HP Envy 4501: Ink cartridge does not
My HP envy 4501 claim that the new real black HP61xl ink for older generations. Its identical to the empty cartridge, I deleted. But I can't get the printer to accept
HP has changed the design of cartridges HP 61xl some time ago. The new version works in older printers but new printers (for example, envy 4501) will no longer accept new versions of the cartridge. I have a US HP Envy 5530 who should use the ink cartridge 61. I am now back in the United Kingdom and the replacement cartridge says use 301.
When I do that, I get an error on the printer saying that the cartridge is not compatible.
Suggestions (other than track down 61 ink cartrdiges) greatly received.

You can call the HP support at 1800-474-6836 hotline so the tech supervisor can make the process of 'Régionalisation' (on the location that you set on the printer and the cartridge is riding) so you can still use it in the United Kingdom.

My K850 printer is not printing cyan. According to the Toolbox of the K850, cartridge series cyan was 75%, and the health of the print head has been fair. The cyan cartridge was beyond its expiration date I replaced it. The new cartridge does not better than the old cartridge print. Before I spend another $40.00 + did someone has something to suggest?
Although the cleaning of the print head has helped a little, it did not help, so I bought a new cyan print head. When I installed the new print head, the printer automatically aligned to the printhead and now cyan works very well. Unfortunately, the alignment process pointed out flaws in magenta and Yellow Printhead. Now everytime that I print anything the printer goes through a continuous systematic alignment printhead to try to correct the magenta and Yellow Printhead, waste of paper and ink, until I cancel all print jobs. New cleaning of the printheads and the contacts did not help. In the end, no matter what is the status of print head in the tool box, replacing the print heads is the only solution that worked.
I have a Photosmart C4780 printer which I am putting in place. It is connected and 'impression', even if nothing appears. When I try to print the alignment page that nothing comes up except for 2 tiny small black lines the top of the page. Makes me think that the ink cartridges are not defective. When I tried to print the alignment page, looks like it's something printing, but nothing is there. I tried troubleshooting and turn the printer off and on again to redo the alignment exercise. Someone at - it advice?
Hi there, how old are the supplies you use? I'll assume that you have checked that the ink levels from the Panel before or through the printer software and its showing that there is little ink in the cartridges. If the printer has been lying idle for awhile with the inserted cartridges they can become crust around the nozzles. You mention that you have tried troubleshooting, you run the automated tool to clean the cartridges? I included here a link to the document to support troubleshooting for print quality problems. Scroll down to step 6 of Solution 6 (just below the images in the print quality report) and follow the steps there. If this does not work, proceed to step 7 which explains how to clean the surface of the nozzle of the cartridges.

Recently, I replaced the ink cartridges on my Photosmart 7510 C311A. These are all the "genuine HP cartridges ', full.
Black ink (with the symbol of the Pentagon) does not print, not at all. I ran through the standard troubleshooting steps:
Cleaning of printheads
Cleaning of copper contacts
* Check for a good evacuation
My colleague in the corridor as the printer even so I borrowed his black ink cartridge and tried: same problem. The printer does not record that there is a problem, but when I run printing tests, where there should be a black ink, there is absolutely none. All other colors print correctly.
The printer doesn't lack NOT of the printer "align" test however does not offer a suggestion of what to do from there. I've not seen - in test reports - an indiciation of the misalignment.
Suggestions on what to do now?
I had the same problem. I had replaced the empty cartridge black and suddenly, no ink. Finally, what has worked is
(1) I removed all the cartridges and cleaned the copper connectors with wet Publix.
(2) I got a wet paper towel and he pressed repeatedly on the silver circular vent that would be under the black cartridge. I did until no black came. Let it dry.
(3) I replaced all the cartridges and on the printer. I went to tools/clean the cartridge. I did it a couple of times and he finally printed black ink! I confirmed by going to tools/align, and align the cartridges successfully. He had kept before crashes when the black ink did not work.
I have a HP Officejet 6500 a and have an operating system of Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 15R. The printer does not print any black ink. I have genuine HP cartridges and the black cartridge is about 75% full. It was working properly until this morning. I downloaded your troubleshooting and everything seems fine. I ran the program cleaning head several times, but I can't always get black ink on a page. The other colors are fine. After the second head cleaning, I got a very small black image, but head cleaning has resulted in no black ink. I made sure that the wind had been reached on the cartridge and this problem occurs with wireless and hard wired connections. Time before, it happened and when I replaced the cartridge, it worked. Windows XP Service Pak 3, HP 5510 Officejet, printer, USB connection.
Won't let me open the ink cartridge door. So, I can not install new ink cartridges. It started about 3 weeks after I deleted some other software. When I touch the door to open it, I get this flashing Error Message - "Door open, door close print cartridge." (but door is not open, it is locked closed). . Printer will print documents correct, my problem is that I can't load new ink cartridges. I could probably force and break on it to open it, but am afraid my printer does not work after that. I love it and want to continue using it.
Three times, on different occasions, I crossed the steps on your website to reset the printer. They did not solve it. I opened the back of the printer and looked for any paper jams and tips or debri. I took can air and exploded all over where I could, but nothing came out. I don't have a paper jam, when this started.
Is there a code pin or something to get out, the door somewhere?
If I force rotating door and breaks, the printer works?
Problem started on December 14, 2010.
The 5510 JO has a Center door that goes through the top on both sides. It is possible that the door warped a bit in the middle and create a barrier that will not the door opens without a lot of strength.
Solution: Hold the door with both hands as you open the door, then take both thumbs and press down on the top of the door to repel the distorted area and then lift the pen access door.
I'm having the same problem. New cartridge. I bought a pack of three for $59.00. I think to install a new one and return to the rest of the three Pack if one is defective. Don't know what else to do.
Please perform the below mentioned steps, which should solve the problem.
- Check the level of ink on the ink cartridges, it should be full of > 25%.
- Press on the SETUP ( button tool key icon), and then
- Press TOOLS , and then select CLEAN PRINTHEAD.
You may be able to execute the above mentioned as follows at least for 2 - 3 times.

Hello, I have checked the ink cartridges levels three color and just installed a new black ink cartridge. I did a test of color, which shows any blue. I did all three levels of cleaning the cartridge heads. The screen still shows that I have adequate levels of ink, but no blue out at all! There was a drop of blue outside the cartridge, so it's not like it is clogged. Thank you!

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500. It's probably 2 or 3 years. He says not what 8500, but I think it was
a diagnosis 'as model A909a. My level of printing showed that the black ink cartridge must be replaced. I knew too because what should have been print black was printing a red light faded. I replaced the black cartridge with a HP product, but it is always print red and get more faded. Any ideas what could be the problem? Thank you!
UPDATE! Good news! Somehow I discovered that I needed to update the software. I think it could have been through the option "Scan Doctor". When I tried to install the software on your computer it wouldn't. But I went directly to the HP software download site, informed my hardware information and that worked! I downloaded and installed the updated software and that fixed my problem of black ink cartridge. I'm so happy and proud of myself!
I found the solution for me!
I put a new ink cartridge in the printer by default printer Hp laserjet 3020, but it prints as if the cartridge is dry.
According to the description of the problem, you cannot print after changing the cartridge for your HP printer. I suggest you to see the steps provided in the below items and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

This is the first time that I replace ink for my printer Photosmart Premium model #C410a. Went to Staples and got 2 different cartridges on 2 different trips. I replace the cartridge 564 is regular black ink, NOT black photo. The cartridge is very thin. First of all, I bought the regular black 564 and it was too big to fit in the space provided (the only place that would fit that size is the photo in the black). So, I went back and got the 564XL. I was assured that he would do. Once again, too much fat. So I went to the hp official shopping site to try to order through them. They didn't even have my model listed as a choice in the drop-down list to decide what ink I would buy. The only numbers listed were: C4140, C4150 and C4180. What is a girl to do? Holy moly! I am amazed... I completely messed up. I'm generally pretty well about these things and I didn't know what cart. was that, when I installed them. My ink level is full. I just replaced my black cartridge (with genuine HP cartridges). No black is printing. I tried all the troubleshooting tips including the alignment of the printer, clean the print head. Remove and reinsert the cartridges. I replaced the cartridge several times during the past year is nothing new. Can't understand why black will not only be printed.
This is your last hope.
