstall all and reinstall another time.

I'm sure that the printer is on the same wi - fi, I know not wi - fi is active, because the other PC I can print and scan, I'm sure it has a regualr IP address, the printer is new (2 days) and my MacBook is updated to the latest firmware.

    What can I do else?

    2.

My other question is how can I enable the AirPrint? I tried to detect the printer from the phone, but he can't find anything...

I read that this requires an update of the printer, but I already checked the updates and it says that the latest firmware is already installed...

Can you help at least with the first point?

OK, thanks for that.  This problem is with your router.  Your Mac uses Hello (also called mDNS) to find your printer.  If the router does not support this, your Mac will never see it.  It is a common problem with routers provided by the ISP.

I would recommend that you contact your ISP and either resolve the issue or give you a router that supports mDNS.  Last resort, you can get your own router and just use the modem from the ISP box part.

  • HP Envy 15-k151us: HP Envy 15-k151us wifi connects not to do, I've got the wrong driver?

I deleted Windows 8.1 and installed windows 7 64 bit on my HP Envy 15-k151us, but I can't find the correct driver for my wireless b/g/n adapter. I went to the site to download driver HP and there were at least 4 driver packages. There was a driver package to a Realteck adapter, a card an Atheros card, Intel and Broadcom card. Since I don't know what adapter I have, I have downloaded all 4 of them and tried each of them. After I installed the driver, my laptop seems to recognize the adapter, but it wouldn't connect. I use the wrong driver? How will I know? How is it, I can't connect? It's only my laptop and nothing else.

My laptop has the following specifications:

    Intel Core i7-4710HQ 2.5 GHz

    Intel HD 4600 graphics card

    Hello:

You find the parts list for your laptop it comes with the Broadcom BCM43142 802.11bgn 1 x 1 Wi - Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 HMC combination WLAN adapter.

    http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=J6P00UA

The fact that you "threw each wireless driver in the book", could have a detrimental effect on the wireless setup.

I suggest you to reinstall W7 and install that driver wireless broadcom driver bluetooth and see if you get better results.

Driver LAN Broadcom wireless.  There is a newer driver than the one on your laptop support and driver page.

    File name: sp69014.exe

This card also comes with bluetooth, so you need this driver bluetooth also.

Software and driver Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0

    File name: sp66402.exe

It is generally recommended to install the following drivers in this order and restart after each installation for best results.

    1. Intel chipset installation utility

    2 HD Intel graphic driver

    3. audio driver

    4. Ethernet driver

    5. wireless driver

Then you can install the rest in any order you want.

  • HP Envy 15-k233ca Notebook: Wifi constantly falls on the brand new HP Envy laptop.

I always thought that if highly HP and as such, has decided to buy a laptop HP - HP Envy 15-K233ca laptop.

I had a few problems early and one in particular, makes for an unpleasant experience.

The wifi connection continues falling.  It drops when the system is put into mode 'sleep', when I surf on the net and even after a reboot.

I went through the question (and a few others) with HP tonight and after 2 hours assistance service has encountered the same problem.  I'm now having to restart the computer and solve problems to try to maintain a wireless connection.  This is my first experience with an HP laptop and I'm disappointed.  It's unfortunate, but I may have to return it.  I'll walk to Apple for a replacement.   If someone from HP can solve this problem for once and for all, it would be useful. Otherwise, I will have no choice but to return the unit.

Note: I noticed that others are experiencing the same issue.  I asked that the HP help desk install drivers to fix the problem.  If this does not work after our session tonight, then I fear, that it may be a hardware problem.

    Hello

Thank you for taking the time to answer.  It seems that the box was already unchecked.  Good idea look even if, as others may have this checked and may, if all goes well in this solution.  I asked a tech support in India for download drivers that may correct the problem.  It seems to have worked.

    Thank you once again.

  • Envy 17 - purchased 12 of them and all the gel and BSOD

We bought 12 Envy 17 (model 17-1011NR) from Newegg, and have suffered from blue screens and freezes.

After evaluating the windows dump files, it seems that the USB hub is the root of the problem.

Sometimes the machines blue screen, blocking completely and sometimes crashes just the mouse, which requires a reboot to solve.

Base that was provided by HP image has the same problem.

    * After updated all drivers for the newer versions, there always the same results.

Reinstalling the OS (do not use OEM installation) has the same results.

    * We tried 6 different models of different manufacters mouse and have tried all USB ports, including USB 3.0 port and ESATA port.

    * We also tried a variation and only installed the drivers from Windows Update, which leaves a few unknown drivers... but we did it in order to try everything and still the same results.

    * We used the 3.0 HP on many machines Diagnostic tools to remove the bad memory and other devices.

    * The machines are usually this problem when you are under LOW to MEDIUM load.  I'm not sure we have seen those who had during the high / extreme charge questions so we can exclude overheating.

    * We've also changed the different power settings to avoid any issues that can be turn on / turn off ports etc. of energy saving.

    * We tried the 2 latest versions of bios and have the same results.

The files that appear in the dump files are usbehci.sys, usbhub.sys and usbport.sys...

Were a software development company and are fairly well informed regarding this sort of thing.  This has been interesting questions, because we have 12 computers with similar problems and we did on all combinations of operating system and the device driver installs as possible.

I know there have been serious problems with the Envy 15, but do not see too many people having problems with the Envy 17.  So I don't know if it is possible that we would have gotten 12 bad computers or there is a serious problem with these laptops.  I am waiting for some additional comments from HP support and wanted to post here in the meantime.

Its a shame, the computer is nice and the clarity of the screen is beautiful.  For the moment, I would suggest someone by them after what we are going through.  I've got developers attempt to use these and we are good a lot of code.

    Thank you

    Tim

You can send it to HP. [email protected], as well as any number of HP support or 12 serial numbers of ticket service...

In the meantime, I would say that, given the system configuration with the operating system that shipped with the device...

    Hello

Recently, my HP Envy M6 has been intermittently lose internet during the execution of battery - it's always nice when it's plugged in, however. I ran the diagnostics manual wifi and nothing is not detected.  Any ideas?

I am running windows 8.1and model number model is: E0R92EA #ABU

    Thank you

    Brian

    Brian,

This could be a setting in your profile (or power saving wireless mode) power setting?

I had problems where an update (from HP, not Windows) changed (my) default settings for power profiles.

Can you restore back a few days or a date prior to the problem? This would test if the a software update changed something...

    Kind regards

  • I can't connect even though I just checked my account via my email now Firefox says my password is wrong and Outlook does not receive the e-mail to reset

I just downloaded Firefox and has been careful to choose a password that I can remember. I checked the account using my Outlook email. However, when I tried to browse the other themes following the link on the Firefox Customize page should I connect again. But the password was rejected so I tried to get it resets but can't get through by email. I tried again, same thing Outlook only Firefox check the message, even if it is more than half an hour. I have no idea of what is wrong, my Outlook email never took long to receive an email. Also, I don't understand how writing down and carefully put in password is rejected. What should I do? I can't delete Firefox and start over because I can't sign although I never pulled out. Thank you.

The Addons.Mozilla.Org site uses a different record / separate and the login Support.Mozilla.Org to use (this Web site and the knowledge base). No problem in using the same username / email address and password on both, but you need to register for each one separately. and stay connected using separate cookies - as with two independent sites.

  • should my time capsule be connected with a cable for backups, after the initial installation?

should my time capsule be connected with a cable for backups, after the initial installation?

If you mean that you have to keep your Mac connected to a Time Capsule via Ethernet for future backups, then the answer is no. Time Machine and time Capsule are designed to work over wireless for your Mac would just need to be connected to the wireless network provided by the time Capsule.
