HP Envy 5640: my new printer is connected wireless but not detected by the computer

I installed a new printer, but when you try to print, it records in PDF format instead of print. The wireless connection is good and shows the printer as the default printer.  How can I change the settings of the recording to printing?

I'm sure that the printer you see so-called 'Network' would be wireless. Make the default and try a test print.  If this fails, try the other being default and do another test.  Once remove you the one that is active, right-click on the printer late heading and delete it.  Worst case if that happens again call short number above.

    To confirm that your printer hardware is working, you are able to print a test page from the printer control panel? Video: print a test page.

    You see error messages on the display of the printer?

  • Printer not detected by the computer

    I have a HP Photosmart c4599 printer and an HP Pavilion a350n computer running Windows XP service pack 3.  I installed a new hard drive to boot, and inadvertently had my printer connected to the computer before installing the driver.  Now, I know that shouldn't be done.  My computer does not find the printer at all, I could find the cause of the problem but not the solution.  How can I get my computer to find the printer?

    Finally solved the problem - I bought an Epson.  No more HP for me.

    Printer was fine for 9 months.  That is, Apple devices could print using AirPrint.  Computers laptops MacBook Pro and Windows 8 were also very good.  But now printer is not visible by any device when trying to print / set up a printer.  Finally managed to do work with a USB cable, but it's not practical for all members of the family.  Have you tried:

    Full power reset

    Reset wifi

    Updated drivers

    Recycled all devices that are used to be able to see the printer.

    To confirm, the printer says that it is connected to the wifi & AirPrint and wakes up when the control panel is touched.

    I understand your description that the printer is connected to your network, but is no longer visible for your devices.   • Computer Dell laptop connects wireless but not online

    I have a Dell laptop that I bought about five months ago. We just bought a router wireless about two weeks ago and it was working fine until a few days ago, when the internet connection is slow all day until we have reset the internet modem itself. That day, my computer wouldn't connect to the internet after a few hours of surfing on slow internet. After that reset us it, he started to work very well. Then, the next day it was working fine until it just stopped to let us browse the internet. My desktop computer that uses a USB connection wireless and the Xbox 360 with WiFi, both work. Now, I pressed my button wireless countless times, and I am connected to my network with almost full bars. Some of the software on my computer can connect to the internet, as the update of windows, but I can't use any internet browser - I use Safari, but I tried as well IE.     Step 1
    : first of all, temporarily disable the firewall settings and security software and check if it makes a difference.


    NOTE

  • Printer recognized use IE but not detectable on Win7 add a device

    I'm on a network with a Dell desktop, XP Pro and a computer laptop HP, Win 7 64 bit.  I have a 2510 all-in-One.  All three devices are directly connected to the Netgear wireless router.  I do NOT use of wireless at this time. (However I want to connect wireless in the future).  Both machines are running Firewall and McAfee antivirus.

    The XP machine recognizes the printer and prints without problem.  Using the machine Win7 and IE, I can access the printer using the IP (192.168.1.2).  However, when I try to connect the printer to help add a device option in the devices window and printers, the printer is not detectable.  I disabled the firewall, the same results.  If I connect to the Netgear, all three devices are listed as connected devices.

    Any ideas?

    The have you installed again by attaching a USB?  If not, I must inform the fact that the first.  Once you have installed printer and works by USB, then you can make some changes to make it print on the network.

    Note: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

    I would check the cable carefully.  Sometimes, some of the wires are loose from the plug.  See if the laptop can connect to cables in other places.  If possible, the problem is with the cable and not on your computer.

  • Connected wireless but no access to the network

    I recently did a system restore and now I can connect to the wireless network or cable network but can not access google, msn, etc..  I can boot mode safe mode with networking and everything is fine - when I don't reboot - no joy.

    There is a chance that Norton has been corrupted when you performed a restore of the system. I suggest try to uninstall & reinstall Norton first. You can use the Norton removal for this tool: http://www.norton.com/symnrt. After having reinstalled Norton, please check if you face problem with connecting to google & msn.   • Connection has limited or no connectivity / wireless network not detected

    So two problems here

    1. I used to transfer studies ultrasound scanner for my HP Mini 110 - 1025DX PC. For this I used to establish a connection to the system, where the name of the internet connection was same as in HP mini and address IP was also the same, except for the last digit (i, e XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXX1 vs XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXX2). Firewall Windows should also be disabled for mini HP transfer studies. I repeated these steps after reinstalling windows but icon in the mini bar of task HP says limited connectivity or none and so I can't transfer studies. How can I solve this problem.
    2-HP mini also has Wi - Fi. Is there a way can mini HP tell me networks wireless in my range so that I can choose mine, key network related so that my wireless internet access also starts to work.  I'll be very grateful for any help.

    You want to connect your mini to the ultrasound with a cable machine and the mini to your wireless router to access the Internet.
