HP ENVY 17 2199 El: cannot create USB recovery for win10

Hello

Just tried to create a USB key for win10 (64-bit) recovery.

I received a message: "we cannot create a recovery on this PC drive. Some required files are missing.

To solve the problems when your PC can not start, use your Windows installation disk or media. »

Any help, thanks.

@YA2015: hope you manage to create the backup image of M..

The Toshiba 'Recovery Media Creator' inviotes I plug a USB key at least 10.4 G. So, I inserted a new USB 16G. The app clearly did not see this, even if it is recognized by the PC itself, no problem.

When I press 'create' to load the stick, the app just says: "the process of creation for all media was cancelled" is not only wrong spelling, but completely useless.

I do something wrong, ir is just a very poor app?

  • Cannot create a recovery for my Satellite A300-1BZ CD

I tried to use the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator repeatedly and with many different brands of discs to create the recovery disk.
However each time as the laptop is about to finish burning the disc, there is an error and the operation not can be completed.

I don't think there is a problem with the drive as I have used for many other things including watching movies without problem.
Could Toshiba please send me a recovery disk instead?
    Thank you

    > Could Toshiba please send me a recovery disk instead?
A mail recovery disk? Very interesting. Mailed 4 GB image is not so easy.

I don't know what you're doing, but if you want good tip then use Verbatim or TDK DVD-R blank media. For the DVD-R.
I have too many Satellite A300 and recovery DVD, I created successfully.
Do you use DVD-R virgins too?

  • Cannot create a recovery image

    Hello

I just bought a HP Pavilion x 2, it has a 64 GB SSD.  I want to create a recovery image using the HP utility but when I try, it fails. I think it is because there is not enough space on the Windows partition to create the image.  I have a USB drive connected with 27 GB of free but looks like it will create the image on the C drive, before you copy it to the USB drive. I don't want to remove my recovery partition until I know that I have another copy and I can't find anything else to uninstall to get the 14 GB I need (have 12 GB free). I have only had the tablet a few days so did not have much here, have uninstalled everything I put here except for the updates of Windows that I did. I erased the wimy file temp user profile.

Does anyone have ideas, what I can do?

    Thank you

  • Satellite T130 - Toshiba create USB recovery

    Hello.

    This is the situation:

I have laptop Toshiba T130 with no DVD player. After installing Win7, I shrunk the partition D tool in Win7 and used the free space to install Linux with GRUB. Then I shrunk the partition also C by Win7 tool and free space to create another. This however told me something about the dynamic disk or something...

But he has somehow broken GRUB so I decided to reinstall Linux. But the scores have been somehow broken, but I installed Linux on the last partition. Since then I could not start Windows or repair because partition D has actually been removed!
The C with Win7 partition seemed intact.

Trying to fix the computer and try to start trouble, I got error 0 x 090 or something with partition table error. So therefore, I deliberately decided to create the new partition with Gparted that off my HARD drive. Then I put in place the new partitions: 3 x NTFS, (400 MB recovery, partition Win7 and another) + extended partition containing the NTFS partition + ext4 partition, swap.

Then I copied the hidden files (that I had saved earlier) in a hidden partition on the HDD laptop + I copied folder of Toshiba 3rd NTFS partition recovery (I had backed up the files immediately after obtaining of the laptop).

Now, I'm stuck with 0xc000000e error when you try to start. I also followed this thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=53952&tstart=15

Can you help me with Win7 Starter? And what program to use to make Win7 64 bit USB bootable recovery CD? I tried unetbootin and USB, but they did not...

Any advice will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you very much!

Oh mann what are you do is incredible. ;)
The entire structure of the HARD disk is now screwed upward. I m just wondering why you did that on this small Satellite T130.
I mean it's OK all what are you do and you can do what you want with your machine, but my personal opinion is you're wrong for laptop for all of this.

Satellite T130 is small ultra portable laptop designed to offer the maximum of mobility and offer long battery life, when you are out of office or travel through. So I think that the most important thing for this laptop is well installed and configured the operating system that runs stabile and with the minimum of consumption of energy. This laptop doesn t have the optical disk drive and the overall situation is more complicated if the factory settings are changed.

You now have on the HARD drive is nothing but the jungle and to me, it seems pretty confusing.
If you checked s user manuals document you can find the exact explanation, what can be done with the recovery image saved on the second partition and what type of recovery media can be created.

Recovery image is not designed for use with third-party applications part so it can be problematic to create USB recovery drive.
Thread you link posted is better thread on this topic and if this will not help I really don't know what you can, except for ordering original Toshiba recovery DVD and make the installation of OS to get the factory settings again.

  • HP Notebook PC 15: create the system for Win10 64-bit recovery

Message from HP Support Assistant: create system recovery

I have 3 recovery disk labled HP I made at the time of purchase.

I upgraded to windows 10 8.1 and also performed a factory reset

3 discs were created when I was using 8.1

My computer is now running win 10

I am to make a game to win 10, or is the game I've done enough?

If only I can make a game, what they ask?

    slickamis

You cannot create a recovery HP for Win10 media because you upgraded your PC Win10 - and the files needed to do that do not come with the MS Win10 Upgrade, instead, they come on the PC preinstalled with HP's Win10.

However, you can make an image backup using a third-party tool known as Macrium reflect (MR).

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

I use all the time and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to make the backup of the image and at the same time or less do a restore.  In addition, MR has the ability to add a recovery Boot Menu entry.  This then allows you to boot into Windows re, and then you can use it to do a restore - when you cannot start Windows!

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Good luck

  • How to create a recovery for TPT 2 disc

    Hello

I really don't like the idea that my only restore options re' is on the same drive. So, if my drive goes down, I have no recovery option. I tried to create a recovery disk using the tools integrated in Windows, but it error. Other forums say that it can happen with OEMs. So, how can I create a recovery for my TPT2 disc? I have a USB DVD burner

    Hello

Yep, those are the steps I've tried. Then it gives me an error code 80070057 #. I tried with two different CD/DVD burners to ensure it wasn't a burner problem.

Now, since the announcement, I found another recovery option that seems to work:

    1. tap search in the bar of charms.

    2. Type "Recovery" and then press on to find settings

    3. click on 'create a disc of Recvovery '.

    4. follow the steps in this wizard.

This creates a recovery USB disk. I still prefer to have a CD through the utility to backup WIndows 7 and recovery screen, but I hope this recovery USB will work as well.

  • HP slimline s511uk recovery dv: created the recovery for hp s511uk disc

    Hello world.

We have created the recovery for hp slimline s51uk disk but have lost their so you can't buy them on the hp Web site.

We have tried our products without any success.

We want to change the disk ssd as the original has os.

I don't want not to clone the SSD with the software as theres no gurantee it will work.

Just install fees usig recovery for ssd drive

    Hello:

You can try this and see if it works...

Use the product key (if you can still read all 25 characters of the product key for W7) on your PC case to install the operating system provided with your PC.

Here is the direct link to the Digital River Microsoft W7 x 64 Home Premium SP1 ISO file.

    http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24209. ISO Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 English

Make sure you get the entire file to download.  Sometimes, he reports full download, but you don't have the file xx GB 3. any.

Then use either your option of the ISO to burn to the DVD burning program to burn the file on a DVD so that it is bootable.

Burn at the lowest speed as possible.

Or, use this tool to transfer the file to a Flash DRIVE 4 GB or a DVD.  This tool will also support bootable.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/download/Windows-us b-dvd-download-tool

Then go to the support page of your PC to get the driver and software you need.

  • Cannot create a recovery key USB media

Tried to create a recovery without success media. Many people here advocate the use of flash drives, but it does not come without its problems. I had a problem with a swipe of the sandisk Cruiser 32 gb... the manual says not to use the flash drive, if it is compatible with windows 8.1 which is not.

Yet it still hovers zip nothing and I formatted and tried to fat 32 and ntfs.

So what USB flash drives are really compatible? seems to be the next logical question.

Or what I can try without having to spend more money on players flash compaible.

    Appreciated

It seems the SanDisk Cruzer Glide you try to use may be compatible with Windows 8 and therefore may not work. Please try another USB stick 32 GB drive which is known to not be compatible with Windows 8.

  • Cannot create a recovery on my Satellite C660D-1CU media

    Hello

I have a big problem with my laptop, Satellite C660D-1CU.
When I initially and then all the programs and Toshiba, and Toshiba recovery media creator this message is on display:

It is impossible to create the recovery media.
Can't find file recovery HARD drive on the second disc of the first hard drive. This computer has no valid environmental restoration of the hard drive.

Can someone help me because I really need my pc back to factory settings because I have too many bugs.

    Concerning
    Nicolas

Message was edited: assignment has been translated

This problem occurs if the Toshiba Recovery creator tool cannot find the recovery image on the HARD drive. There are several reasons for this. Recovery image can be removed, deleted or structure of disk partitions HARD maybe changed. Just with the original settings and their State of origin HDD it will work.

Unfortunately now you will be able to create a recovery media or the installation of HARD drive recovery.
What you can do is a new and original for your model of laptop recovery DVDs and it is possible on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • Cannot create a recovery on my Satellite S50T-B008 media

I have just bought a laptop by Satellite S50T-B008 and recovery media creator, when I click on create it tells me to insert a greater than 11.8 GB USB flash drive. I have a 32GB Flash DRIVE installed.

I click OK and then another box comes up saying the same thing. I keep going round in circles and I can't create the recovery media. I tried with other USB flash drives and different USB ports on the laptop and get always the same.

    Any ideas?

On my two machines I used ve 16GB USB stick from two various manufacturers and all went well.
I recommend you to use the USB 16 GB also. Try restarting your machine (full stop) and test again.
You can also try to format the USB key before starting the creation of recovery media

  • EliteBook Folio 9470 m - how to create USB recovery in Win7 preinstalled?

Hi, this will be my first post here, so please be gentle

I have a new and pretty HP Elitebook Folio 9470 m for the test - it came with the operating system Windows 7 preinstalled. I wanted to check some things, play with it and as a careful user I wanted to first create recovery media. I have a 65GB flash drive which I previously used as a recovery media for other laptops, and (as this model does not have a CD/DVD drive) I wanted to use this time as well.

First I searched on the web to find out how to create a recovery what USB for this laptop but the HP Web site gave me the info to use Recovery Manager, which I have not installed on this laptop - when I search for "recovery", I get something like "create HP recovery CD. And when I try to use it I get an error about no writable media (even the flash drive is connected).

I came across a tip to the laptop F11 before starting, but I do not get the Recovery Manager or the other.

Should I download and install from somewhere or there at - it another way to create the recovery key for this laptop?

    Hello Neith,

You can use the HP Recovery Disk Flash for Windows 7 utility.  There is more information about the utility on this document from HP web.

    Best regards
