HP Envy 5530 e-all-in-one: copy/scanning does not work
All the functions of the printer/scanner worked before Windows upgrade Windows 7 10. After 'upgrade' to win 10, scanner and copier functions are kaput.
Printer funtion still works
* Copy funtion indicates "" Now"copy" but never active scanner. Pressing Cancel does not stop the process.
* Manual SHUT DOWN does not work with constant "Shutting Down" message.
* Scan to the computer and scanning to E-mail functions do not work
* Try to run Windows scan "does not recognize the HP profile" and cannot scan using Windows 10
* Initially received 'C4EBA230' message on the printer screen blue with flashing icons, but a hard reset solved error
* Have completely uninstalled & reinstalled software base three or four times of HP and HP update disc once software has detected and installed
* Ran HP, utility for troubleshooting several times before and after reinstalls for problems of scan - driver detected every time problem. Ignore the results of audit of pilot and proceed to the verification of scan did not work
* Performed four resets hard to return to the firmware with parameters.
* Tried scanning HP and Capture app (Nope - message "Device is busy" - same device is not)
* Voltage checked the cable power and the wall outlet (OK)
* Checked ink levels (more than one half full)
* Searched updates firmware (not available on HP support site for want 5530)
Seems to me that it might be mutiple problems/possible solutions:
Machine firmware problem? n ' any means to reinstall the current firmware via a download?
Mechanical scanner problem? -scanner engine bad/blown bulb? -where is the nearest HP Service Center authorized Texas?
New driver development necessary to scan to computer compatibility with Windows 10? -C' you all of the problem

My printer, HP PSC 1410 all-in-one works fine as a printer, a scanner and a copier until I had a virus and had to reformat. I'll see if your able to do a firmware to the printer, you can access that if his etherneted to the router in the SAP (built-in Web server) or wireless IF that is not the problem I call 800-474-6836 and talk to tech support of HP to get the product being replaced.
follow these steps to access the SAP of the printer
If the printer is installed on a computer, open the Solution Center Lite software, click the printer Preferences and click on "homepage (EWS) printer" once loads pages click on the tab "Web Services" and click on "Product updates" (that is to the left) at this time, it will install the updates

-From my iPad, the app AiO says that my printer is not compatible with the application!

According to French support, the product page is fake, so I was waisting my time.
I'm unable to use my fax/copy/scan on the printer functions. The printer works well when printing from the computer. I've done all the troubleshooting... Disconnect, restart it (printer and computer), etc. All the reports that I ran to the 'troubleshooting' return with all PASSES. But when I re - try these functions, the printer display "starting fax" or "Start scan" and "start copy." I've been here for the last 10 minutes trying to get a copy, and the screen is still showing "start copy". And while they are 'begins', I am unable to 'x', so I put off the printer. The printer is 2 years old and we bought the extended warranty expired 2 months ago thanks for any help you can provide.

The material (both print & scan) worked well on OS 10.10.x but as soon as I xfr needed a MBP less 10.11.4 it stopped scanning through the HP software, but will work under Mac software scan. (The side of the printer still works fine.)
Welcome to the HP Forums! I'd love to help you to scan from your 5530 craving for your Mac. I understand from your description that it worked well when you have 10.10, but since the upgrade to 10.11 you can print but not scan.
Let's start with resetting the printing system, uninstalling the software, repair the permissions of the drive and re - install & re-add the printer:Scrub / uninstall
When I try to scan, I get a message saying that the USB port is not installed. It is installed, but I bought a new USB port and still get the same message.

Have you already tried to install the software and drivers from hp.com printer? If you do not try to download the HP printer installation wizard for installation. This tool will find the most recent version of the printer software and drivers available for Windows 10.
If you have already installed the printer software, try downloading and does not perform the HP print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and solve many problems of printing software and printer.

My newly installed (Jan 2015) ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one prints only two pages of a document with several pages of my HP desk top 500-123ea, windows 8.1. Message on PC "Unable to print document", it's even on Double or single sided printing. A ran Scan doctor, OK; reloaded software and Firmware from the Hp site. He spent hours and hours of reading the elements of list of support HP; Impossible to talk online with HP. very in angry and frustrated. This HP product seems not as "fit for purpose". I will give HP Feedback after this announcement and rate accordingly. I beleve others have similar experience of this problem. HP is aware? Is anyone out there that can help?

I can print with printer through windows and Mac PC cable. but, I can not connect between rutour and the wireless printer.
I used the Setup Wizard and found the SSID name. I typed PW. but "Not connected" is displayed.
I print the Configuration Page from HP network.
What else can be done using wireless printer.
If you try to connect your printer to the router, you should make sure that wireless Direct is trurned to offshore. Direct wireless is a feature that allows you to connect a device directly to your printer without router (the printer generates its own wifi)
Please turn off direct wireless (it's often a button on the front panel) and try to connect again.

2) look for Desktop Window Manager Session Manager.

To use the Scan software on your printer, you will need to download and install the printer driver.
We recommend that you download the full features and it can be found here:
Once you have installed the software, you can click the icon for the printer on the desktop and it will bring up the HP Printer Wizard and you can use the Scan software.
You will first need to scan more than one page, select "Save as PDF".
Once you've scanned the first page, in order to scan several pages, you will need to click on 'Add page' (as shown)
When you are finished, you can save the document.

Printing and scanning functions are working properly, but the copy does not work. He stopped abruptly. I installed a new cartridge, nothing helps. Also unplugged printer and wait 60 seconds before I plugged it again. Still no copy. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Solved! I discovered that the printing and scanning functions used the color cartridge that printed as a dark blue. When I ran the copy function using the copy color button, it worked. Guess I had a bad black cartridge.

Scan does not not on my HP Deskjet F4280 all-in-One. The power button flashes when you press scan. Everything else works. I tried to unplug it from the wall socket and reconnect it. Not solve the problem. What else can I try? Or, is it a piece of junk now and needs replacement? My laptop (windows vista) did not go into repairs several months ago. Don't know if that had anything to do with it.
