HP ENVY 17-j029nr upgrade lower for Windows Seven

Hello.

I bought a HP ENVY 17-j029nr. Here is a link to the product specifications:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03830368

HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC

Product: E0K90UA #ABA

Warranty: 2y2y0y

Model: 17-j029nr

Rev: 1968-100

I will it downgrade to windows 7. Please let me can know where I find the drivers to do so. It allows to be son of decommissioning which were stick in the forum, but I could not find them.

In addition, I have an SSD, I'll install the hard drive that is already installed in the laptop and more. I still don't have cable, so I ~ got to do it in a few months in the future. But I noticed that hard drives coming in this notebook, namely:

Hard Drive - 1 TB hard drive 5400 RPM with HP ProtectSmart hard drive Protection
Solid State Drive - hard disk acceleration MSExchange (cache 24 GB Solid State drive) with Intel and Intel Smart Response Technology fast boot technology

are in a RAID0 system. I opened the laptop and couldn't see a hard drive inside.

Can someone develop if it is going to be any problem when adding the SSD for this configuration. Is that the RAID0 be compromissed?

The biggest problem now is the downgrade, please help me!

Thank you!

You are the very welcome.

Unfortunately, I do not know how to do this.

I don't think it can be done if you can not separately disable legacy startup and disable secure boot.

Windows 7 will not work with active secure boot.

    WARNING *.

HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

You will need to DISABLE 'Secure Boot' and ENABLE 'Legacy Support' in the 'Configuration of the BIOS start-up secured' on the page parameters below, until you try to install Windows 7.

    or

After you save the changes, the computer will ask you to confirm the changes... Accept the changes by typing the four digit code and press the ENTER"" key.

Also, as the hard disk can be partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or "UEFI - USB Flash drive" options in the boot menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive", "UEFI - USB Flash drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own disc of Windows 7 SP1. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

You will need to provide the Intel AHCI / RAID drivers during the first part of the installation. Please download "f6flpy-x 64.zip" of Intel Download Center. Expand this download and make sure to extract the drivers and place them on a separate USB key.

The reason you see the "load a driver - a required CD/DVD drive device is missing ' is because 'System Configuration' > 'Configuration USB3.0 in pre-start' has the value 'Enabled'. This must be set on 'Auto'. This should clear up the CD/DVD device is missing.

You must start using the internal CD/DVD UEFI or UEFI-Key/key USB to install Windows on a GPT-partitioned disk. Turn on or restart the computer and press "F9" or "ESC", then "F9" when prompted. Select the source of boot UEFI you use and you press "ENTER".

Windows 7 should start the installation process. You should now be able to load the Intel "F6 floppy drivers" from the USB key that you made earlier.

Most of the 64 - bit drivers Windows 7 for HP ENVY 15 t-j100 CTO Notebook PC drivers of Quad Edition page should work on your computer. Please message the Windows Device Manager (text only) "Hardware ID" of all remaining missing or unknown devices, as shown in the example below.

  • ENVY M6 - 1184ca: 8.1 for Windows does not start after the installation of update KB2919355

Updating Windows 8.1 KB2919355 has proved to be extremely problematic for me. When he was released at the beginning of 2014 that I was not able to get installed it with the exception of two occasions, the first being several months ago and the second time, a few days ago. I have constant pain to try to get the update of KB2919355 until recently. What finally got the update installed was opened as administrator command prompt and type the following commands,

    DISM/Online/Remove - Package PackageNameackage_for_KB2919355 ~ 31bf3856ad364e35 ~ amd64 ~ ~ 6.3.1.14

    and then

    DISM / online/cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

So now, the update of KB2919355 has been installed. Only one problem: like the first time I had the installed, Windows Update leave commissioning. As the HP splash screen that normally appears during the startup process appears after about 3 seconds, Windows displays an error Stop, and for a fraction of a second will display SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error, which as I read, is related to the graphics drivers. The thing is, after the cancellation of the update (the computer in Mode safe start put Windows automatically uninstall the update and everything goes well after), then go in and uninstall the graphics driver, restart, reinstall the graphics driver and reboot again, and then reinstall the KB2919355 update, the problem recurs. I also tried to download and to install the new update of firmware for my particular DESIRE machine which was released a few days ago, but which has not helped either.

I'm really stuck. I looked up and down, and I scoured Internet for anything that might help. I need to update KB2919355 be installed because without it, I can't book my free upgrade of Windows 10. This laptop is about 2 years and a half old now, so it fulfills all the prerequisites for Windows 10.

Please do not suggest that I do a Refresh of the system or a system reset, as I have no way to back up my programs, that which some I would not be able to reinstall because I have more drives for some of my programs. Also, I can lose to save him for some of my games.

When people ask me "What's up?", I always say 'the CAP '.

So that seems to have solved the problem that is described in this post here. I followed the suggestion, which was to uninstall the driver, SPDT DuplexSecure (which has something to do with the SCSI devices, I'm not quite sure) using the SPDTinst (download here) and now it seems that Windows has started without crashing after installing the update KB2919355. I'll check my Windows Update history and see if it is there.

Low and behold, a year to be really behind value is ultimately more. I have successfully obtained the update of KB2919355 works on my computer.

  • Downgrade HP ENVY 15 TouchSmart 15-j023ea for Windows 7

Hello forum, I have a little problem here...

I tried to downgrade my new TouchSmart from HP ENVY 15 15 - j023ea for Windows 7 because it is more familiar/current for me but unforunately I noticed that my laptop is not in the list of drivers for HP

Also, recent models of Envy TouchSmart 15 have no drivers windows 7 (at least what I've seen)

My laptop came with Windows 8 is installed. I installed my windows 7 on this computer and realized I have NO drivers for it...
This is the reason why I went to windows 8 right now and try to find a solution.

I really want to downgrade to windows 7 x 64. Are there drivers for this OS? If someone could help me I would really appreciate it!

    Hello:

HP has come out with some new notebooks of W7.

You should be able to use all the W7 x 64 drivers of this model on your.

DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK

The only factor that is missing is the Intel HD driver you need to install the first before installing the Nvidia graphics driver.

  • Can I use an existing Windows 7 Professional Upgrade DVD for Windows 7 Professional upgrade using the keys I bought instead of loading down?

I've updated three of my computers from Windows XP Professional for Window 7 Professional using kits of DVD I bought. I have three sets of Window 7 professional DVD in my possession. I bought a new license [facility provided by Microsoft key] for my ThinkPad. I ordered also accompanying the DVD, which I imagine will happen next week. Rather than wait for the DVD, can I use one of my existing 32 Bit Windows DVD for installation to upgrade with the new license key that I got from Microsoft?

No problem - but you might want to wait, if your existing DVD is the original version, because a new will have SP1 integrated, so it'll even some hassles :)

  • HP Envy 15-J112tx upgraded lower Windows 8 for Windows 7

    Hello

When I went down to win 8.1 for win 7 I noticed there was about 11 problems displayed in Device Manager.  These varied shape and PCI, USB, ethernet network and various others.   NVIDIA said that it could not load until the Intel stuff was loaded first.  It wasn't in DM, it popped up when I tried to load some drivers manually.

Really, I don't want to guess what is wrong here but may have something to with the equipment set up to win 8 used with win 7 drivers etc?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Concerning

    Hello:

The pages of HP driver for a large number of 17 and 15 models are not working/lack of driver tabs, lack of drivers for some operating systems.

HP is aware of the problem and work to solve.

When the pilot pages come back upward, there should be a W7 x 64 driver for your model option.

To install the graphics, you will need to install the Intel chipset driver and restart.  Then install the Intel HD graphics driver and restart, then install the driver graphics nvidia and restart.

If in a few days, is not supported for W7 driver for your model, there will be W7 x 64 drivers for the j100-17 t, which has the same hardware as yours.

The W7 x 64 drivers are currently missing from this model too.

  • Envy 15-j0000: installation procedure for Windows 10

I want to install windows 10 x 64 using a USB flash drive. But I'm a little confused on UEFI and inheritance issues.

    Vikesh_navin

The fundamental issue is that the new machines have UEFI while the old machines using the BIOS.

Any accumulation of PC after Win8 came out likely UEFI; those built before, aura of the BIOS.

The installation media Win10 you generate from the MS site will include the UEFI boot by default files, so if your PC uses UEFI, it it will use for the installation.

Legacy mode is a way to emulate the older BIOS, but it does not always work.

Here is a link with some information on UEFI: http://www.howtogeek.com/175649/what-you-need-to-know-about-using-uefi-instead-of-the-bios/

Your best approach is to build media Win10 using this link: install Windows 10 using the tool of creation of media - Windows help
