I read your post on how your desktop computer is not able to connect to your wired or wireless network, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

To re - establish a coherent link between your computer and the network, I recommend later in this document on troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 8), as well as Troubleshooting Wired Home networks (Windows 8). This should help to run a diagnostic on your system using the network and Internet troubleshooting, as well as measures to maintain your system over the wireless network.

In addition, I suggest also follows the steps below to ensure that your power management settings do not interfere with

the connection to the network:

1. open DEVICE MANAGER
2. open the NETWORK CARDS
3. right click on the WiFi adapter for the pc and left click on PROPERTIES
4. click on POWER up.
5. remove the check mark beside : ALLOW the COMPUTER TO TURN THIS DEVICE SAVE START STOP

  • WiFi for computer laptop HP ENVY 15 and Ethernet connection problem

Hi, a few months ago, I brought a HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC running windows 8.1. It is connected to my wifi with Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter. My modem is a Technicolour TG582n 2 Wireless ADSL + with wireless 802.11 b/g/n compatible.

As soon as I got there I noticed a problem of internet where I would be able to connect to my home WiFi network and get full reception bars but would have a hard time to access Web sites on web browsers such as chrome, mozilla and internet explore pages takes some time to load and eventually reached a page "this webpage is not available" (for chrome). This problem seems to occur only with my home network as it can connect to public wifi and my wifi friends and yet I have many other devices such as laptops and other smartphones connected to my wifi that did not at all have poblems with internet and it just seems to be mine. When I connect via ethernet I get good connection for about 10 minutes and then I was completely cut off. However, I can upload a file via the wifi ok if I can get it to start and I can play a game online well enough but often disconnected after an hour or two.

I checked for new updates of pilot, but they seem to be up to date and im do not manually downloading and installing one on the hp site but I tried (I did probably wrong). I ran the diagnostic function, but it cannot detect all problems. I looked around the internet as well, but still havn't found a solution.

Also I got the laptop sent back and received a new but the same problem persisted and as I walked through the process of the person I was talking to a admitted that I had a problem like they remote limited from my laptop for a little for the access problem.

Please help, I've had this problem for a month or two now and is really becoming a problem since I use my laptop computer for purposes of requiring home internet work.

Thanks in advance and I hope you guys can help!

I understand that you have a problem with your connection Wireless at home. You are able to connect with full bars but are unable to access the web.   When you're lucky hours just access the Web, you can make a download if you get started in time or play games online for one or two before again declining. You ran the diagnostic function, but no problems were. You had the phone replaced for the same issue, but the replacement has the same question.

You know your network is an 802.11 G or 802.11n.   How do I know if my WiFi connects using 802.11n (as superuser)

    Please check this setting.

    1. Open the Device Manager
    2. Click the network adapters to expand the list
    3. Right click on the Ethernet connection, and choose Properties
    4. Click the power management tab
    5. "" Please check that ' allow the computer to turn off this device to save power "is not checked.
    6. Repeat this process for all types of listed under network adapters.

  • Envy 15: HP Envy 15 - Intel 7265 - WiFi fails to connect

    Hello

I have a HP Envy who came with 10 windows and has an Intel WiFi 7265 card. I started the Setup program and was able to see WiFi connections and connect to the office and two - House. Once all updates completed, I usually used it between the two locations of WiFi - both work very well. However on a trip, I tried to connect to other WiFi and since tried about 6 different options and all fail - "Connecting" message shows, then disappears and no connection was made.

Different wireless devices include a 2Wire, Dlink, Cisco Enterprise Access Points, Access Points, a three hotspots different telephone based. All do the same thing.

    Steps for debugging:

    (1) update driver. HP site has a driver from March 2016.

    (2) installed the driver Intel AC-7265 from 09 20, 2016.

    (3) change the settings for the favorite band at 2.4 GHz and also at 5 GHz and neither make a difference - DLink business devices and Cisco work in both frequencies.

    (4) change the widths of 801.11 channels to 20 MHz only.

    (5) changed "wireless mode" in the pilot of 802.11 a, then g, then a / g and back to the default a/b/g value.

Done everything above with the disabled on Bitdefender firewall.

None of these worked, shaped so I'll post here, to see if maybe someone else has had something similar and did get a resolution.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

I finally get a resolution - not really a resolution, but at least my WiFi working properly I can say - I ended up factory restore.

In essence, it is a workaround, because everything that triggered the issue could not be overturned and fixed. Had to spend the whole weekend to get my data/apps etc put in place again, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid.

I think someone else can begin to rebuild their system instead of having to try all the options we've been through here and save themselves a lot of hours of frustration.

    Thank you.

I have a HP Envy 4500 home and signed up for the moment of ink.  Works very well and I was hoping for a similar arrangement for my daughter who has just started at the University.  It seems that there are problems with the HP Envy 4500 connection to University share wireless networks.  I was wondering if the following scenario would work:

I have a HP ENVY 750-177c and has been upgraded and 2 thin black wires were disconnected from the motherboard.  They have loops at the end of the wires that look like they might slip on the pins.  The wires connect to the upper part of the box of the computer.  Where to reconnect?

Find this card in your system. It is the M2 half-bridge Wireless card.  The other end of the wires must always be fixed.  There are 2 heels left and right of the '2 '.  If everything is correct, it is your physical WI - FI antenna. Just re - stick inside the case.  The small clips are used for an external aerial connection.

    Hello.

I recently had a new router, which has two networks. One, with a 2.4 Ghz wifi and the other with wifi 5 Ghz.

I read my laptop specifications and details and said he had a dual wifi card incorporated, which means that it supports 5 Ghz wifi. My problem is that it does not recognize the 5 GHz network (the network name does not appear when you search for available connections). Is there a problem which may be the cause?

To reset the settings of the admin in the printers Web server shipped as shown in the screenshot you have validated, you need restore the network printer. Once restored, you must give the printer on the network.

To restore the network settings, you will need to access the menu/wireless network on the front panel of the printer and look for the default network.

Please do not forget to keep me informed of the result, so I can keep up with you. Thanks, I look forward to hear from you.

  • HP ENVY laptop - 13-d045tu: BCM43142 change on Envy 13 wifi card

    Combination 792608-005 BCM43142 of Broadcom 802.11 wireless network adapter b/g/n 1 x 1 Wi - Fi and BluteTooth 4.0 m2

There is problem of BOUNCING on Windows 10 wifi connectivity so I change to another card and at the same time offering an AC 5 GHz connectivity.

One of the options I'm considering is Intel AC 7265 (HP part no 793840-005) that comes standard in the variant of other Envy 13 sold elsewhere.

Newer that I am wanting to NGFF Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 (8260NGW)is another model.

Can anyone tell if there are fears white list on the question if these cards above would work on my laptop?

Should I get the AC7265, I get the part specific HP itself or the Intel will do?

    Thanks in advance guys!

    Hugo

You can safely assume that any HP laptop with a 4th generation Intel Core processor or newer has no whitelist wireless and yours is 6th generation if you are safely beyond the question of the white list. However, the real problem comes another question HP Wireless: the single antenna module, which is now installed in most HP laptops. Most of the 1 x 1 b/g/n modules have only a single antenna that makes it impossible to get to something that works in the 5 GHz band.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See p. 31. The manual shows 2 antennas and I hope that's right but the only way to be sure is to open and just look. If you see a single antenna wireless, I shut up and look for a usb dongle that is compatible with 802.11ac. Or prepare for a complete teardown add a second antenna.

The AC 7265 is good enough, if you have two antennas to support.

You also might as well get the variant of HP that HP has a big enough market share that are still lacking these autour and they do not cost more:

  • Envy 15 K2T37AV: Replace digitizer for Envy 15-Instructions and void the warranty?

I dropped my computer a few days ago from cracking of the digitizer, but not the LCD screen. The display still works, and I'm debating whether to pay to fix it or just do it myself or ask at a local store to do. My questions are:

    (1) do I have to dissect your laptop to replace the digitizer, or y at - it a simple way to just pull the digitizer off the LCD display and replace it?

    (2) in doing so void my warranty? Especially if I don't really have to unscrew anything, and given that the display is not covered by the warranty anyway, if it voids the warranty on everything else?
