HP Envy 5640: Photographic proofs are a little red

I'm doing some photographic tests on HP Premium photo paper glossy. I replaced my Photosmart D7360 printer with 5640 desire. I see that I can't choose the paper actually, only HP photo paper. I print from Photoshop and choose Photoshop manage colors. My screen is calibrated. But the prints come out with a little red.

I know this isn't a photo as the photosmart printer printer, but it requires to get Lab quality prints. The prints look good but a little red.

I also tried with "the printer manage color" but he looked the same.

Is it possible to do something about it?

Can say also that I wanted a new Photo printer, but it seemed that HP sells not only anymoore of the series.

Hi @Tomo53,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that photos come out too red with printer HP Envy 5640. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand the frustration that this must be the cause of you. To clarify the HP Envy series replaced the Photosmart series. I am pleased that you made sure that your screen is calibrated.

What kind of paper do you use?

In order to determine whether the problem is with the print settings, or the driver, I would make a copy to see if the photo copy correctly.

Trying to copy a picture to test the (photo with perfect colouring) functionality:

To avoid jams paper and other issues, make sure that you use the right type and size of photo paper when loading tray main, entry and photos.

As far as I know, GSM is an acronym for "grams per square meter" and has exactly the same meaning as scientific notation more:

They provide a measure of the density of the paper; in general, the higher the value, the thicker paper GSM.

GSM values are used in the world; the major exception is America, which still uses the values of weight "books" (even though I believe that the significance of this measure differs slightly depending on the size of the paper "basic" which the eventual paper size has been cut).

  • pictures 1.0.1 quit unexpectedly after printing on HP Envy 5640

    Hello

I just bought a HP Envy 5640 printer.

It works very well, but every time I have to print a photo in Photo 1.0.1 NICU OS X 10.10.5, Photos will be leaving after that print is sent to the printer.

The photo prints fine, but needs pictures to be restarted every time.

Does anyone have the same problem?

    Any solution?

    Thank you.

I've not seen posted here - but since you are more than a year behind in updates, bug fixes and new features, you can see a verry old bug that has been fixed many years ago for people who follow to this day - unless he ia a clue right for you m = not updated I suggest you backup and update of OS X Sierra = and Photos 2.0 - this never can solve your problem

    How to run again?

    HI @z281.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. It is strange that your printer requires the use of a password.

So that I can better help you, I know what you are trying to do and when you are prompted for the password.

In addition, you have iOS as your operating system. What version?

  • Envy 5640: Envy 5640 draft output

I am trying to save the ink in the cartridge and use, draft mode, by changing the setting seems to make no difference in the quality of printing, I just tried a race 200 A4 sheets using two standard nine 62 HP cartridges, color & B and W, and the printer collapsed to 175 pages, lack of ink.

Had the printer two months, KODAK printers previously used when project machine could expect to almost 400 sheets to the same calculation.

The Envy range dedicated parameter hidden away somewhere?

    Hi @David_E,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you wonder why you get only 175 pages with your 62 HP ink cartridges with your printer HP Envy 5640. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

According to the specificationsof this ink cartridge, the yield is 200 pages. If you get a HP 62 XL performance is rather up to 600 pages. HP 62XL high yield black ink cartridge Original.

Please consult this guide, measuring inkjet printer Page gives on how these estimates are measured.

  • Want to 5640 e - Allinone: HP Envy 5640 cannot print without problem indicated

My hp wireless want 5640 e - Allinone scanner/printer all of a sudden couldn't print more with no error showing.

This printer has been used very frequently and it used to work well.  However, I kinda stopped using it for about 2 weeks, and today when I tried to print, whenever I sent a document to print, the printer status showed 'Impression' and suggested that the documents have been printed successfully; However, the printer was actually nothing.

I tried to uninstall/reinstall the hp printer driver for several times, used hp print and scan doctor showing all the controls without error, turned off the firewall, checked the wireless connection for my laptop and the printer and even used a USB to connect my laptop and printer, but still failed to get a response from the printer.  Fortunately, he was able to print an internal test page by printing HP and scan doctor, but not a test page.  In all these processes, the State of the printer was still showing indicating "Ready" for printing without error.

On the other hand, my printer have been able to print several documents sent from computer laptop of my roommate via connection Wi - Fi, and my laptop would have also ordered my roommate, a Canon one printer, to print via wifi.

This situation has botherd me all night and I'm actually much more dependent on the printer now that the school year has started.   I really hope that someone can solve my problem and I would appreciate his helpfulness.  Urgent need of your help!

    Thanks in advance,

    Willow

    Hey Willow.

I see that you are having a problem wireless printing using your printer HP Envy 5640.

If your roommate can print using your printer wireless, then I think that there is nothing wrong with his connection.

To restore the State of your printer, you can try to do a Hard Reset. Simply unplug the power cable from the wall outlet, then to the back of the printer. Wait at least one minute, then plug it on both ends. Normally the printer will power on automatically. If this is not the case, simply press the power button.

Blue wireless light should remain solid, once the printer is powered completely.

On your PC, go to run by pressing Windows + R keys on your keyboard.

Type services.msc and Services window should appear.

Restart the services listed below by right-clicking on them and selecting restart. If it has not started yer, select start.

    1. print spooler

    2 IP Helper

    3. web client

    4. network access protection agent

Try to print all your documents and see if it will work.

    Hope this will help.

    Nice day!

I tried the printer with word and acrobat reader and nothing going on (not even an error message)
I ran all the tests in diagnosis using HP doctor, I tried to receonfigure the network settings, I tried to uninstall

Reinstall the printer as a USB and a wireless printer, I even tried to disable the firewall and nothing seems to

  • Want 5640: HP Envy 5640 and Direct wireless

My printer HP Envy 5640 is able to connect using direct (http://www8.hp.com/ca/en/campaigns/wireless-printing-center/wireless-direct.html) wireless or not?

When I print the HP Network Configuration page, I see "Wi - Fi Direct '; This topic, 'Status' and 'Security' are both 'On '.

The results of the Test network wireless, I see under 'Network', he says 'FAIL' to "Network Name (SSID) Found".

I try to use the University to my home wireless connection and don't have available router information...

Will it end with a USB key to connect my computer to the printer?

I think back to this printer as this question has been very frustrating.

If you can help, let me know. Thank you so much in advance!

Read the manual for this printer supports wireless Direct. Just read page 59 of the User Guide to set up. However, you have the choice to your computer. Connect to your Wifi to Internet OR connect to the printer via the wireless Direct, not both. One or the other. We suggest that you use a USB cable.

Have you checked the settings there?

There must be a tab called "Color Management" or something like that.

    Good evening

A demonstration event, I want to change the password of my HP Envy 5640 live wireless, or delete the password completely. Is there a way to do this?

The printer is correctly installed, wireless. I have a laptop with Windows7 64 bit.

    Thanks for helping, cordially,

    Hello

Thanks for your reply. But this option is not available in this printer. In the Photosmarts series, it worked like that.

You can change the password to a staff. This is possible if your connection to the printer with its IP address in a browser.
