HP Envy 700-056: HELP, installed gpu but about 6 long beeps start and not starting

My pc was initially integrated graphics which simply do not cut it for some games so I decided to buy a graphics card (Sapphire x R9 double 270 x 4 GB of ddr5 memory). After putting in my gpu, I go to restart it and get to the white screen and 6 long beeps, however when I remove the graphics card, the computer starts well, id like help on what mean these beeps, and how to get my graphics card to work (if it's still the graphics card), my diet is the corsair cx 600 m

Hello:

Remove the graphics card and change of these 2 BIOS settings as shown on the link below, to replace the Board, and you should be fine.

I have recived portable computer of the Government with windows pre installed 7professional but now I want to format and reinstal it I require the startup disk and product key (my OS is authentic)

If it's a copy of volume license installed, you will need to contact your employer to find the product key and get the installation files.

If it is preinstalled at the factory with Windows 7 Professional, then use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

I replaced the power supply with Corsair RM 650 watt power supply that works very well. Now, I want to go to the graphics card EVGA 650 TI boost. Except, I can't get the driver to load with period of installed equipment. When I put the card into the PCI 16 x slot the computer starts with a blank screen. I pass the DVI video port old computer and the new port card white screen of same at startup. If I turn the PCIe port disabled in BIOS, it starts with the embedded video, but same thing impossible to load drivers that are not able to locate the new video card hardware. Makes me crazy! Looking to capture input-output video or simply?

S-Video graphics cards are pretty much out of manufacturing.  Search for a 9500 GT from NVIDIA if you want to output.  MS Windows 8 shows compatibility with the 9500 GT from NVIDIA.  There are several models of 9500 GT listed as compatible.

  • Product number: H5Q15AAR #ABA: jasmine - can I mix 4 gb and 8 gb DIMMS (Envy 700-056)

System was delivered with 3 x 4 GB DIMMS, I added a 8 GB DIMMS and thought I was hapily using 20 GB of RAM!

HP Support assistance - bios auto update and a new motherboard later I found a software that took place previously (VMWARE) complained I didn't have enough RAM.

Windows says 20 GB (11.9 GB useful)

I'm going to buy a second 8GB Dimm thought I can pair 2x4gb and 2x8GB - slots are color coded for couples.

I've lived all combinations and still Windows says 24 GB (11.9 useful) unless I completely remove DIMMs to 4 GB - I straight go 16GB.

All four DIMMS must match though. I need 4x8Go to get 32GB - all other systems I've owned was satisfied with the match.

I suspect my motherboard has a bad slot replacement sort but haven't 4x4GB DIMM to prove that.

    Any help would be great!

    Thank you, FITCS.

Thanks - I'll let it pass and go buy an enthusiast/Gamer box where I can more easily Exchange components.

Just to say it again if - memory passes all tests memory BIOS - tool diag HP short and long tests.  So the BIOS suggests that it is happy.  It isn't okay that suggests the test BIOS does not use memory in the same way as Windows 8

The BIOS provides much less control than I'm used to-when I migrated to the new machine, I'll see what I can do with the upgrade of the BIOS and the violin bit more.

It does not matter what combination of I put two DIMM memory slots, I see and can use all of it.  Only when I arrived on the 3rd slot & 4th I have problems.

One mistake I've seen during this process is the tool display options diag showed the 4 slot for wrong info but a relocation has taken care of that.

I appreciate all the answers - if she get finally work DIMM 4 slots I'll answer here with how it was done.  Although, I'm not going to buy another 4 x 8 GB DIMMS to test the manufacturer of memory as being the issue.

Great to see HP have such a vibrant community and customer service - (thank you Lorraine!  I don't think I've fully recovered since the updates to the BIOS has failed, but the service was stellar!)

  • HP Envy 700 - xt desktop: How can I stop recovery of training hard and switch to disk system?

Called Costco to get assistance from the technology with a desktop computer HP Envy. The tech asked me to do a system of hard drive recovery, even if I got recovery discs...

The computer screen showed 100% software installation of recovery in less than two hours and the machine came into fashion "deactivate the tower."

Problem: 'Disable lap' mode is still ongoing, and now it has been a full 6 hours and then some.

Question #1: Can the office be manually stop to stop the process without end 'disable on tour' without harming the computer?

Question #2: Guidance concerning such a judgment and then redo the system recovery once more, but this time with the recovery discs?

Theoretically, the hard drive by using Recovery Manager F11 recovery should produce the same results as the set of recovery disks.  The set of recovery disks will probably replace all and then give the factory settings.  The result should be the same, however, I don't see no harm to do so.  What did you do to try to get out if "turn on, turn off"?

On the thing to try before using the drive set - unplug the PC from the wall.  Press the power button, that would be turning on the PC if connected.  Hold button power in 30 seconds to a minute.  And then reconnect the power cord to back in and try to feed normally upward.
