HP Envy 15t screen touch AC adapter / CC to get very hot
Hi, just given my wife a new laptop touch screen HP Envy 15 t. She plugged the AC adapter to recharge the battery and the adapter got very hot. Everyone knows this? Is this normal?
A hard, I guess. Mine feels just as warm as a cloth rinsed in the hot water and wrung out--but not as hot as a fresh cooked potato in the microwave. Yes, I'm not a gourmet cook.

I just noticed recently; the power adapter supplied with my R60 becomes very hot while it is plugged. It requires always the laptop without problem, but I am very concerned about the heat. This is the part number 92 p 1156 (FRU #92 P 1155), and I bought the laptop in October 2006. Any ideas?
It should be OK, he would not fail. You probably use your laptop with some GPU and CPU intensive programs.

the screen is often very hot.
My computer Vista Deskstop, the screen gets very hot and hurts College the screen due to the hot flashing my body.
If your screen becomes so hot that it makes you feel uncomfortable, then you almost certainly have some sort of serious hardware problem. That level of overheating can be a fire hazard, so I strongly recommend that you unplug the power supply of the PC screen / and get them looked at by a professional repairer.

TouchSmart HP Envy 17-j017cl touch screen click on screen by itself
64-bit Windows 8
Product number: E9G80UAI recently bought about 4 months ago and it's great for a little while. But recently he would make this annoying glitch. The screen would act as if I'm pressing the screen somewhere in the middle of it and selecting whatever it is within its range. This may seem not so bad by the sounds of it, but if you play a video or a website with links in this area it will click on a link or stop/play videos. It is very annoying!
Troubleshooting: at first I thought that it would be my touchpad, so I made sure that I didn't to it during these periods. But it would still do so even if I'm not in contact with the laptop. So if I use only my wireless mouse to go through Web pages or anything else, he would still do the ghost by clicking.
I thought then that maybe it's my wireless mouse, so I unplugged the laptop USB receiver and he always does.
Then I tried to get online with HP technical support and they checked my computer and tried a few things like remove the driver of the touchpad and so on without any results. He finally told me that I have to send it to them for repair (still in warranty). However, I have not the time to send my phone to them for repairs.
My last thought was to turn off the touch screen. What I did by going to Device Manager and by disabling one of the HIDDEN options. I've had several, so I had to try each of them since none were marked as the touch screen, but only as a HID device. It has worked so far and he has not clicked anywhere yet.
My question is, is anyone know what I need to do to correct the problem? I thought to update the driver, but I can't find it on the HP site and when I try to update the driver through Device Manager it says he has the best driver available, which most of the time is BS. I guess I just need to know where I can find the right driver for the touch screen.
Hi Spoon1901,
Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your computer laptop 17-j017cl TouchSmart from HP ENVY and your touch screen, here's a link to a update the system BIOS. It will help improve the screen problems.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.

HP Envy 15t: the resolution on the external display support
I want to put my HP Envy 15t to drive an external, not as an extension monitor, but rather as my first monitor. My external monitor is a Viewsonic VX2250, a bit older and I use an HDMI adapter / VGA. (The Viewsonic also has DVI inputs... not sure it would make a difference.) On my current tour, I use the monitor in its recommended (or native mode) 1920 x 1080 definition. I love this screen.
The adapter is a Bytecc HM-VGA005 and specs seem to indicate that it can handle a variety of video resolutions - Full HD (1080 p), WUXGA (1920 x 1200 mode RB) and UXGA (1600 x 1200-mode VESA).
15 t is currently shooting in the recommended 1366 x 768 resolution. If I understand the straight plug, in HD mode it is 1366 x 768 and FHD mode is 1920 x 1080. The graphics card is an Intel Graphics HD 4600. Is this the reason why I can't get a HD resolution and not FHD resolution on the laptop?
But whenever I plug all this together and try and change the settings for screen for laptop, the external screen resolution is only 1024 x 768... pretty ugly. I have it so that the laptop screen is dark and only the external monitor is on. But it doesn't seem to be any choice I can do to improve this resolution. I checked that the graphics driver is up to date and it is.
What should I do to get the best screen I can on the external monitor? Would like to buy a new monitor HDMI inputs get better results? Do I need a different adapter?
Thank you... Kurt
Me again! Well, it was a bit the nut behind the wheel. I checked with the store that I've been buying my cables, adapters, etc. He said to the Viewsonic monitor to see what might happen. As I was put in place, he asked on the power adapter. I got the USB cable but do not think it was necessary. But after putting everything together in addition to feeding the HDMI adapter / VGA, I could see, I was getting the resolution I hoped. Why it worked on the monitor Dell, no idea... maybe a better monitor or other VGA cable. The Bytecc adpater didn't come with instructions, so I didn't.
All right. Hope this helps someone in the future.

15 t K2T39AV envy: envy 15 t Touch Hardware Upgrade
A week ago I had just received my laptop touch HP Envy 15t, and someone in my family gave me a Samsung 850 EVO Sata3 ssd.
I undestand that if I open my laptop might void the warranty, is possible that I can get this installed without having to carry it out? I tried calling 3 people with "HP Certified" companies, but this directory is so ridiculously the outdated that none of the numbers worked.
Also, I noticed that this laptop is UNI-ish. Which makes it harder?
I also had the backlit keyboard, and many keys sporadically do not work unless I press extra hard. Is there a way to increase the sensitivity on this thing?
Hello
Your manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04510889
It's your laptop: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-15-Notebook-PC-series/7527530/model/7757377/manuals
To replace the HARD drive, you can contact HP in your area: https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/product/HP-ENVY-15-k200-Notebook-PC-series/7527530/model/7757377
Usually service center technicians would be able to do for your possibly free if you're under warranty, but it depends on how the service center who take up.
My HP Pavilion 15 HARD drive not was not customer accessible like yours, and HP guys helped me to go free, and I was under warranty.
See Page 63, 64 in your manual. It is not a DIY thing. You have to do a major disassembly to get out the replacement HARD drive. It will void the warranty if something unforeseen occurs following update yourself. So I'll try to contact HP directly to it.
About the keyboard, try to reload the default BIOS:

I ordered the HP Envy 15 t Touch (model 15 t-ae100) with the i7 processors and 4 GB of memory graphic discreet. The Maintenance and Service Guide accurate that there is a slot available for one SSD m2. From what I can tell, it's a SATA 3 (not mSATA or PCIe) slot that will be a 2280 SSD card. Three questions:
1. where did the m2 slot located on the motherboard? Adjacent to the wireless network adapter?
2. is there a screw included on the motherboard for the SSD m2 card?
3. any compatibility likely questions if I get the EVO of 850 Samsung 500 GB m2 (MZ-N5E500BW)?
Thank you very much
Tom
Hello @space_thread,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!
I stumbled upon your post on the SSD question and wanted to help!
The m2 slot seems to be located next to the memory Modules. There is a Phillips PM2.0x3.50 screw that secures the SSD to the system board. Your product supports the following SSD:
SSD (m2) drive
256 GB - 812708-001
128 GB, 2280 M2 - 829985-001
128 GB (Best Buy SKUs) - 820547-001
Therefore the 500 GB m2 will be not compatible. I hope this helps.

Satellite B3204-L35W-Click2 screen touch/HID USB driver is missing.
I really just need to know where I can re - download the driver, because it seems that it just does not exist on my computer more.
If I go into 'Tablet PC Settings', which I can only do via a shortcut on the advice of one of the guides, I found, I created, I get "no pen or touch input is not available for this view.
"In"Device Manager", I have the following:" GPIO buttons Driver ', "Dock Mode indicator Driver GPIO", "laptop or slate indicator driver GPIO", three "HID-compliant consumer control device", "HID-compliant system controller", HID-compliant wireless radio controls ","I2C HID Device"," sideband GPIO injection device buttons "and"Toshiba Hotkey Driver. "I bought the tablet to the United States before settling in Hong Kong in February 2015. I do not use the touch screen than that, but it's still very frustrating. I prefer not to do a system restore because I didn't create a restore since July-ish point.
There is no driver. It uses Microsoft built in the driver.
Go into the BIOS, if the touch screen does not work in the BIOS then it's a hardware problem.

Envy 15 t: upgrade memory and hard drive HP ENVY 15t
Hi guys, I just bought the HP Envy 15 not touch t (ae100) with the following characteristics:
-CPU & graphics: 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core processor + Intel HD Graphics 530
-Memory: 8 GB DDR3L - 1 DIMM
-Hard drive: 1 TB 5400 RPM hard drive
I have a few questions about it. First of all, my laptop doesn't have a vacant unit of m2 where I can insert an SSD and if not a SATA 3 2.5-inch SSD fits instead of the hard disk without additional fixing or need support.
Second, is there an empty memory slot to insert a 8 GB of additional ram.
Any kind of assistance will be extremely useful and thanks in advance.
No crack m2. From the Manual:
Only dedicated support of storage SATA m2 (Port 0) (models with i7 processors and 4 GB memory graphics)
So if you have Intel HD video only you do not have a slot m2.
Here's the manual for your use:
Yes on the memory 8 GB 2d module:
Both not accessible/upgradable module DDR3L-1600 slots double channel memory support 16 GB of RAM in the following conƭgurations ● 16384-Mo (8192 MB × 2)
Access to the memory and hard drive are obtained by removing the lower cover. Technically this is not allowed to the end user if security is jeopardized.
A standard 2.5 inch SATA SSD to integrate perfectly in the original hardware for hard disk 5400 RPM. It is a highly recommended update. The 16 GB of RAM not so much, but it's one of those things "might as well" If you are determined to go there.
