The printer is in "Off" on the computer, and the light flashes on the wireless. The printer settings:
IP: Not connected

I recently bought a HP ENVY 4500 printer I it connected wireless through e-print HP, but it does not print any PDF files or documents web page, it would only print Microsoft Office documents. I tried to manually connect via USB, but it does not print anything, it just says: queue when I check on my Active printers the print job disappears as if its been printed.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there, I should have asked you to confirm if you try to print from a mobile device (smartphone or Tablet) or a laptop/Macbook computer.

I am trying to add my new HP Envy 4500 to my account connected to HP, but when I enter the claim code, I get "the printer is already claimed. "In order to claim this printer, you must remove the previous owner. Looking through the forum, it seems to be a fairly common problem. I disabled / re-enabled web services to get a new code to claim, but it gives the same result. I even reset the printer default and tried. This time, connected HP indicated that it had saved my printer successfully, but when I go to the devices tab of the web page I am greeted with the message "it looks like you have not added all devices connected HP account".
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I'm hoping to use the instant program of HP ink, but unless I can add the printer to my account, I will not be able to.
I managed to get this working afterwards by registering a new user account with HP with a different email address. Not an ideal solution (and apparently not a rare either) but at least it works now.
Suddenly, I can not connect to page of EWS for my printer (wireless) via the Printer Wizard. 220.127.116.11 does not connect. I can still print and scan but unable to connect to SAP.

I understand that you have a HP ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one printer connected wirelessly to a PC Windows 7, and even though you can print and scan wireless, you are unable to access SAP by using the email address of the printer. I would like to help with that.
It is an interesting question because if you are able to use the wireless printer, you should be able to access the built-in Web server.
You see errors, or messages?
Is the network in a home environment or work?
It might help to begin by restarting the router, if you can.
Try restarting the router and back with answers to my two questions so the router to start up doesn't help.

Recently I bought HP Envy 4500 printer. Connected to my router ok TP-Link3631 and have successfully printed from android phone and portable computer connected wifi but cannot print wireless from the office, running XP Pro, but allows you to print via a USB connection. Office see printer through a router using 192.168. etc and printed the report. Have tried to install the software via disc cd and internet several times, Inc. reinstall, but can not get computer to connect. Have been round and round in circles several times, also used print and scan doctor without success. It seems that the software is not fully installed. Or maybe something wrong with the network. I see by your post that one of the computers is not recognizing the printer on the network, but you can print by a USB connection. I can help you with this.
Type the IP address in the address bar of Internet Explorer to see if the built-in Web page printer server load on this computer.
Check the computer IPV4 address to see if it matches the first 3 games of the IP address of the printer.
Go to start, type cmd in the search box, enter, then type ipconfig.
Check the IPV4 address.
Now, check the IPV4 address for the printer. (192.168.1.9)
Do the first 3 sets of numbers match? (if they do not match then the computer is not on the right network)
Try and ping the printer.
In the same window, type ping printers (space between ping and IP address) IP address
What are the results?
If the available printer built-in Web server, the first 3 sets of numbers of computers had matched the address IPV4 of the printer and you could ping the printer, then try and configure the connection to printer wireless via the USB connection.

I searched through the forums and read a few threads about similar questions, but do not yet have a solution to my problem. The printer is connected to the network (even printed page "Congratulations, you're connected" with all the relevant information). It is on the same network as my laptop. However, when I run the exe to install on my laptop, it does not find the printer, even when I put the IP address the printer gave me on the congratulations page! I have run Avast Free Antivirus 2015 on my machine, but don't see any particularly troubling parameters which could interfere.
Any thoughts on how I can get the laptop to see the printer?

2. If you have installed the correct software for your HP Envy 4500 and the drivers on your computer, you will need to run

So I have not been able to use my printer wireless lately, so I decided to check if it was connected to my wireless network. It is; I checked, re-connected and checked several times. So I decided to reactivate my web services. I have them turned off, and now whenever I press the button on the printer ePrint, it says connection for a really long time and then displays the message in the sense of "the printer cannot connect to the server. Check the internet connection and proxy settings.
I have re-connected the printer to my wireless network, I checked that if I use a proxy server (I'm not), I used the HP print and Scan Doctor - just, it won't just matter what I do.
All I can think about is the fact that I have recently purchsed a new router, but says that its connected which is what really stem me.

I want to help you with the connection error, you get on your e-all-in-one of HP ENVY 4500 printer when you try to enable web services.
Here are some steps, I suggest trying to get your web services up and running it again:
Network Power Reset:
We'll leave the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router.), and then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.
Restore the default settings of the network and reconnect:
1. on the front panel of the printer, press your up wireless icon
2. Select settings.
3. Select restore default network settings.
4 turn on your printer.
5. once it is initialized to save, press the wireless icon again.
6. Select settings.
7. Select Wireless Assistant , and then follow the prompts to enter the details of your wireless network.
8. try to activate the web services again.
Configure a manual DNS for your printer:
1 obtain the IP address of your printer
a. This can be done by pressing the icon on the printer wireless.
2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser on your computer.
3. Select the tab network at the top of the page.
4. on the left, select network.
5. Select network address (IP)
6. Select manual DNS server
a. manual Preferred DNS should read 18.104.22.168
b. alternate DNS server should read. 22.214.171.124
7. Select apply. You can get a warning simply select OK.

There is lots of useful information to the Web site of your printer. In addition, the most important thing you can do is to install the full features software for your printer. The installation process should help you with the login process.
General instructions to install the printer software
- Open drivers HP & downloads
- Enter your printer model information
- Select your printer in the list of the 'results '.
- Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down
- Click NEXT and scroll down
- Find the category driver - software product installation
- Select the base driver, e-print, or a full features software
- Save the *.exe installation package (s) on your computer
The files will probably save in the "folder"downloads. "

Recently, I tried to connect my Toshiba laptop running Windows 8, wireless on my HP Envy 4500 printer. I am trying to scan something on my laptop, I did with the printer before. I have the remote app, and I have connected to the network the printer wireless displays in the wifi of my computer. However, when you try to get the printer to scan, using the option on the printer screen, it says that no device is connected, and to ensure that the software has been installed and this scan to pc has been activated. I opened the application on my laptop, in hopes of getting better results using what it was, but he told me that the printer is offline, if it was obviously on. I'm not entirely sure why the printer doesn't recognize my laptop, even if my laptop recognizes. I understand that you can't scan with your Envy HP 4500 to your laptop Windows 8, and I'm happy to help you with this problem of connection!
To get help, I'll need to know the following information:
- If the printer is capable of making copies of itself.
- If the power cable plugged into a surge protector, or directly on a wall plug. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

Hello to my deep regret, that I recently bought the HP Envy printer. After finally connecting the wireless printer, I find now that I can't maintain a connection for more than 5 minutes.
The problem does not exist using the chromebook (eprint)
The only way to reestablish a connection is to go upstairs and turn the printer on the wall, then power off.

Hi, I have a new HP Envy 4500, and it does not connect to my wireless network. He sees the correct SSID (using WPA - PSK / TKIP or AES), but he will not join the network after providing the WPA key. I finally solved this problem after 2 weeks of trying everything! Based on the above comment from BH, I thought that I had to turn off my radio show from 5 Hz. My new router has prevented to me because of the way Cablelink run their software. However, I finally got access to change it. I disabled 5 Hz. I still have the invalid password! Then, I changed the predefined WPA WPA2. It worked. I turned on my 5 Hz back show, the printer is remained connected. I then changed back to WPA2 and immediately lost connection! I put it to WPA and it connected again! I did NOT change key wireless, he remained at 16 characters, just the level of security! It seems if I want my Envy NEW 4500 with UPDATE drivers on my wireless network, I have to REDUCE my password security, which comes by default with modems cable new with Cisco, and accept the WPA! The strange thing is my old Iphone 4 and my old Apple TV both connected without problem. Therefore more recent Iphone to my wife 5 c and our newest Samsung UHD TV. So why a NEW model of printer is sold in stores right now, not able to work on WPA2? I lost 2 weeks on this issue before the sort it! It works, but I'm not happy! Same HP UK failed to connect after 4 hours on their online chat and remote assistance online! I worked it out myself from the comment by BH! Thanks BH. HP POST PLEASE A REPLY ON THIS THREAD WHEN YOU FINALLY WRITE A SOFTWARE FOR YOUR PRINTER TO WORK ON WPA2. MAYBE YOU CAN EMAIL CISCO IN ORDER TO WORK OUT HOW TO DO THIS BETWEEN YOU.
I have a HP Envy 4500 home and signed up for the moment of ink. Works very well and I was hoping for a similar arrangement for my daughter who has just started at the University. It seems that there are problems with the HP Envy 4500 connection to University share wireless networks. I was wondering if the following scenario would work:

I just got a new computer with Windows 10. I have no problems wireless printing to my HP Envy 4500. However, I can't scan from the printer or computer. I downloaded the HP scan and capture the app on my laptop. When I click on "capture the Photo" or "Document of Capture" in the application, I can hear the printer starts to scan, but then I get a "general failure". When I try to scan from the printer, the printer is "impossible to connect to the computer" (However, I am able to send something to print without problem).
Then I connected my laptop via the usb port to the printer. When you try to scan from the printer, the printer is still unable to connect to my computer. When you try to scan from the HP app, it will sometimes (about 1 in 4 attempts), if I click on "Photo capture. However, it will never scan when I click on "Document capture. Getting a diagnosis of "General failure."

My printer connects wirelessly with my MacBook to print. It seems perfectly fine copy.
However, the scan will be get no MacBook computer a friend and scan to it and refuses to scan at mine. I tried printing via system preferences > printer and scanner, tried to remove my printer and add it again to the impression that tried to download drivers for Yosemite to find that the error in the application downloaded impression told me that airprint was not working and the scan could not be completed. On my printer, my computer was never seen on screen as one scan to. How to solve this problem?

I had some problems printing with my desire to hp 4500. I recently bought this for use with my laptop, which runs windows 8.1. I tried to print wireless with mixed success. I can't print anything product of microsoft office, firefox, etc. I can't print a PDF file or the other - with a catch. If I print the document first with adobe printer, save the document, and then print with the printer of the desire, it will work (for a few pages at least). This happens even if the original document is a pdf file. Hello. Thanks again for your help. I found how to solve my problem. I know now that it had nothing to do with the printer or its software. Something was wrong with my registry or files of certain parameters that I couldn't identify myself, that I tried to plug the two this printer in my lapotop via a usb port and installation (with the same problem). The same problem happened when I connected usb printer older that I know works (hp 3050 has-for printing at least) and still had the problem. I just did a windows update and had to reinstall everything. Now, I can print and scan wireless without problem. I would like to have a more simple solution. Maybe the idea of my friend to install a registry cleaner from the beginning was a bad idea. You live and learn, I guess.
